Luke_A
Just not long got back from Chessington WoA, Had a great day, maximum queues were 80 mins for Dragon's fury and Vampire; Rattlesnake had 15 mins max and Kobra had 60 mins. Most smaller rides (e.g Griffins Galleon) were almost walk on's all day. (We did have a few Express passes between us).Ride Count:Dragon's Fury: 4Rattlesnake: 2Kobra: 2Runaway Train: 1Vampire: 2Tomb Blaster: 1Bubbleworks: 1Dragon Falls: 1Flying Jumbos: 1Griffins Galleon: 1Peeking Heights: 1Safari Skyway: 1Toadie's crazy cars: 1TOTAL RIDECOUNT: 19Vampire was having problems on one of the two operating trains today, the restraints would not release on one train when it came back into the station; because of this the platformers all had to manually undo them underneath each seat. Not sure if later in the day they took this train off and only operated on one.Kobra is not performing as well as it used to, it does not reach the top of both towers and the airtime over the bunny hill is not as good as it used to be, but oh well - it is still a great ride! A Great day at Chessington as always, the staff were amazing and can't wait to visit again!
Paul
maximum queues were 80 mins for Dragon's furyIt just shows you what difference a bad weather forecast makes to visitor numbers, Dragon's Fury was 30mins for the most part of yesterday. Luke_A
Yes, it was not too busy today, but it did rain a couple of times, once when I was on Kobra; was soaking when I got off. When I visited in the June School holidays this year, Vampire and Dragons Fury were both on 120 mins, Kobra not far behind that! (90 mins). A-Kid
Well going by my ride count yesturday (10am - 5pm day obv), I think I had a very good day! The park was the deadest I have ever seen. I had most things done 44mins into the first hour... Fury - 20Vampire - 8 (4 Front)Rattlesnake - 5Kobra - 4Monkey Swinger - 2Tut Tut - 1Lorikeets - 1Falls - 3Tomb - 1Rammy - 3Mine Train - 3Bucky - 354 Rides/Attractions. Nice to see little effects added around the park, like the smoke on the mine train boiler, that budda pond has a misting thing going on in the water and the dragon proper pumps out fog too. Its the first time I've ever heard the Falls dragon roar (with chimes after) in seaquence with boats too. Taken with phone so excuse the quality...http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/9054/photo708.jpghttp://img835.imageshack.us/img835/4866/photo709.jpgI now have many bruses and ache a lot. But it was worth it.

MattyMoo
Went to Chessington yesterday for the Wii Party - we had won 4 free tickets! All in all was a good day, the park was pretty darn busy, haven't been to CWoA when it's been busy for ages (last time I went was on a Thursday in May for my birthday, was so so dead!)Longest queue times I witnessed were:Vampire - 90 minsDragons Fury - 60 minsToytown Truckers - 50 mins (I sh** you not!)Flying Jumbos - 50 mins (again, I sh** you not!)Dragon Falls - 60 minsRattlesnake - 30 minsRamases Revenge - 5 minsToadies Crazy Cars - 20 minsSeastorm - 20 minsBubbleworks - 45 minsKobra - 60 minsBlack Buccaneer - 20 minsSafari Skyway - 30 minsI could not believe the queue times for the kid's rides! Park was looking good though I must say, always well presented. Anyone know why the cut through by the Vampire is blocked off? It's just a dead end at the moment. There was some downtime for a number of rides though - Dragons Fury went down around 4pm (but did reopen after 5), Tomb Blaster was down all day I think (at least, it was from 11am), Ramases went down mid-afternoon, Kobra went down early afternoon and reopened, Dragon Falls was down from 3pm too.... however, the park did stay open till 6 instead of the advertised time of 5pm, which was good of them!I managed to get on Rattlesnake, Ramases Revenge, Bubbleworks, Tuk Tuk Turmoil... and that was it! We just didn't want to queue 60mins to be honest, and as I say, were free tickets so we weren't majorly fussed! We went to feed the Lorikeets, but they'd had too much to eat all day - so our £1 honey was a waste of time, sigh!! There were Wii stations dotted about the park to play on, and the concert in the evening was very well organised - access was through the back past the lorikeets. They closed Wild Asia early at 3:30pm to allow for the concert. That South Car Park was a bit of a mudbath though Had a peek in the Holiday Inn whilst waiting for my mates to turn up, very swish indeed! The new Savannah experience is very well presented, but all the animals were inside at 4pm! So yes, to conclude - was a good day (because it was free entry!) Park looking good, staff were good (other than a chap on admissions who put us in the wrong queue, but that may have been misinformation on Nintendo's part!) - was pretty busy, but enjoyed it! Had lunch at Refresh cos we're healthy like that!
MattyMoo
Oh and I forgot to say - the Elephant/tree in Wild Asia was absolutely legendary yesterday, so so funny!
JoshC.
I think the area by Vampire you mentioned is closed off due to Hocus Pocus preparations. ;)And yes, Bayun Maximus is amazing!
Benin
You evidently haven't been enough to Chessie to be shocked by 50 minute queues on Jumbos and Trucks when the other queues are like that...Hell, I remember once when Trucks' queue decided to go across the pathway to the soldier... That was a terrifying moment...
thorpeparkjack
Sounds like Chessie was busier than Thorpe yesterday!
Ryan
I had a really good day yesterday! Park was the busiest I think I've ever seen it, couldn't be bothered with queues so ended up just queuing 10 mins for Griffins Galleon <3The Wii Party (concert) was epic! Jedward are so fun to see live, don't hate them until you've seen them properly Wii Party game looks great fun, I seriously recommend getting it if you have a group of people coming round soon and even for family fun.Best part of the night: The huuuuuuuge inflatable Mr Stay Puft when Jedward were performing Ghostbusters was amazing ;)http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/2724/sam1347.jpghttp://img820.imageshack.us/img820/3774/sam1351.jpghttp://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7080/sam1356.jpghttp://img269.imageshack.us/img269/2507/sam1368.jpghttp://img99.imageshack.us/img99/5383/sam1380.jpghttp://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5786/sam1391.jpghttp://img137.imageshack.us/img137/7965/sam1402.jpghttp://img547.imageshack.us/img547/3376/sam1417.jpghttp://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3331/sam1422.jpghttp://img840.imageshack.us/img840/8054/sam1430f.jpghttp://img809.imageshack.us/img809/8809/sam1435.jpgI did put them as proper pics, but they were huuuuuge! MattyMoo
Agree 100% with Ryan, we were with two mates who hate Jedward, but I caught them bopping to All The Small Things - was a real laugh Very well organised as I say too, on the whole! I shall put up some videos on to Facebook this evening of Jedward, should anyone be interested The Mr Stay Puft was epic too! ;)I don't normally dabble with TP or CWoA on peak days, so have never witness queues like that for such small rides (although I guess it's all about target audience!) Past the solider for Truckers? Ouch! I do like Ramases having such a short queue though! We love Bayun Maximus - "You've got a very excited face, where have you come from today?" "Portsmouth" "Oh, Portsmouth, that sounds exotic!" And some kid asked "Who's your favourite out of idiot & Dom?" (who were presenting Wii Party) "I'll say Dom because saying the other one out loud is very rude" :PWe chatted to Bayun a couple of times, one of our highlights haha. And we're all in our mid-late 20s....!!
MattyMoo
Oh and I'm off to Thorpe Park tomorrow for a non-Fright Night should be-completely-empty-day! Fingers crossed that cruel Mistress, Stealth behaves herself. Doesn't look like I'll get to ride my beloved Slammer either!

