Topsyturvy15
Looking at Dragon Falls now surely the rocks will be replaced. Dragon Falls is a great ride largely because of the theming and land its in and so Chessington wouldn't want the centerpiece of their attraction looking rubbish. As weve seen with the loggers tunnel these things get old and so hopefully its just taking them a while to replace it. Cant be that easy suddenly finding a bunch of fake rocks! Hopefully I'm right here ....
Zappomatic
The company that made the original faces and dragon tunnel (and incidentally a fair bit of stuff at Thorpe Park - some of it still there) are still in business, so there's hope yet! RideAddict
Rumour has it the Angkor Wat faces are in transit on their way to Thorpe's Loggers Leap.
Matt 236
Here's a quote posted by someone on Chessie's fb page. I see on Dragon Falls you've now lost the wonderful stone faces from either side of the drop, and rumour has it that the dragon tunnel is gone too. Combine this with the removal of the mountain range a few years ago and it's now a very bare and ugly ride! Do you plan to replace all of this? They've hit the nail on the head. However hearing about the tunnel going (like loggers) is very concerning.
Tom
Yeah it's gone. Not sure about the actual tin shed tunnel but the Dragon and rocks are gone.
RideAddict
I am beginning to wonder if the Mystic East is going to be rethemed to another land, and we haven't been told yet. #wonderingmindcwoa
SteveJ
Because theme parks always choose to close popular rides during the open season for random rethemes. Rumour has it Runaway MineTrain and Dragon River are going become part of Corrugated Metal World. Matt 236
Matt 236
Which will be another apocalyptic based theme as an excuse for merlin not to bother with theming upkeep. MattyMoo and alexander

MattyMoo
I can't believe the dragon has gone too! That's unbelievable... speechless at that.

pluk
I know there is always artistic licence and all, but I can see that advert being put up against ride footage on watchdog at some point this summer!
Matt 236
The advert is very compatible to the old Legoland's ones they used. Over hyped, americanised, fake and artificial.
alexander
They've removed the dragon as well? What the hell do they think they're playing at? I hope that they fully intend on replacing it. That Zufari advert is so misleading as well to the actual POV, I only saw the preview event video but guests are going to be left disappointed if they expect that when they go. Topsyturvy15
Really hope the tunnel stays, the bare wooded section ruins the Flume at Alton and if Chessington scrap all their theming the same issue could follow. Still think they'll sort it out though!
Adam P
We've been to chessington today to check out the area. The tunnel and the dragon are still in tact ! Just to add Zufari was great! Really impressed! Matt 236, SteveJ, Topsyturvy15 and 1 other
Mark9
You're almost forgiven Chessington.. almost..
RideAddict
Good old Peeking Heights for the views. Thank god the tunnel is still there Really unsure whether to head down tomorrow to check things out. Good Friday is usually packed I imagine, I never go, but the weather lately may take people elsewhere, leaving it very quiet there. The temperature is better now and slightly more bearable. Kingston is a back-up plan if it's too busy. Beats going home.
Benin
Eh, I wouldn't hold your breath JUST yet, as Runaway hasn't been touched yet and that's pretty much confirmed as being ripped apart... [/pessimism]
RideAddict
I'm gonna take a chance. Got nothing else planned. Even if Runaway was open, you wouldn't see me heading for it.
Adam P
We went today and it was really quite busy even though it was snowing, people didn't seem to be leaving at all. Sure with everyone now being off it will be packed tomorrow Vampire was only on one train today with 90 minute queue, just to let you know
Benin
Vampire was only on one train today with 90 minute queue, just to let you know Are they trying to make Fury's queue of BURDEN less burdenous by simply making Vampire god-awful? I miss 3 trains... I miss efficient people working on it... Sigh Han30
Topsyturvy15
Wow 90 mins in the snow! Did people tend to leave early or was it that bad all day?
Adam P
Nope, people didn't leave! The park was really quite busy
Matt 236
Vampires queue seems to be getting worse every year. They need that third train back badly.
