adam_sparks1 got a reaction from LukeP_8 in Fright Nights 2014
I also feel that they should defiantly keep Asylum. In my opinion it was the best maze last year and every year since its been open. I had a few goes round CITW and I personally think it is rubbish. Not any real scares or really good actors. I may have got a few bad rubs but I really thought CITW could have been a kids walk through at bloody Chessington or Southend

Personally I found CITW the worst maze at Thorpe Park. Personally I believe the Asylum is the best there and has been since it was first used. CITW didn't have many jumps or scary actors. I found it boring and dull.

This is what I'd like to see! Replace the passing with big top and you've got a solid line up.
But in reality I guess we'll see an almost identical line up with some small improvements to the likes of dead wood creeks and Vulcans peak!

Vulcan Peak has been updated. And safe to say it's now my second favorite maze at the park. New second half was really really good with some great scares!

I really do wonder why they don't just replace it, it smells of damp inside and is visibly wonky.

adam_sparks1 got a reaction from SteveJ in Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Just want to say how good Derren was today. Queued 20 minutes and the new batching system is still working well. Timing was perfect from the hosts. First section was clear and all audio and visuals working. Timing was perfect again and didn't get help up. VR ended and we got off. Tunnel scene worked and many live actors was there. Second VR timed perfectly again, everything working and some interesting hosts holding my hand. And it's always fun seeing the GP reaction to the new ending. Probably the best I've had on Derren. Hopefully it's always like that and it's a solid part of the park. Was very impressed overall today.

adam_sparks1 reacted to msgjord in Thorpe Park Visit - 2017
I'm currently planning a trip which is open to all! The date has not been confirmed but will be either sometime this week or next week dependant on interest. This is intended to be a weekday visit.
I need to collect my anual pass on the morning so I will be there early. A meet point will be organised shortly.
I have made a group chat on Twitter as it's easy for everyone to communicate on. My number will be available for those on the day who may be late ect
Just tweet at me @msgnyc if you are of interest. As far as food goes I will most likely bring my own food but we can organise something for those who want to buy it.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

Sorry for the double post once again...
But the new Ferrari Land is more or less open (I think there was some sort of press day today or something) with Red Force now operating. So the European height record can now be taken from Shambhala!

So Phase 2 is happening with the shuttle coaster:
It's now called 'Turbo Track' and is meant to simulate what it's like to be a Ferrari test driver.
The track has a max height of 210ft (64m), which is apparently the tallest point on Yas Island, and a max speed of 63mph. It also has forward and backward facing seats,
What is impressive is how this has had the hole in the building custom made for this, which I imagine is something easier said than done.
Here's a couple of nice pictures too...

First 'big' coaster in the UK was the Scenic Railway down Dreamland. I remember my dad dragging me on it crying as a kid... changed a bit now [emoji23]

Being slightly older at the ripe old age of 33 - when discussing TPM with my other half, I was saying how bloody brilliant it is that the younger members on here are so cool and fluid with what sexuality they are or might be, and so open about it, it's incredibly refreshing to see how different it appears to be now vs. when I was in school in the late 90s - I'm not saying that there isn't homophobia and hate at school/college/life any more - nor am I saying that my school was particularly vilifying against it at the time - but just comments on here in general and being so open about sexuality is awesome Or to put it as posted previously - it's great that it's not becoming a "thing" anymore, that's how it should be.

All the park needs is just slight park wide theming... maybe even one or two scare zones around the park where actors are roaming. No one will expect Universal level but something simular is really needed.

adam_sparks1 reacted to Cornflakes in Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Got 2 rides on Ghost Train yesterday, each time I'm going on it I'm enjoying it more, however that 2nd VR section is still bollocks.
Operations towards the end of the day were incredibly poor, our group was held up in the area between the pre show and the ride for about 10 minutes, and by the time we got in the train so many people were put in in one go that the operators struggled to find everyone a seat, it was a bit of a mess.
One old guy attempted to sit on the floor as a form of protest but the operators were having none of it as there was definitely a free seat somewhere.

Don't know how official or whatever this, but party! Also the description is showing land names and park information. Didn't know if we knew this already or not. Really hopes this goes ahead.

The last time I did it the area as a whole was quite busy and the queue for the walk through was rather long. But they ruined it by making it a free flowing maze so it never seemed that busy.Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
