KingNemesis got a reaction from Coaster in Logger's Leap
I can assure you, nothing has been done to the surrounding area of LL for the entire 2016 season, After going on BTS of Platform 15 on the 29th October, there was literally no change, apart from a bear in the trough.
You can just see his rump there!
That's not to say nothing has been done since, but it's highly likely nothing has...

If loggers leap is removed and a new ride opens in its place, it has then been redeveloped.
This is not rollercoaster tycoon, you can right click on loggers leap, delete it and place a new ride in its place over night, ideas need to be thought up, plans drawn up this is before they even apply for any permission needed but is all part of a re-development process.

You would however expect those dealing with the public to know the facts...

So it's going to be sat doing absolutely nothing for two seasons? No, I'm sorry, but that's absolutely shocking.
I also hate how they're still trying to pass it off as "redevelopment," they said that last year and no matter what happens to the area in the future, it was NOT being redeveloped, nor was it being "rennovated" (as they said in their official statement) throughout last year.
That's twice that they have openly lied to the public, I really hope they don't make this a third.

What is a good summary of modern Merlin is using some of the exact same snippets of speech in both the London Sweeney Todd room and Blackpool's pirate room...

The classic London Dungeon had many years of layering, style changes and fiddling about, so was a bit of a chaotic mess that had outgrown its space. It used to be quite a cool classy and full on gloomy experience, and entertaining. It went a lot further than most 'haunted' attractions in the UK into the plain freaky.
The more branded it got with scenes disappearing to make way for gimmicks and shoehorned attractions it was a bit awkward. The new one however is thin on the ground, just doesn't have the substance and is very Merlinesque if that's a term now. It can be fun but it feels like a typical London tourist trap brand basically, very different from how the whole thing started and does not suit the original location like it used to at all. Rented space in County Hall compared to old, genuinly horrific arches deep under the station makes for a very different atmosphere!
This is why the Castle one, though simpler, is so surpringly good as uses the space really well. Would be interested to visit Edinburgh dungeon as it too was an original one, also changed quite a lot though properly.

Plopsaland have revealed that during this saga, there's been 8 formal complaints about the lack of environmental permit, as well as general noise and traffic issues. They have, however, also received formal letters of support.
So in other words, nothing to worry about, they'll get a new permit and all will be fine.
Bring on Heidi!

When I visited Walibi Belgium Pulsar did seem to have a few issues with the turntable not working. Not too unexpected I guess given it's new technology and all that.
There was no obvious clunk or roughness over the turntable section either, but how it will stand the test of time is a concern. But since its Mack, I'm sure it's been thought through.

Well Tayto Park have a 5D Cinema and that's basically in a shed!

KingNemesis reacted to pluk in Mack Rides
I imagine the precision required for the track lining up if it is going to be traversed at such speed means this isn't as easy to pull of as it first seems. There's usually a clunk clunk over transfer track sections on even the smoothest coasters, over time and in constant use I can see this being a reliability and comfort issue.

Banned for being on a Thorpe Park Fansite and admitting Inferno isn't the best invert out there (we know it's not but you will get the Thorpe Police on us)

The historic wooden Roller Coaster is now a Grade 2 listed structure. I think that's great news, as it means the coaster will be preserved.

In other news, I believe that Evolution has left the park.

Well, the best ride's already out. Jeez. I don't understand why people don't vote for the rides which are really their least favourites.... It's just a bit silly.

The American geeks are split. Some are looking forward to having something other than Twister which is how I feel. Twister was just yawn with all its preshows of Bill Paxton and then a very unreliable effects show. When it worked it was good, but it got to a point where the Twister wouldn't form half the time and they'd already cut the shows down from 12 an hour to 6. It was just a nightmare in the end and lasted longer than any expected. For the synergy of the park it's a good step with the theming front and will bring life back to that corner. But it is also a huge in house marketing machine for both NBC and Comcast.
Let's say as well this isn't meant to be major, only a D-ticket, will be easy to update if Fallon leaves. I'd keep hopes low for F&F. I liked Disaster, but its closure was same reasoning as Twister: expensive to run, losing popularity and unreliable. Plus it had a huge plot of land. Which they're wasting on a pretty much clone of the Hollywood Tram Tour film just a fleshed out single ride with some nice cars in the queue. Nothing like they did for Kong. And I think F&F is being deemed an E-Ticket level attraction.
In more positive news:
Volcano Bay update! Just look at how gorgeous this is going to look at night.
They've now finally announced the water coaster, the TapuTapu band system for queueing and special effects and the fact it will be a queueless park.
And this lovely shot of one of the lazy rivers presumably going through the volcano.
http://blog.universalorlando.com/whats-new/volcano-bay-coaster-details/
It is a water park although they're pushing the theme park status, but it'll be a whole new category with everything else going on. So this will make up for Fallon and F&F until something like Pets or Nintendo happens. Or maybe Avengers or Dragon Challenge works or whatever is next!

This sounds dreadful imo...
It will get the people in but there seems to be little thought gone into this attraction...
Twister was amazing, loved the effects!
