Benin
You mean like what Mack have been doing since 2009?
JoshC.
From Phantasialand... It looks...I don't know even. I don't like the look of that front, but I don't know what I was expecting really... pognoi and Kerfuffle
Matt 236
I like it, looks very different from what we've seen so far (yay for no OTSR's). Anyone know when this one is expected to open yet?
BenC
It looks...I don't know even. I don't like the look of that front, but I don't know what I was expecting really... It looks like Intamin have learned from their competitors - I don't think we could have asked for a better train. Clean, open-feeling, non-winged seating with lap bars. +20% hype for this ride now! But yes, weird fibreglass front is weird. If you look at it long enough it's a handlebar moustache. pognoi
Kerfuffle
The front of the train did remind me of a dragon horn. And then you have some rockwork that looks like a dragon head? Could be a nod to the potential theme maybe?
pognoi
Yeah it looks like a Dragons head, or a vikings helmet. I think this might be one of the best noses intamin have done though, I don't think I've seen one with so much... 3D ness by them? I mean it's not just a logo printed on a nose, and it does look quite intimidating. I agree it seems weird, but hopefully any story for the ride will clarify it's meaning! Mitchada04
On Phantafriends Hadn't thought about this. But it seems very likely, self duelling even if unintentional like Smiler? pognoi
JoshC.
Oooh, I hadn't thought about this either! I guess with the large amount of track squished into one space, self-duelling moments at some points are practically an inevitability. If they have planned it so that they can work in some awesome self-duelling moments, then that would be pretty spectacular! pognoi

JoshC.
Couple of photos of Raik, which is now complete, from the best Dutch website ever looopings.nl: The last photo shows the park removing some of the rockwork theming which was in way of Raik. Whilst there's no photos of it, the lift hill and end of the track have apparently been fully enclosed.
CharlieN
Here's a fuller view of the majority of the track, including the enclosed lift hill. You can also see how it will interact with Taron. https://instagram.com/p/BBpksVHR8GZ/ Kerfuffle and JoshC.
Matt 236
This is going to be one hell of a coaster! The junior boomerang also looks a decent ride which will compliment and support Taron well.

Tom
That's like saying X is homage to Space Station Zero, because both are/were inside and dark
JoshC.
There's several possible reasons for the enclosure of that piece of track. The main one of course being that River Quest is in the Mystery area, whereas Raik is in Klugheim, so they'd either have to retheme RQ or just enclose it and make it look mysterious (totally the wrong word to use but you get what I'm saying). And of course, with Phantasia having to minimise noise, it's only natural many of their rides are enclosed in one way or another. So any resemblance is more than likely coincidental given what they can do.
JoshC.
A nice graphic of Klughiem, made my Tobi over on PhantaFriends.de https://www.phantafriends.de/topic/377-neu-2016-themenbereich-klugheim-diskussion-2/?page=240 Just insane! Also gives us a look at Raik's layout (if you can make it out!).

TraX
Is there an opening date for this yet?
JoshC.
Is there an opening date for this yet? Nah; not even a month. Presumably not wanting to commit to anything yet after Chiapas' opening year problems. Given how things are progressing, I'm expecting it to open around May/June time tbh. Matt 236
With Taron & Raik opening [somepoint] this year, the big question will be what be happening next? Here's your answer Race for Atlantis is dead! The once iconic globe which had similarities to the Euro Mir & Epcot icon is disappearing from the park forever. What's replacing it, who knows. But I've heard Hollywood, Nighthawk and that strange underground ominmover ride are apparently on the chopping block.
Benin
Good riddance to bad rubbish I think is Phantasia's motto at the moment, which can only be a good thing... And as they've proven, they could have ANYTHING up their sleeves...
Mark9
Good. That thing was terrible. And the rides on the hit list. Perfect. All way past there best.. if they even had a best. JoshC. and BenC
JoshC.
Phantasialand have posted some lovely photos of Klugheim... Train clearance; looks tight! And some more images from phantafriends.de... Trains! Raik's lift / end of track is fully enclosed. River Quest has also seen some new theming, and in general a bit of love... (Photos from Phantasialand) Still no word - or even a rumours - of an opening date yet for Klugheim, but hopefully not too long left to go! I must say the area to looking a little barren at the moment, but I'm expecting that once the area is 'live', and there's people in the area, music playing, rides running, etc, it won't feel like it at all!
