So my annual trip to Alton Towers occured over the Diamond Jubilee and for the first time in 5 years we visited Warwick Castle and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We set of Saturday morning to the hotel when my dad surprised us with a visit to Warwick Castle. It's such a great place. Every staff member is in costume which just makes the place so unique (for Merlin anyway). As we only had 3 hours to spend there we passed on the Castle Dungeon and Merlin Tower thing and headed straight for the birds of prey show whci were all eagles. It was a great show and they really make the eagles fly low over your heads which makes everyone duck and dive. We were told that one of the eagles …

Trip report of Six Flags New England 14/10/12 I knew I was going to the park for ages and ages and despite arranging to meet up with someone, people fail at organising themselves and all that so at the last minute my dad said he'd be happy to take me! Whatever, I'm going to Six Flags so I'm happy! Park was advertised as open from 12-9 so I arrived at 12ish, greeted with a cheeky $20 parking fee the day wasn't looking very promising. Having visited Six Flags Elitch Gardens as a child and Six Flags Magic Mountain in a previous post-summer time to find horrific ride reliability, poor theming, incredibly slow operations, and Thorpe Park standard rudeness from employees et…

Back in late October I embarked on an Epic Halloween trip taking in 7 parks in 7 days, these were Legoland, Thorpe, Chessie, Plopsaland, Bobbejaanland, Walibi Belgium & Belleawarde. This is just taken wholey off Coaster Force as I cannot be bothered to re-do it!Day 1: LegolandHighlights: The fireworks Dragon in the dark CF'ers =D Lowlights: Jungle Coaster, its now ruined! Day started off with me awaiting for Jordan to arrive as there were people stuck in traffic. Once we got in, we met up with the others and took on the boating school's 30minute wait!!!!!!!! There was lots of little antics throughout the day! Rapids were a big shock how violent they were! Fireworks jus…

Hope this is the right place, it is kind of a report on a trip :)So anyway, yesterday I was still feeling a bit ill and was really bored so I hopped on the train with my camera and spent the day going around the City of London. I went to a load of places I've never been before, such as the Gherkin, Lloyds building, Bank of England, and some more familiar places like Tower Bridge and St Pauls. It's the first time I've really used my new lens I got a while back in low light so don't expect too much but hopefully some of these have turned out okay. Resizing has reduced the quality in some of them but if anyone wants to see originals I'd be happy t PM or whatever. I'll stop t…

Oakwood is a park that I really enjoy, but always feel frustrated at in some way or another. This year it had much improved operations and staff wise, but some of the same problems were still there (although this didn't ruin our enjoyment too much). Megafobia was running brilliantly this year, and due to their After Dark event we got some rides on it in the dark! It was running well all day, but in the dark with rain at the end of the day (it runs faster at the end of the day) it was flying round the track! The staff running Megafobia were brilliant. It was only running one train, but dispatch times were very fast and the staff were really friendly, talking through t…

PARK OPEN:10am - 6pm RIDES CLOSED: Voodoo Having never visited Flamingo Land before, I was looking forward to getting to a new park and wasn't sure what to expect. We arrived at 9:30am and bought our tickets with no queueing, after which we entered the park to find that Cliffhanger was already open! On the way over we noticed that Mumbo Jumbo was also open, despite there still being 20 minutes until the opening time, so we did that followed by Cliffhanger - a very good start to the day. The park is set out fairly well with some nice theming in places, however some of it could do with some TLC, for example Kumali's entrance sign. …

(Sorry about my lengthy Trip Report just as it was my first meet I thought I would do a special one for the occasion, also I apologise if it is not the best TR, it is my first one ) On Sunday the 21st April 2013 there was a lingering sense of excitement as me and my parents were driving 50 miles to the place that is called, Chessington. As I got out of the car all I heard from the direction of the entrance was Peaj’s voice, it was like a beacon calling out. The first thing that I did as soon as the gates opened was to walk through the cattle-pen to collect my first ever MAP, as soon as I had that I was on my way to the meeting point of Hocus Pocus halls, as it was my …

PARK OPEN: 11am - 8pm RIDES CLOSED: None! Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is a good amusement park, it takes advantage of walking trade with ride tokens as well as wristbands, and the 8pm close was good. It's worth noting that it poured down with rain from 1pm - 5pm which cleared out the park, but despite it being absolutely dead in the afternoon, they still stayed open until 8pm rather than closing early - BPB take note! Obviously the park isn't full of high quality theme park attractions, but it's an amusement park and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The atmosphere is fantastic with music playing on several of the attractions and the park b…

