mah boi
They might have put the beginning section of the lift hill up when that guy left. Photos today from Theme UK. When you look closely in the middle of one of the pics, you can see track has been put in. http://www.themeuk.net/LC12_Thorpe_ParkPG1.html Coaster XTREME
Sidders
The steel building construction isn't the station; it's the maintenance shed. Judging by whereabouts the station will be in concordance with the location of the maintenance shed, I'd go so far as to say that the piece of track (considering that's what it is, and it's been placed) is a piece of section track ready and in place. But then again, without the station's vertical construction, why would much of the track be put up? Surely they'd wait?
Benin
Surely station framework will be built first before the track? Also, I was gonna ask if they were going to try and hide the maintenance shed like Raptor does (in fact, the queue goes on top of it) but looking at that pic, they won't... Hopefully they'll theme it to make it fit in...
mah boi
In another pic, you can see the track, but not so clearly. Look carefully.
Mark9
Love these pictures of trees and small grey objects in the background by the way. Tom, Coaster XTREME and mbizzle
AdamY
Interesting to note in that cross-site picture that all the lift hill footers are done and ready to accept supports. Still an annoying number stacked at the side though.
Tom
Went today and couldn't see this alleged track piece, but sure!
Luke_A
A clearer view of the station track was taken by Theme Park Guide today, as well as some other images of construction, nearly all footers are thought to have been put in as well. Yay for vertical construction pics, it might just be station track, but it's going up! Coaster XTREME, mbizzle and Ryan

javs
Finally, it may be a little blurry, but here we have the first clear picture of installed track (not including the service track!)I expect by the Saturday, we should have either a good portion of the lift hill in place, or if we are going backwards, hopefully up to the in-line twist! So exciting seeing The Swarm emerging out of the mud!!!

pluk
Probably dumb ass question time, but what is that cottagey looking building with a massively steep pitched roof in the background?

javs
Mark my words, 6 weeks and this baby will be up and towering over TP. Construction of the steel will be fairly quick, but the theming and landscaping is going to take much longer!
uk30
I've got to say it is slow but they are clearly waiting till Fright Nights - to make it more of a story for The Swarm; post it on the web and hype it up. I can see it now: "100 people go missing from Fright Nights!", and they post the missing individuals on the "Missing Wall" from The Swarm Mini-Site.And another thing - how come Mania Hub updates are a lot slower then the other sites of late? They have pictures. We seem to be getting more updates from other sites than we do Mania Hub. Edited September 27, 2011 by Sidders Edited for spelling, punctuation, grammar and clarity. Coaster XTREME
Well according to Theme Park Guide supports and track will be erected this week and they will be testing The Swarm in January. So it's not like we have that long to wait until the swarm will be built, yes it is taking bloody ages to get the thing built but if track really is going up this week we should be more patient. Sidders
Theme Park Guide are quoted for saying: "Well not much has happened since we last went to the park apart from the fact that all of the footers for the ride have now ALL been done"Yet below that post, they have a collection of pictures, three of which show large piles of the concrete shells; the footers, as they have been for the past two months. Suffice to say much information from them isn't very reliable. The track will go up when it goes up. I'd rather they take longer over themeing and landscaping elements if I'm honest. Fred
I've had the privelidge to see a few bits of the theming... namely two airplane propellas... and a broken fire engine. To say they're amazing, is an understatement.
