Garyy
My favourite ride in the country. I once went to the park and rode it all day and went on nothing else. The ride is great but it could be longer. On the day where I rode it all day, I sat in the log for about seven runs at a time as the park was very quiet. Discuss Thorpe's oldest thrill ride here. Clara
What I dont get about loggers is you can get quite wet when you get to the drop but moment you step out of the ride your almost completly dry :PIt's an ok ride winds me up when I go chessington though because people mistaken Dragons falls for Loggers Leap
S Bundy
I think loggers is great and it is the best log flume ride I have been on. I think it last for just about the right amount of time and my best bit is the double hill.
Garyy
I just wish it went on for about twenty minutes. because it's quite short, it's only my second favourite log flume on the planet.
Clara
So what are you saying you gonna wait 20 minutes for the double drop?
Garyy
So what are you saying you gonna wait 20 minutes for the double drop? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I probably wouldn't mind as I love drifting along. But I'd also like a couple more drops.
Cringle
Re-building the ride would be a waste of money. Its perfectly good and much loved. The only thing I could see them possibly doing in the future would be to exed the channel over the lake at the back, maybe add a few more meanders like in AT's one. It would involve alot of work: Planning Permission, Lake Footers (which are very hard and more expensive to make) and they would need to buy new logs etc.
IslandSheriff
No matter what time of year I visit and no matter what time of day it is I always have to queue longer for Loggers Leap than for almost anything else. It's worth it, though. I wish they'd do a tiny bit more with the theming... maybe just adding a few more things to the banks.
Sheepie
I was talking to my friend who visited thorpe today and they said that there were two actors who looked liked wax models but jumped out at them after the first drop...sounds like an interesting touch to the ride!Oh wow, that sounds cool. When I visited last month, they had actors on the bank before the first drop doing a fight sequence. Was really funny, and also made the 75 minute queue more bearable!! We definately need more of the same, and perhaps expand on this idea, as it's great!
MikeC
I really like what Entertainments have done recently, such as the Pirates outside P4D, and the same with Loggers actors.

Whiteknuckle
I love Logger's Leap aswell. It appeals to me a lot more than Tidal Wave. The only annoying thing is that irritating voice just as you exit the station and before the tunnel lift. I think the length of the ride is ok, but the layout is a bit basic. Ok, it's an old ride, still going strong, but I think it needs a bit of a re-vamp, and I don't mean Imperial Leather and loads of plastic yellow ducks Favorite moment, the final drop. Is it me or does the log leave the track on the hill in the middle, cos it feels like it, great Airtime.Worst moment, but still funny, full boat hitting the channel at the bottom, me in front, we come to a halt, massive tidal wave enters log. I was drenched.
Marc
Not sure whats up but I heard that loggers leap was suffering major problems all day yesterday, hopefully can be fixed soon!

DanJones
Great ride, love the pitch black idea. First time I didn't expect a drop in the dark! ;O
Theme Park bloke
I heard last year that Loggers Leap will be closed for the second half of this season, due to Dylan construction. Is this still the plan?
Chris
*resurrects topic*This was on wikipedia... Loggers Leap (largest log flume in the UK until 1993, and again since 2005) opened.I know its wikipedia, but what is that all about? how was it the largest and then not the largest then largest again? Loggers Leap is great, my second favorite at Thorpe Park!
James
It was largest, then the Flume at Blackpool was built and it was taller, but this was removed to make way for Infusion, making Loggers Leap the tallest again
Gareth
I love Loggers Leap; a great way to relax between coasters and Slammer!
themeparkaddict
Are they shutting Loggers early for Fright Nights this year?We went on Sunday (19th) and it was open all day, but at 8pm-ish when we went over there for a ride in the dark it was shut, drained and no one was in sight. Odd, because last year we had great fun on it! Maybe people weren't behaving on it in the dark last year...?
Tom
It wasn't open all day, it broke down and was drained.
James
Are you 100% sure it broke down? I don't know about Loggers Leap but this year the Flume is closing at 3.30 every evening because its not ideal evacuating that type of ride at night in case of breakdown. Tom
ask Phill and people on the meet, Phill knows everything... and I think it was broke down when we saw it, seeing as the entrance wasn't closed off yet and they were shouting at us to leave the queue Josh3103
TRGeorge
I'm going this friday, so I'll make sure that I ride it before 8pm just in case. It'll be so cool in the dark. Do they have any lights around the track anywere, like when you go past the totum poles and stuff? Josh3103
Fred
It was largest, then the Flume at Blackpool was built and it was taller, but this was removed to make way for Infusion, making Loggers Leap the tallest again I thought it was the logflume at American Adventure? ste193