Hey guys, new here, I had a trip down to Adventure Island yesterday and I wanted to post a little Trip Report Park Open: 11am Park Close: 10pm Rides Closed: None I got to the park at about 12pm and left at 10pm (closing time on this day), first thing I noticed the park was really busy (of course it would be) but the rides queues were really short, shorter than expected. I hadn't been down here in about 4 years so it was nice to see the park still having short queues. First ride of the day was Rage, it was running 2 trains (3rd was having its wheels replaced but later was put on and had people loaded on it within about 2 test runs) Great operations I mu…

My family and I are considering doing a trip to Cedar Point and Canada (maybe Canada’s wonderland if I can convince them to go). The intention is to spend 2 days at cedar point, stay in the Hotel Breakers, get fast lane plus for both days and a maybe sunrise tour on one of the days then spend some time in Canada. There’s just a few things I want to know about: What’s the chance of Cedar Point getting a new large scale coaster in 2020 considering it’ll be their 150th anniversary?/Is it worth waiting till 2020 to go as opposed to 2019? When in the summer (between late July and the end of August) is the weather going to be ideal so that th…

First time back at Legoland in a long time. It looks a lot different to what I remember. We left home after the park opened because we're all lazy buggers. KP crisps are doing 50% vouchers so if your planning on going to Merlin attractions soon and paying have a looksie. So off we went, went and got Callum's ticket. The guy at the admissions desk we went to was brilliant. In terms of busyness it was barely any one. Got in to the park, one thing I don't miss is the bloody hills. The one leading down to Viking Land you literally turn a corner and I almost fell down it went that steep. So off we went onto Viking River Splash. For the landscape that it's on they've done well t…

I went to Walygator Parc the other day. I've heard awful things about the place. Truly awful. Whether its the closed down rides, the chipped paint, the queues, the roughness of the rollercoasters, Walygator has it all. I thought it was okay. To get there, we stayed in Luxembourg city and travelled down by train which takes about 45 minutes. (OFF WE GO TO FRANCE'S PREMIER ALLIGATOR THEMED THEME PARK) Our first port of call was Monster, the B&M inverter that originated in Expoland, Japan in 1996 and moved to France in 2010 after Expoland closed down. Now, unlike every other B&M inverter in Europe, Monster has no theming whatsoever. It is…

Hi Guys, Today I visited Six flags great adventure in jackson, New Jersey (22 August 2012). We arrived at the park thinking that well that it's the end of the summer holidays and that it should be pretty quiet like the time I visited six flags magic mountain at the same time last year. But it was packed, so I decided to go and buy a platinum fast pass which cost me $120 which wasn't bad. With the platinum flash pass the wait time is cut by 90% which means you kinda get straight on which was great, you also receive a wristband which you show to the dispatch team on the ride to ride a second time without queueing again, this was a great idea. I really loved six flag's fas…

After saving up our Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for a long time, we used them up on some Merlin passes. The plan was was 3 fold. 1: Over the period of a week, during the summer holidays; Journey up to Warwick to visit Warwick Castle and then Alton Towers, the next day. (Hotel in Solihull as base.) Part 2 was to journey south to Kettering and meet my folks at Wicksteed Park, a park I used to frequent as a kid and one that I have lots of memories of. Part 3 was to carry on south to the inlaws in Essex and use that as a base for Thorpe Park and Chessington. A busy week but one that I was hugely looking forward to.....So, on to our first park/attraction then - Warwick Castle…

The swarm effects are finally working as the LED'S on the trains are on and the fire effect is working. I don't have many pics as my camera died. And for the eagle eyed people LCXII on the toilets is the project name for the swarm. The ride DVD's are now available although not for the front row.

Initially I was against writing a trip report on Disney World. I've done two previously and sparked the odd debate on the quality of Disney and Universal. Nonetheless, with a month now passed, I think I can be objective on the trip enough to do a write-up. So here goes. Since my last trip in 2012 a lot has changed. Not only has WDW seen a lot removed ( and a few things added), I've also been to many other parks including four trips to Paris and a trip to California. I think it's fair to say that Chris and I were both a tad concerned that the amazing memories we'd gathered of our previous visits would be dashed. Suffice to say, thankfully that wasn't the case. So first…
