Benin Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 Some pics from Liseberg's Facebook... This will keep me warm this winter... Quote
Mark9 Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 4000th post coming right up.. I'm going to put money on it. This ride is going to be the best ride in Europe by a country mile. I put so much faith into a Mack product and knowing Blue Fire, Helix is just going to be utterly sublime. EC!, Tom and pluk 3 Quote
pluk Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 Nice. TPMs first foreign trip, 2014? Quote
EC! Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 I really need to ride this ride!, this will make kanonen look like total dog poop! Quote
EC! Posted November 13, 2013 Author Report Posted November 13, 2013 More construction pictures from their official Helix website! http://projekthelix.se/mer-bilder-fran-bygget/ Quote
Benin Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Winter hiatus now over, construction continues... http://projekthelix.se/monteringen-ar-igang-igen/ Quote
TraX Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 Can. Not. Wait. To. Ride. This. Totally suprised these coasters haven't given B&M a run for their comfy greatness! Quote
Benin Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Big old update from TPR... http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1407296#p1407296 It's worth the visit, believe me... Quote
BenC Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 I have my flights booked already. At the very worst Helix looks like it's going to be a good terrain coaster. But I'd say there's a pretty good chance it's going to be top 5 material - Mack make such a quality product. Quote
Benin Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 So the drop out of the station has been built... pluk, JoshC., holtjammy16 and 2 others 5 Quote
mah boi Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 That part of the ride should be very fun on the last row. Especially with it being a Mack launch coaster. Quote
Mark9 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Oh my god. There are no words to describe how hyped I am for this now. Most anticipated ride of the year by a country mile. Quote
Benin Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 That part of the ride should be very fun on the last row. Especially with it being a Mack launch coaster. That drop is literally out the station, prior to any form of launch... Using the terrain to the advantage Quote
Inferno Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 That's how you leave the station! This ride looks bloody epic. BigDaddyCool 1 Quote
Deleted Users Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 So for people planning Liseberg trips this season, what else are you planning on doing? Grona Lund doesn't really appeal when one of its biggest coasters is a ZacSpin and I can't really find anything amazing to do in Gothenburg. Quote
EC! Posted February 9, 2014 Author Report Posted February 9, 2014 http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g189894-Activities-Gothenburg_Vastra_Gotaland_County_West_Coast.html This should help with planning things to do in Gothenburg. Volvo museum anyone As for Gronalund I checked this yesterday on Google maps and it said it was a 55 min plane journey or a 4hr 43 min, drive so unless you like driving alot then I would suggest against that. And yeah like Turtle said it has a Zacspin lol. Quote
J.S217 Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 Zacspin's are okay if its dismantled and in a pile of rubble Tom 1 Quote

Shame they never got that B&M Invert they did some concept for a while ago... Problem is it is the opposite side of the country... If you don't care for it, don't bother (especially as expensive country is expensive)... Quote

We're spending four days out there, two days for Liseberg (I'm betting Helix is worth the two days at the park) and the other two days are for cultural stuff. I doubt you'd need more then four days in Gothenburg itself. BigDaddyCool 1 Quote
