Ricky
The pole that house's all the lights and speakers in the middle of the pyramid.

Benin
You mean the 4 speakers at the base of pole? Yes, lots of speakers dotted around.. Fair enough only 4 speakers (my knowledge of the inner workings of X is limited as I don't exactly care for it), but surely on board audio could be a better option for noise, especially as it wouldn't have to be toned down for Fright Nights? Imagine a bassy train based audio system? Gggggggg
Gggggggg
It's not hard to miss haha I'm not observant! Besides, I don't wear my glasses when I go to theme parks out of fear of losing them Cal

SteveJ
Ironic, considering when X No Way Out opened it had onboard audio on every car (although the speakers were tiny). It would have been a good idea.
Dodge2002
I don't think onboard audio would suit in my opinion. Its always so tinny and never has any bass behind it. I personally like the current setup as it echoes a lot and gives a real club vibe. I do worry about how loud they're blasting music out of those speakers though as I guarantee they aren't designed to be doing that. It'll only be a matter of time before they blow. I think it better where it is I also think that X should Change When there MOS events on for example if there is a MOS 90's night X should play that music Matt 236, OldFarmerDean, Cal and 1 other

All the speakers are designed for loudness and bass, they are actually the type of speakers you find in nightclubs the group who did the installation, Definition, do Ministry Of Sound nightclub in London, as well as the Thorpe Park MoS nights. pluk and Styles
Styles
what funny about X if the light tower is off not music is not as loud , but its pretty cool how the lights go with the music. ONE of the best ride in the UK I have to say
pluk
Is it just me or should there be a lot more lights ... Yes, it is just you! There are far too many lights in there as it is, losing the point of it being a dark ride. It is sooo much better with the light tower off and just the lasers on. I could go for some small localised lighting effects though, like a tunnel, but nothing that leaks a load of light out into the pyramid. Ryan
Last day of the 2013 season, music turned right up, smoke on full blast and no lights (just lasers) was the best ride on X I've ever had. OldFarmerDean
EC!
That happened to me in July on the last ride of the day 1 laser on, no lights just thumping music in complete darkness!!! Bliss it was!

Kerfuffle
Shame Thorpe didn't get a Vekoma train with built in sound systems on the updated X tbh, as that would be better than tonnes of speakers dotted around... Oh well... Every coaster NEEDS onboard audio!
Coaster
Every coaster NEEDS onboard audio! No! Would just annoy me to be honest.
EC!
Tbh its fine as it is, there isn't anything wrong with it and I hardly think they will install the trains with speakers when they only were refurbed last year there would be no point at all. Benin
No! Would just annoy me to be honest. Any reason why? On-board would certainly be louder for riders, and not have volume lost in the echoey cavern of the pyramid... It's a half and half thing... Though a bassy train specifically designed music piece would improve X some more... Kerfuffle

c1hrisin
I swear the roller coasters have to be designed with the speakers on? I'm pretty sure 2 speakers in every seat and then the controllers and batteries would add some extra weight to the cars which may cause problems
