Still kinda sloppy running one train on rides that could run two.. Especially in comparison to parks like Europa.. Which run run three trains on Silver Star.. often.. But all parks do have there problems, and sometimes it can be unavoidable.. Though on my visits to BPB I wouldn't call there operations anything to shout about..
-
I think Silver Star depends on the seat.. I've noticed towards the back row the ride offers a few ejector moments, and the ride has alright floater air in most seats. I'd still call it great though, as it is a B&M Hyper after all. But its definitely one of the weaker B&M Hypers though..
-
Yep this will definitely happen.. Along with Rumba getting a revamp, Loggers opening this year, and a B&M Strata next to Swarm..
-
I think when done right free flow can be brilliant, look at Sub Species/Skin Snatchers. But with Thorpe's usually sloppy operations, the free flow mazes tend to overflow and overcrowd horribly.. Conga Lines do have a lot of negatives yes, but with the over-bearing demand that Fright Nights bring, it seems more practical IMO. Though I do agree on TOTT, which isn't helped by some stairs/uneven flooring which makes the conga line style even more inconvenient.
-
I think Saw Alive has been quite good post ScareCon. It seems they've loaded the maze with actors in the last few years, which means scares come quite thick and fast. Also Saw Alive isn't plagued with the issues of being a free-flow maze..

It depends on the reliability and the rides popularity IMO. For example Nemesis will most likely be around for a long time due its reliability and due to the ride being loved by many. Colossus on the other hand is fairly rough, and the ride hasn't aged very gracefully at all. I don't see Colossus being removed anytime too soon, but I definitely think the ride has started to decline. Even some of the GP have seemed to notice how rough the ride's gotten recently..
-
I think some of the new mazes have been quite good, and at times better IMO than the park's older mazes. Big Top (2016), Studio 13, Cabin (2013-2014), where all brilliant and good new additions. I think the park's problem as of now is some of the maze's are beyond stale now, and it seems some mazes are very short of actors. I also think the operations at Fright Nights recently have been quite poor, and the mazes are getting clustered with large groups..

It scares me how many things offend people these days.. Just be thankful that M Night Shyamalan made a decent film.. Coughs* The Last Airbender Coughs*

Tulleys Shocktober Fest Scream Park 2015
JoshuaA replied to lewumbrajumbos's topic in UK Attractions
I sadly don't see them implementing touch scares, but I think at this point nothing can save Hellements.. Overall I think we'll see Coven, Cellar, Hayride, and Haunted House all return this year. The rest of the Haunts I'm not all that sure on, though I guess Chop Shop is a fan favourite so I doubt it'll get the.. Well. Chop!- 95 replies

Realistically, I think where gonna see Saw, Platform, and Big Top all return, which is all fine as long they cleanup the utter mess which is Platform. Blair Witch I think might stay, as the new film kinda keeps the IP relevant. I think Cabin's spot will be where the new IP will be TBH, as Cabin's throughput and flow is awful, plus it seems a lot of Cabin's special effects have been let to rot recently.

Tulleys Shocktober Fest Scream Park 2015
JoshuaA replied to lewumbrajumbos's topic in UK Attractions
Ooooh! I think this is the most days they've ever done. Its crazy how much the event has been growing recently, I can't wait to see what they do this year! Hellements needs to go though..Like Now.- 95 replies

Rise Of The Donald? Maybe one of the endings includes the demise of America..
-
If its anything like Geisterschloss at Europa, it was probably a eerie and charming dark ride. I don't think judging a dark ride off a video really gives the ride justice though.. Dark rides have complete different atmospheres that can't be replicated in a POV..

This would never happen on Chessington Mania!
-
This is such a odd addition.. It definitely fills a hole in the lineup, but just slotting in non themed re-used flats feels cheap and tacky.
-
The park definitely needs all the flats they can get, but I wouldn't go as far to say they don't care.. I think the park is focusing more on the families recently with constant Cbeebies Land expansions.. The park is struggling, they receive nearly monthly beatings in the media, but hopefully this will calm down as time goes by. Merlin may have not dealt with it ideally, but I think me bashing Merlin now would be like beating a dead horse.. .

So, hey frens and fellow geeks. 2016 has been a pretty good year for me in terms of Theme Parks, so I thought I'd like to do a sarcastic recap of some of my major trips this season! Bulgaria: So even though you'd think this third world(ish) country would have nothing in terms of roller coasters.. In my cheap and tacky summer travels, I came across the best coaster I'd ever ridden, the best coaster in the world, a true beauty.. Why have that when you can have this.. Isn't it brilliant? Maybe Thorpe should install one next to their Aqua Trax? Blackpool Pleasure Beach: So obviously I needed something more ugly, something more tacky, so that's when I found BPB. Anyways, it was worth the trip up north. Skyforce was better than expected, the classic woodies where as fun as ever, and Wild Mouse was as brutally fun as ever! Infusion though.. Was much more rough then I remembered, so much, its taken my place for my least favourite coaster of all time! And.. Valhalla PortAventura: My main trip this year was to the poorly operated PortAventura! Was it worth it yes? Why? SHAMBHALA!!! SHAMBHALA! Sorry, anyway Shambhala was brill as always, Furius Baco was fun but brutal, and Dragons Khan was intense and fun like usual. The only new thing for me at the park was the revamp of their 3D theatre in the Polynesia area. The complete unnecessary revamp of the theatre has left the attraction looking out of place, and the show itself is extremely poor. The show is just regurgitated scenes taken from a seven year old movie.. Alton's version completely blows it out of the water, good job Merlin.. Other than that there is some neat shows.. The Stunt Show in Far West, The Can Can Show, and Templo Del Fuego are all as brilliant as always. Horror In Texas- Review: Throughout the park they where advertising a scare attraction for a small up-charge fee of 5 euro. So being the Scare Enthusiast that I am, I willingly payed as soon as I saw it advertised. Horror In Texas is a Scare Attraction built in a marquee under Tomahawk/Stampidas mess of wood, and oh god was it worth them five euros! The attraction had me on edge for nearly the entirety of it, and actors came out of nowhere, thick and fast! The attraction was a bit generic and goofy with its theming attempts, but it worked in a weird way! Even though being right next to two loud woodies, I didn't notice any noise bleed! The attraction also felt quite long.. And the attraction had a constant tense atmosphere which startled everyone in our group! Anyway that's all for today folks, good job to anyone who got to the end! Have a good holiday season guys, and have a happy new year! I'll leave you on this note.. SHAMBHALA!

I've got a few: I like Furius Baco (mainly due to its launch and the inline). I hate Slammer (it makes me feel like crap after riding it). I find Swarm force-less and dare I say it, boring. I think Th13teen is a brilliant family coaster and better than Rita. I like X I hate all the Disney Parks, mainly as they're so crowded and IMO overated. Log Flumes aren't my cup of tea, I've never been a fan of them TBH.

I would like a Mack. But anything with airtime is great!
-
Let's get back on topic! I think my first was X and Flying Fish back when I was younger. I remember X when it used to go backwards! It was so painful..
-
I'll probably get to all the Merlin Parks, plus BPB. I definitely want to get back to Europa, for me its like heaven being in Rust.. But I might try to fit Phantasia into that trip, as Taron
-
The first drop on Big One.. The rest is just painful and not fun. Rita's launch is another one, the rest of ride is pointless banked turns which fracture your shoulders..