noob230
I went to Chessington on Saturday with 3 friends for a birthday party.Unfortunately we didnt have tickets to the concert but it was still a good day. We got there at 9:15 for a 10 o'clock opening. They let us in at 9:30 but only for the zoo are, so we went to creepy caves. This was OK but a few enclosures were empty for new creatures next year. We then waited by the gate by Transylvania until the member of staff let us in at 9:45. We ran to vampire and had an awesome ride with the sound effects in the 'tunnel' on. After that we went on Bubbleworks and were the first people to go on it (or so the woman told us). After that we headed to Wild Asia for the Monkey Swinger on which we got soaked and then walked to Dragon Falls for another soaking. We queued 5 minutes and then were allowed a second go without leaving the boat.We then went to Dragons Fury which had a 30 minute queue. Went to Rattlesnake which was walk-on then to Runaway Train where we queued for 15 minutes. There was a boy at the front who had turned eleven (I think) who got congratulated by the operator, then when one of my friends shouted that it was my other friends birthday too, he acted though he didnt care which was quite funny! Then to Ramases Revenge where we sat at the end (as we had dried) and then we had lunch at Fried Chicken Co.I really liked it there! We walked up to Tomb Blaster where we were told it was suffering from technical difficulties. It remained closed all day. After that - Sealife and Hocus Pocus Hall.We headed to Black Buccaneer. The rule where an adult has to sit at the end has been changed to 16 or over. As it was my friends sixteenth birthday she got to go on it 2 times! When we got to the front we told her to save the back row, which we shouldnt really do. After that we headed to Berry Bouncers. This annoyed me. I was dragged into a queue of 30 minutes then when we got on it, all 4 of us had a pod to ourselves. The only problem was that it was too heavy so after it had crawled to the top, we slowly sank to the bottom again. 40 MINUTES WASTED.As we had 10 minutes left, I suggested we should go on Griffons Galleon. At first they were reluctant but when I told them they owed me, we went there.Great Ride! Its annoying that everyone misses it due to its position. Went on it twice until 5 which is when the park would have closed. However, the ride op said that the park was staying open till 6 due to Tomb, Kobra, Fury and Falls breaking down for long periods. At that point, Fury started testing. We had a conversation with the operator, Nick Cooke, which lasted 20 minutes! After we said goodbye we headed to Dragons Fury which had just opened. We queued 10 minutes, rode it, then went home.It was a good day altogether!(You are very lucky if you managed to read all of that!!)

Benin
Berries is a pointless ride... Wouldn't waste 5 minutes on it let alone 40...Should've ridden Griffins more...
