March 6, 200916 yr comment_46684 Well, if you look on the old map... You can see there is also no Imperial Leatherness.
March 6, 200916 yr comment_46685 I F A I L at being a good fanboy :PAnyways, I think this years map is an improvement on last years. Thumbs up from me.
March 7, 200916 yr comment_46813 I wouldn't get too excited, if you click here for the Transylvania area, you'll see it has Bubbleworks listed with Imperial Leather, and the logo. If you click the link there is a bit of info about the ride plus pictures from inside.I think Chessington have used plain text for the ride names on the map so it's easier for people to read.
March 7, 200916 yr comment_46825 Wheter there is an imperial leather bit on the map or not, the fact is that the contract with them does not run out til the end of this season the same as Beanolands contract. So the rubber ducks will be remaining with the Proffesor for another season at least.Quack Quack!!!!
March 8, 200916 yr comment_46984 The rubber ducks will be remaining with the Proffesor for another season at least? There has been no Professor since 2005!
March 17, 200916 yr comment_48866 I'm going to the preview day on Sunday and was just wondering will the Chessington bus from Kingston be running?
March 17, 200916 yr comment_48867 The 71 and 465 will be running. Getting to Kingston won't be the easiest thing ever though
March 17, 200916 yr comment_48884 I did not know there was a preview day.Can anyone turn up?. Which rides will be open, and what are the opening times. Maybe I can drag myself across there
March 17, 200916 yr comment_48886 Anyone with an annual pass can go, all rides should be open, and will be open from 11am - 5pm.
March 18, 200916 yr comment_49058 The 465 is the bus you would like to get from Kingston - Cromwell road bus station, it only takes 20 minutes to get into the park from there, the 71 route may take slightly longer. The park is open on Saturday for those with special tickets such as Marc. On Sunday annual pass holders will be allowed into the park, as the event is not widely advertised we are not expecting a huge gate figure so the queues should not be too long, its definitely worth coming down to have a look at all the changed that have been made over the closed season this year!
March 18, 200916 yr comment_49059 Noo, you don't want to get the 465 at the moment! There are road works on Hook Road, one side of the road is closed and there are temporary traffic lights which means you spend a good 15 minutes sitting in queues.
March 18, 200916 yr comment_49060 Noo, you don't want to get the 465 at the moment! There are road works on Hook Road, one side of the road is closed and there are temporary traffic lights which means you spend a good 15 minutes sitting in queues.Ah I didn't realize the other day, alternative travel shall be arranged for tomorrow now, thank you Alex If your traveling from Kingston, get a train from there to Raynes Park where you can change platforms and from platform 4 you can get a train to Chessington South.
March 19, 200916 yr comment_49195 The 71 goes all the way into the park, but the 465 kindof hangs around the outside when its going towards the park. I once accidently took one stop too many and ended up in a weird town...
March 20, 200916 yr comment_49326 was Boris the larger of the sealions?R.I.P. Boris Boris was indeed very large. This information was not meant to be released so early after the event and for others information this was not released by myself. Boris the Sealion fathered over 40 pups and has died aged 28. He died in the early hours of yesterday morning and shall be very much missed by the staff and guests at Chessington.
March 20, 200916 yr comment_49344 Just to lighten the mood.... there have been staff previews at the Pizza and Pasta restuarant, that replaced KFC and Pizza Hut.The interior is very fresh and warm, lots of plants and pictures of the animals from the Zoo. Staff were amazing, great service and just to mention, it was by far the best pizza I've ever eaten. Pasta was scrummy, too.Only downside was that I couldn't physically fit anything else in my belly!
March 20, 200916 yr comment_49346 Is the Pizza Pasta place a buffet or a normal restuarant? Also, is it quite expensive?
March 20, 200916 yr comment_49347 It's £7.95 for the all you can eat stuff. About the same as Thorpe's Pizza Hut.
March 20, 200916 yr comment_49348 It's £7.95 for the all you can eat stuff. About the same as Thorpe's Pizza Hut.That's not bad. Well I'm going on Sunday and we're bringing a picnic. My parents will check out the restaurants for future references.
March 21, 200916 yr comment_49392 Yeah, me too. I'm off BK for a while after my recent experience.I've had a flyer come through the post about a Chessington preivew day tomorrow (22nd). It has an address of Merlin Entertainments, Lexicon House, Midleton Road, Guildford GU2 8XP on it, in small writing. I knew of the Merlin in Chessington's Barwell Business Park, but Guildford?
March 22, 200916 yr comment_49599 They have offices in Malden Rushett - Silverglade used to be their main Studios base with Tussauds North being at Alton. Main offices are in Poole anyway - Barwell is nothing to do with Merlin as it is a BTSC College.
March 23, 200916 yr comment_49629 I miss Vampire Mcdonalds not a hug fan of Burger King.Same here, Mcdonalds is so much better. I miss the old days in the Mcdonalds when the guy used to play the organ while you ate
