Hi as Old Town has closed,I would like to know what people think should happen to Rocky and what is actually happening with it. I have heard that Rocky has been sold if this is true I think a small Theme Park like Camel Creek should purchase it. Please post your theories, opinions and any rumours you have heard here.

Hi guys. Thorpe Park has 7 different roller coasters which are arguably a big part of what makes the park what it is today, but surprisingly, we don't appear to have a topic ranking them and discussing our favourites, so I thought I'd make one! With that in mind, my simple question to you this evening is; how would you rank Thorpe Park's coasters? Which is your favourite? I'll get the ball rolling with my list (the bold bit after each comment is my rating out of 10 compared to the other coasters I've ridden, as well as the ride's ranking within my overall count): Nemesis Inferno - This never used to be top, but I've got to say that it's grown on me a f…

For a long time I have commented on how different people are, physically, emotionally, interests and hobbies. I knew that a sister of mine was not interested in rides, roller coasters or flat, and she often wondered about my mental state. However, I did not expect that having shown her a video of Stealth, she would have to dash to the bathroom for a digestive evacuation! at least I know she will never be in my way at a theme park.

So we all know us curvy women have extra lumps and bumps that the seats aren’t so accommodating for, that’s no surprise! That in mind I thought a general discussion thread of size would be fair. I was thinking of a quick fire answers of size (measurement if you’re brave), which rides you did and did not fit on and any tips? No shaming, no nasty comments and just great general chubby gal advice! I’ll go first! Size 16 top, 18 on bottoms and fit on all the rides/test seats! I carry my weight mainly on my lower half FYI. My tip is tipping forward in your seat to try and squish your bum back and in your seat!

Seriously! Back in 2008 when I first visited the park was arguably the most exciting park in the UK due to amazing investments the park was installing each year! Now every new attraction is either a maze or “experience” and the fact they turned their only “good” family coaster into a horror themed attraction is just ridiculous! Why don’t they add any new coasters or flat rides? It’s becoming such a bore! The last decent addition was in 2012! The 2nd hand kiddie rides they’ve added to old town don’t even blend into the area they stick out like sore thumbs with their colourful colour scenes and old “theming” Why have they…

Does anyone else have these random things in life that just make you think of Thorpe Park? For me, it's these things every time! Dr Pepper I've never been a big fizzy drinks fan, but ever since they used to give out free Dr Pepper at Sun Scream, the taste of it always takes me back to Thorpe Park around 2009ish era! Dolly Parton Every time I hear Dolly Parton I am taken back to Loggers Leap's queue! Water fountains There's a particular smell that seems to come from water fountains in shopping malls - maybe they use the same type of cleaner/chlorine, but the smell always reminds me of Tidal Wave! Ar…

Thorpe is full of hidden secrets and Easter eggs, and the internet is full of videos and websites listing them (this is one of the better ones). I used to consider myself a bit of an expert on Thorpe Park - I knew every little detail, in ever corner of the island, but my attendance dropped a little in recent years and now I'm not sure I'm quite the nerd I once was! I learned of a few new ones from that article! I thought It'd be interesting to hear if you know of any little-known hidden details (Easter eggs) at Thorpe Park? My favourite one is probably the high water line on the KFC building from the tidal wave!

With the mixed reviews Fright Nights have received this year, I thought it might be interesting to hear what you'd change about the event if you were given the task by the park. I'm not talking about wild aspirations here - no Halloween themed RMCs built for FN '22 please! 😂 Imagine you're in Thorpe's position, and this is your brief: You have a limited budget (same budget as 2021) to deliver Fright Nights 2022 There must be "something new and unique" that can be marketed by the park There's limited resources to get this done - imagine how this is in reality, a small team to deliver the event What would your realist…

Why were large security guards at Thorpe Park last night beating up young black boys and girls when they were not doing anything wrong. Then they put them in handcuffs when they had not committed any crimes . Security would NOT provide any details about themselves to the public.

