Scare season has well and truly begun here in the UK; theme parks have embraced the Halloween spirit, scare parks have opened, and YouTube and social media are filled with nothing but scare event vlogs and reports. Two popular UK events, based at two of the UK’s most popular theme parks, are Alton Towers Scarefest and Thorpe Park Fright Nights. These events are similar in some ways and different in others, but they are often compared due to them both being based at Merlin theme parks. So I’d be keen to know; which event do you prefer? Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife park... It really isn't usually a noteworthy place at all with 0 creds, and no actual rides (it's located between Bristol and Bath)... But there's recently been a cool Segway company based there and they took us through a maize maze on the segways which was amazing! Pasaje Del Terror is a Horror maze franchise which started back in 1988. there are many in Europe and South America. there is one in the UK at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and there used to be one in London at Piccadilly. There used to be one in the USA called Terror on Church Street. the original creator of Pasaje was a man named Fernando Quenard and the very first Pasaje was located in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The Thompsons bought the Pasaje franchise in around 1993-1998 and has been running for about 20 years now(the Blackpool attraction). the Pasaje usually lasts about 10-15 minutes and has many famous horror movie characters which try to scare you during the journey. it…

Yes - finally, York has something worth going for (apart from its culture, it's beautiful city, it's railway and museum, it's Jorvic viking centre, it's Minster and it's Park & Ride systems).. It is.. the CHOCOLATE MUSEUM. Unfortunately, I am **** and do not provide photos. But seriously, in all seriousness, it's ace. It's like cadbury world, but about a billion times better (it helps that it wasn't opened in 1992). Carters Steam Fair is the most wonderful travelling vintage fair. It's set up in Maldon today, if you find yourself nearby I thoroughly recommend you go. The rides might be ancient and powered by steam, but don't let that fool you! The Steam Boats are probably the most genuinely dangerous (and therefore properly thrilling) ride operating in the UK, they are incredible. Unfortunately the Divebomber and Giant Octopus aren't touring this year, I'm really going to miss them. Today I saw a really old video in physics about mechanics that was set in Alton Towers! The presenter was Carol Vordemane and the film contained corkscrew (new at the time), the Beast, chairoplanes and some spinning ride. There was also a log flume from Wickstead park! It looked pretty dated, anyone seen this or got any idea about when it was?

Today Blackpool Council announced £300 million plans to develop the site of the old Central Railway Station into a new entertainment attraction, scheduled to open in 2024. I was wondering if anyone here had been to Paradise Wildlife Park. Its a nice little well themed zoo in Broxbourne with a train ride (used to be Thomas, not anymore) around dinosaurs and real wolves and foxes, as well as some nice little play areas. It has lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, all that sort of stuff then it has goats, pigs, sheep, rams, it also has birds bats and it has the World Speedway Museum (FIM Speedway, Google it if you dont already know it, it's a great sport). Hi guys. In recent days, Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, has opened at Thorpe Park. It’s only been open for a few days thus far, but a lot of people who’ve ridden it (although admittedly not everybody) are already declaring it their top UK coaster. With this in mind, I’d be interested to know; is Hyperia your top UK coaster, if you’ve ridden? Has it finally knocked Nemesis off its top spot? Or if Nemesis wasn’t your top UK coaster before, has Hyperia usurped whatever you previously had on top? Or did it not quite reach the mark for you? Is it true that this closed season Chessington is receiving the most refurbishments ever. By this I mean the biggest overhaul refurbishment undertaken during closed season.I’ve heard they’ll be no rides open in February due to the major refurbishments. I wonder if any Rides will receive rethemes or be removed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Scorpion Express is removed. This ageing Chessington classic was becoming more unreliable each season. Hi does anyone know what’s happened to Cliffhanger now it’s departed Blackgang Chine? I hope it has been bought by my local Theme Park Camel Creek in Cornwall. Camel Creek’s signature Rollercoaster has been incredibly unreliable and will likely be scrapped. Cliffhanger would be a great replacement. I wouldn’t be surprised if the replacement for Cliffhanger is Enterprise from Alton Towers,Spinball Wizzer from Alton Towers,Rocky Express from Thorpe Park,Apocalypse from Drayton Manor or Floom Of Doom from Funland Hayling Island. I couldn’t find a thread for Coney Beach, so I’ve started one. Not sure how many people have even been to Coney Beach here, but it’s somewhere I’ve been quite a few times since I was little and they have my favourite KMG Afterburner I’ve ever been on: Beach Party! I started this thread because I noticed that Beach Party looks to be up for sale online *cries* (so if anyone wants to buy it for me, I’ll give you free rides on it in my garden ) Jokes aside - if Beach Party really does leave Coney Beach, I will be so sad!
