Celia Mae
Not convinced :-/ Bit messy for B&M surely? And all the extra bits coming off of it...
pognoi
Far too many flanges to be a B&M, unless it's supporting multiple pieces of track/scenery OldFarmerDean

Charlesberg
I will not be in the best of moods if they change it to a non-B&M
Altitude
Remember B&M has Baron 1898 in their portfolio now, and the supports for the drop on that coaster are totally wacky! I'm still holding hope...
J.S217
could this be supports for the indoor queue line.
Mitchada04
B&M use two factories, one in Ohio and one in Europe. This pole has been produced in Clearwater, not in a B&M steel fabrication place. Too much on it for one of their supports and I really don't think they'll make the supports green. Could very much be for Hulk, queue line is realistic as the old one had lots of piping. Lots of extra bits to like hang lighting and stuff from. Or could just be something made of steel, painted green and we'll never see of it again. pognoi
Ricky
It doesn't even look like it could be metal. It may just be a piece theming or similar. Or just complete nonsense! On a side note, Kong is coming along BEAUTIFULLY! (Photo supplied by bioreconstruct)
Charles Parry
Kong is indeed looking spectacular. Universal's theming is a proper rival to Disney now. Hopefully this level will reach the UK soon.
Benin
Kong is indeed looking spectacular. Universal's theming is a proper rival to Disney now. Hopefully this level will reach the UK soon. To be fair, Universal's theming has always been pretty good, even on the older attractions like Twister, Jaws, etc. That's some fantastic rockwork though... Matt 236
The rock work looks impressive. It'll be difficult to decide whether Kong or Taron win the award for the best rock work of a ride in 2016.
Mitchada04
Another crazy day! Skyplex got approved yesterday so the worlds tallest roller coaster is on track to hit Orlando in 2018. It'll be located between Universal and the Merlin cluster on I-drive. Universal have been very very anti this project. Very anti. Because this is very much how it would impact Universal... which is also having zero light pollution in this photo. They were arguing you'd be able to see it from Harry Potter and it would ruin the immersiveness. Yeah, no. One, it has federal approval to be 700 feet but it's only going to be 560 feet. Two. Not really that visible. Photos from Bioreconstruct on Twitter. Whilst Hulk is destroyed in that picture mainly, lets talk Hulk. Someone on a Orlando Forum mentioned that whilst riding Doctor Dooms they noticed the footer around the second half of the ride are being removed entirely. The lake set are just being worked on/altered for new supports. Maybe we will see a new ending, some theming elements, or have it enclosed. Anyone's guess at the moment. Meanwhile, the reason behind the hatred towards Skyplex may have come out today. Universal has intention and a contract to buy back 474 acres they sold off in the early 2000s when in money issues. It was originally intended to be developed upon and you have to assume it is being repurchased for this reason. They could just take control of the land though to stop others but with this area having a 700 foot height limit (where as Universal has a 200ft restriction in that area apparently- yeah, close council zones) and only being a few minutes from Universal it'd be surprising if they didn't use it. Anyway, apparently you'll easily see Skyplex from this new plot of land which will ruin the experience apparently, but there are ways around it that maybe they just didn't want to use. Tall hotels around the edge, big show buildings cleverly located. Could do anything really. I wouldn't be surprised to see that being a 3rd park though. Only thing is transportation. The site Could use buses, yeah but that's a pain. Another monorail system would be amazing, but it'd have to go through two different council districts and approval, just lots of barriers. Not impossible but improbable. Will be interesting to see, but with Disney parks being at the brink of capacity, can Universal spark a new park war? We all know the 5th Disney park is always rumoured like Universals 3rd park. And the two seem to build parks against each other. Very exciting time for Florida, and Dynamic Attractions is moving their creative department to Orlando too! Glitch and pluk
Mitchada04
Green track and grey supports outside of the Ohio plant on a truck. Wonder where it is off too. This should hopefully silence a small group of people who still weren't sure it was going to be B&M even though the station and launch track are still in place. Matt 236
Oooh Fresh track, fresh B&M track! Tbh I don't see how I could've not been a B&M anyway as it would've just been silly really if they'd got someone like Premier rides or Intamin to retract it . Ryan
Good stuff, now please hurry up and get it built!
Mitchada04
You should be okay Ryan. They'll probably start vertical construction in the new year once the Christmas crowds are over with, and the rate Universal build stuff it'll probably all be up by some time in March. Two months of testing, tweaking, playing with the effects they want to add etc and it'll be good to go. Taking it Kong is testing inside the show building and the exterior is near enough done, that thing could be soft opening anywhere from April I'd assume and it's known they want Hulk open with or before Kong so you don't walk through a construction zone to get to Kong. Whether that happens is another matter. With Potter in Hollywood being April, Kong being May would be my guess and Hulk June just to spread the press. Mitchada04
Well lots of track has been heading to Universal apparently with it being spotted nearby the park on the roads. Odds are it is being stored somewhere waiting for construction. Ricky
Mitchada04
Naughty double post but we have vertical construction around the back area! Won't be long now Ryan and pognoi
Matt 236
Knowing universal, it'll be fully built and darn close by somepoint in February. Uni seem to be very fast at building stuff these days compared to Disney who take Two years just to retheme a boat ride.
