Hi guys - how easy is it to travel to and from Thorpe from London in terms of public transport? I'm heading to London to do all the touristy stuff later this year and would love to throw a nice trip in. Would any of you have any advice how to get from London to Staines, then to thorpe? Also in terms of accommodation - if we wanted to stay 2 days at Thorpe would you recommend we stay in london and travel each day or stay within Staines itself. The new thorpe hotel box things are a option as well - but fairly expensive! Thanks for your help!

This is going to sound beyond random, but is there wifi you can connect a DS to the web with at Thorpe? I'm not sure if anyone would know but me and some mates are going on Friday and one of them wants to bring his DS so he can play on line Mario Kart if he gets bored of queueing.... Is there a free connection available in Thorpe to allow you to do that?

Hi everyone, I’m going to thorpe on Tuesday and since my last visit to the park I’ve been in hospital and am now on medication for the rest of life. My doctor says that standing in a queue for a prolonged period of time wouldn’t be good for me as it would cause me extreme fatigue and other side effects. How do I apply for a ride access pass so I can queue virtually somewhere else where I can sit down? Do I need to apply for RAP every time I go to the park or is there some way I can get something that allows me to have it every time I visit? Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi guys The concrete parking outside the front of Thorpe Park is that for staff? Premuim holders? Anyone? I've been there early before and still been told by the stewards to park on the gravel part.... Even though the concrete central part is free.... Any ideas? Em x

First time post! I am coming down from birmingham next Monday to TP and was just looking at the weather which doesn't look too good - scattered thunderstorms etc. Will this/heavy rain affect many rides? or would they just be closed during and thunderous periods? Don't want to miss out on The Swarm. Just trying to decide whether or not it will be worth going. Thanks for your advice!

Sooo, whilst I appreciate the Great British Weather (or should I say, the Great British Weather Forecast People) is/are forever changing their minds; the forecast for this weekend is looking pretty abysmal. Phone app was predicting high winds, MetOffice is predicting snow showers... I've been on park before when the bad weather policy has been in place, and literally nothing was running (quantum was the only open ride I could be bothered with, and we already know that will not be running this weekend, weather permitting or not). If the weather is that bad this weekend, what will they do? Just activate the policy, reschedule etc.? Something tells m…

Sorry, another size question. I'm just panicking as I'm going to TP tomorrow and scared I'll have to do the walk of shame haha Anyone of similar size had any problems? I'm most worried about Colossus. 5'7, 237lbs size 20 both top and bottom I don't have a measuring tape but last time I checked my chest was 49", stomach 47" standing. I also have quite large thighs. I have lost 35lbs since then so maybe a little smaller now, although I am still the same size clothing lol. Thanks.

Hi, I'm going this Saturday and need to pick up annual pass tickets and fastpasses from the annual pass place and the advanced sales building. What time do these ticket offices open (already got a MAP) and will the park open before 10? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, I’m just here to ask a few questions and I’d appreciate answers as opposed to Sgt Nick Angel level pro-law monologues, thanks. It’s just that my friends and I happen to be a few, or maybe more, months ‘shy of proper’ and are looking to go to one of the club nights as they seem quite fun. Do they check for ID at the gate or is just when getting drinks? Does the staff commonly ask people to produce ID at random?

Hello! Just a quick question for people who have used the Merlin Annual Pass Friends and Family Perk. It says that you need to book at least 24 hours in advance via calling a specific number and booking over the phone. I just wanted to know whether or not this works like reserving the tickets and then paying the money when you go to the attraction or do you have to pay over the phone via a credit card or something when calling? Planning to visit both the Dungeons and Thorpe in the next 2 weeks and need to get people discount tickets but was unsure as to how exactly this would work Any information would be appreciated!

This goes for all Merlin parks in the UK (except Legoland cos it looks like hell on earth). Years ago, when purchasing a ticket, on the reverse side there would be an offer to return to the park the next day at a heavily discounted price, last time I went it was like a fiver to return the next day. Does this offer still exist? I was planning of making a trip to Alton Towers at some point by buying a ticket on the day and then using Bounceback but I am unaware if the Bounceback offer even exists anymore.

Hi guys, Have been catching up on the Swarm backwards thread and the possibly renovation of X:/No Way Out and its getting me excited to get back to TP when it opens on 14th March! So my question is, from previous experiences - what is the first day open to the public like? Is it quiet? Busy? All rides working? Everything finished and running I.e. no overlaps with works etc? Its my birthday on the 12th March so I'm using it as an excuse to go TP on the first day it opens. I might as well get as much use out of my AP before it expires in August! It won't stop me going either way but just intrigued! Thanks guys x Em x

Just wondering if the ticket kiosks at the park are still operating normally, as I saw a post a few weeks back which said something about the security checks taking up the kiosks and that tickets were being sold elsewhere. Also, to get the discounted tickets with a regular Thorpe Annual Pass, they are purchased as if buying normal tickets, correct? Thanks

Hi Guys, My premium pass is up for renewal on 24 September and I'm only going to Fright Nights once this year so hardly worth paying £111 renewal to then only spend one day at TP and then it closes 5 months and only get 6 months out of the pass. I see that the premium passes full price is £199 - which is a big jump from £111 renewal! When the sales come out in Jan 2015 how much are the premium passes? Do they come down in price much? Wondering whether I should purchase one then - but I guess again I'm only getting 6 months use of it because I can't use it until March and then only until Oct/Nov but at least I would have Fright nights included again.... What…