It's that time of year again! Tonight is the Press Night for Fright Nights, and so I fully expect some spoilers to start floating around social media from later this evening. From now on, please post anything spoiler related here. The non-spoiler thread will remain open and available. Also, of course, everyone's favourite Thorpe Park fansite will be there and posting updates throughout the afternoon and evening. Make sure to check us out on Facebook and Twitter in particular! On a final note, here is the entrance feature to Trailers, from Jack Silkstone...

Good evening, I wonder if it would be at all possible to give my brand new music video Chasing shadows (The fairground song) a share which features loads of Thorpe Park rides! Would be extremely grateful as I've been told it has potential. Much appreciated, Larry. 😊https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5klRo21yFY

Hey guys, I don't know about you, but I am fed up of seeing all the negativity out there about Thorpe Park. Sure, it's far from perfect, but this is the Thorpe fan site - If you're reading this forum, you must love the place to some extent? So why not share why?! Let's bring back some of the glassy eyed excitement we all used to feel when using these forums Please let us all know what are your 3 favourite things about Thorpe Park. Why do you love the place? I'll start. My favourite things about Thorpe are The atmosphere. I don't know what it is about Thorpe, but it has a certain atmosphere that you don't get anywhere …

Simple topic really, just for updates and that over the closed season. (By the way, mods, can this be put in the General Thorpe Park Section? )Not much I can say really, and unfortunately I don't have any pictures, but there's a chance of some in the nest few days from me. Vertical construction of Storm Surge is not visible from outside the park yet. The majority of the slide is still in the staff car park, however, the lift hill section has been moved (whether it's just been moved out of site, or somewhere slightly more productive I dunno. Rush's swigs haven't been taken off (which is different to previous seasons I believe?) and Slammer doesn't have any scaffolding…

May as well have a thread for this. IMA Score have done a version of the main theme: I believe this is the first time the park and IMA Score have worked together since 2017. There's also an overlay of Rumba Rapids, going to "Oompah Rapids", which has music not done by IMA Score... More event details should hopefully follow, since it starts a week tomorrow...

Just had a fantastic super evening at Thorpe Park. Select number of people meant little or no queuing, fun fun fun. Personally Thorpe park should have more days, events like this. I wouldn't mind paying extra. Probably the best 3 hours I have ever had in a theme park.

I am lucky, I only live about five miles from TP. I often meet people who have travelled hundreds of miles, but yesterday, I met a young girl who lives in Ealing, West London. She doesn't have a lot of money, therefore does not bring a car needing to pay the car park fee. She rides her bicycle, starting off about 8.30 a.m. to cover the eleven miles through the streets of west London. Me switching the car engine on is hard enough for me.

Hello guys, Been a regular of the forums for many years but decided to ask the burning question this morning... just what has happened to the park? Thorpe Park a few years ago was arguably the best park in the UK, it was going from strength to strength in terms of investments and then all of sudden we get IACGMOOH, bouncezilla, the year of the walking dead etc They even pulled The Big Top off the Fright Nights bill which from what I understand was a favourite by many I assume 2020 will be just as poor in regards to the parks line up / investments as no planning has been put through for a coaster or even a new flat ride...…

Anyone else getting withdrawal symptoms or is it just me? It isn't even so much the roller coasters and rides I miss as a whole; but the theme tune as you arrive and walk down the bridge, the iconic themed music to each ride, the scenery around the park, I don't know what it is but I visited a fair amount of times last season, 3 or 4 times over Halloween and loved it each and every time. I need an adrenaline fix asap. #2020.

So with jungle escape coming soon in May to fill the once IAC building, had anyone seen or heard anymore about it. There are obviously now boards up around the area showing concept art, but thought this would be a good space to discuss the new upcoming attraction.

Now Storm Surge has now opened to the masses here is the new topic to discuss the ride.Rode it today, its clear the area is certainly not finished but nice work from the park to get it open on time. The ride its self is very fun, it spins alot more than I expected and is actually pretty intense for a "dingy ride", the theming what's there is nice, and I expect we will see more of it too soon when the area is actually finished.
