Bubbles1
the problem with this though, is that the only flammable thing on a fire truck is the fuel, which would not burst up into a fireball every two minutes.still, YAY FIRE!!! JAMMYD777
According to a member over at Towerstimes 'Chaz', adverts for The Swarm have hit the cinemas. Also, really looking forward to the effects that we should be seeing. Sidders
Did this member speak of what the advert was? The Swarm's scream one? I reckon that'd sound amazing in a cinema.
JAMMYD777
The post was: A little bit of news...Whilst waiting to watch the abysmal film that is 'The Woman In Black' the normal 'Pearl & Dean' advert started playing. This then wavers and statics and morphs into a THE SWARM advert. It has many shots of the train hurtling around the track with the fire-like filter on top. Many post-editing screams added on to.I hope this isn't the final advert as compared to everything the park has given us so far this was naff. But still, nice to see 'WAR IS COMING' on the big screen. All credit goes to 'Chaz'

Stokesyboy
I went to see Ghost Rider last night but there was no Swarm advert
tomathy
Saw the Woman in Black today but there was no advert either, I'm quite disappointed with my trip to the cinema now
Drawin
I'm going cinema's on Wednesday to see 'The Artist', as I'll keep my camera ready and video it if it comes on. (hopefully I won't be charged for recording the movie. XD)
Ben1990
They probably wouldn't show an advert for Thorpe Park/The Swarm before 'The Artist,' it wouldn't make sense. Just in the same way you wouldn't expect to see a Durex advert during Countdown UnderItAll and Drawin
thorpeparkjack
Surely TV adverts will start in the next week or so?
Geo
I was just watching a few on ride videos, and the track looks in reaching distance of the longer armed passengers. Although I find this hard to believe as I can imagine the amount of testing that has gone into this. Thought I'd post it anyway EDIT: Still trying to work out whether the restraints let you fully extend your arm.
Sidders
If, when riding it, you manage to grab a good feel of those Urethane wheels, let us know how it goes for you, won't you? ;)Honestly, I have no doubt B&M have taken this into account - no-one's lost a hand on Raptor and it's the same model, with the same track guards. thorpeparkjack
I doubt the population of Garda are as mindless as that of Staines? Leaky
Sidders
I still have no doubt in that B&M's design is safe. Is there really an argument there or is it just any excuse to poke fun at Thorpe's clientèle?
Benin
It would be a bit dumb if B&M had such a flaw...The answer is of course, no, the angle in the photo is the issue here, making it seem like less material than the actually is... Let's not be so silly as to think that people would be able to touch the track whilst on the ride, any good design team will have sorted that first and foremost... javs
If you could lean forward then I would agree with you, but you can't when the restraint is down. So unless you can bend your arm between your elbow and your wrist, you are not going to get your hand anywhere near the track.
Sidders
Pot calling kettle black. At least I had an argument when I did it.
Bubbles1
I would doubt that happening, B&M have done many tests to check on safety. If it was built by intamin, however...
JoshC.
Simply put, you won't be able to touch the wheels or the track. Sidders
TN Jonny
FAST TRACK 5 pounds or 6 pounds for front seats bit expensive but I can tell people will buy it saw the ride sold loads of fast track when it opened.
Saz
Do people think that fastrack for Swarm will be available on opening day? I only have a two hour window when I can ride it you see, so fastrack might be needed if the queue is approaching the ridiculous I.e. 3 hours.... I say that because as long as it opens on time and has both trains going, I'd say a maximum of an hour wait.. if that.

I did think that a queue over 2 hours on opening day might be just be a tad too long. Let's just hope there will be no major technical glitches on the day, but the fact that it's B&M gives me a great deal of confidence. TN Jonny
Thorpe park app has been updated The swarm has now been added to the rides list theres info about the ride and confirmation on fast track prices

I say that because as long as it opens on time and has both trains going, I'd say a maximum of an hour wait.. if that.If the opening day for Saw is anything to go by I am almost certain the queue will go beyond 2 hours, I remember befor Saw's opening day everyone on these fourms said the line should not be any longer then an hour yet it went up to about 3 hours or something ridiculous and that was befor it started to break down and close. If you want my advice id say get there early as I am almost certain you will have to wait at least two hours to get a ride on opening day.
