Mark9
It's a weird one really and would be dependant on the situation... As these single supports have to work harder to hold the ride up due to the minimalistic approach... Think it's just the way they went about it... If it was more solid, it would probably have more fatigue in the Fury case... A rather weird case is Fury... It probably had a full inspection back in the closed season of 2004-2005 when all the track from the first drop and immelman was replaced to determine whether more supports were needed for the lift hill which is where the major wobble is. dragon2000
Fury down for the day yesterday, anyone know what's up?
Cal
Fury is back open today
HermanTheGerman
Gone down again now, maybe because of the rain storm?
Benin
If it's chucking it down as bad as it is at home, then more than likely... Fury disagrees with rain immensely...
pluk
Long, very un-fury-y, re ride chat moved to its own topic. Do continue...
Coaster
Does anyone know if Dragon's Fury is still missing some of it's track? If so then they have got a lot of work to do in under two weeks!
SteveJ
It two days ago. It doesn't take so long to put it back up, even if it is being left rather late.
ashleyrose-66
I would have thought they will have it up and running for the AP days, especially as The Vampire will be closed?
Ian-S
Is this the rollercoaster that's next to the carousel? It looked complete when we were there Sunday but we were peeping through a tiny hole in the huge fence blocking that area of the park off, so I could be wrong. ashleyrose-66
Yes, it does run close to the Carousel. However the section that had been removed (and shown in a photo posted on here last month) would not have been visible from where you would have been peeking. ashleyrose-66
So it seems Fury will be closed this weekend. Along with Vampire and Bubbleworks. Well played Chessington. Just imagine what the queue will be like for Scorpion Express? Paul2014
Coaster
I just can't wait to read their Facebook and Twitter channels!
SteveJ
This is silly and actually a bit worrying.
Benin
Should it come to AP day with those 3 rides off the line-up, it'll be one of the biggest embarrassments from a Merlin park... And that DOES take a lot of doing... Paul2014 and Kerfuffle

ashleyrose-66
Having Safari Skyway open will feel like having a brand new ride though... Kerfuffle
Flipper
They must be having issues sorting out it's queue line, what with the new weighing scales and single rider queue... *walks away*
SteveJ
new weighing scalesI laughed a lot.
AstroDan
I don't understand why Fury wouldn't be ready. Spinball is quick at Alton Towers and runs in February with 5 cars (7 normally).
Project LC
Fury is having its tracked filled with sand to reduce noise. That would have slowed down its winter maintenance a lot.
SteveJ
And several other reasons why the track is down. They must have run into further problems which is concerning. Or maybe it's fine and there's nothing to worry about... hmm
HermanTheGerman
It depends on what it's down for. My guess would be that bad weather or lack of communication from Maurer meant that the maintenance was delayed with the track. So as a result they haven't quite finished working on the cars. Oh well, at least it's only AP day.

Cal
Could be that they haven't had enough time to train staff as well, like Vampire and Bubbleworks
