Hi, I went to Thorpe park a couple of weeks ago and I had heard that the queue boards had been moved or something? As we went around the park I kept an eye out for them but I couldn't see any of them. Not sure where they are. Maybe I'm just blind or something. Thanks.

Bit of a long shot, but does any member on here happen to know the best phone number for Thorpe Park to get through quickly? I'd be very grateful if someone could PM it to me, should they know it. Thanks.

Theme Park Guide are claiming that Thorpe will receive park wide WiFi this year and this is not an April fools joke. Has anyone else heard this or is there an official press release on this?

So Thorpe park are advertising that the Mend are playing tonight 8pm in the dome, I don't know who they are but I am more interested in seeing whether or not anyone can go to this entertainment. Even those not staying at the crash pad...and if there is a cost. Who's excited about watching The Mend play live tonight at THORPE PARK? Like · · Share 54 people like this. Ravey Davey What time?? Hi guys - how easy is it to travel to and from Thorpe from London in terms of public transport? I'm heading to London to do all the touristy stuff later this year and would love to throw a nice trip in. Would any of you have any advice how to get from London to Staines, then to thorpe? Also in terms of accommodation - if we wanted to stay 2 days at Thorpe would you recommend we stay in london and travel each day or stay within Staines itself. The new thorpe hotel box things are a option as well - but fairly expensive! Thanks for your help!

How much is the ORP pass this year if anyone knows? and how many photos/keyrings/magnets do you get for it this year? last year it was £20 for 5 which I think was pretty good! thank you to anyone who replys

I'm really wary of leaving my bag in theme parks whilst on ride. It's okay when they have wristbands and lockers to pickup your stuff at the end, but for some rides, you just chuck your possessions in a box. If I wore a bum bag (The fitted ones round the hip) would I still be asked to take it off on rides or would I be able to get away with it?

Hi everyone, I am planning on visiting this weekend with a 2 hour journey and was wondering what rides are usually affected by cold temperatures as the forecast is predicting temperatures of 1 -3 degrees throughout the day? Do any rides not open at all or does Thorpe usually manage to open all rides by the end of the 8 hour day? I've never been to Thorpe in the cold before so am anxious about my friends getting to ride everything. Many Thanks

  13. Hey guys as some of you know I contribute to another online forum Pleasure beach experience that's dedicated to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and what comes up a lot on there recently is that supposedly Thorpe Park had a bad year in 2012 and that The Swarm was a failure? http://www.pleasurebeachexperience.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&p=58409#p58409 Having not heard anything official if there anything about a bad year? I just wondered your thoughts and if someone could maybe give me any insight into what there claiming?

  14. Was anyone else held up by Liam and his "chums" on opening day? Although there were no queues for anything, the only waiting around was when him and his mates wanted to ride alone and stop the ride a few times to go maybe twice in a row... The park was so empty he basically had free reign with no hassle from any fans! although towards the afternoon people realised he was there and he was getting hounded a bit. It just seemed that every bloody ride we went on, he had already got there first holding up the ride for 15/20 mins! All in all had a great day though, never seen Thorpe so empty! went on everything far too many times!

Hi all, Just wondering, if entering with a Merlin Annual Pass do you have to queue in a special queue to enter the park instead of the usual makeshift zig-zag queue set up at the beginning of the day. Also, can my non annual pass holder friends enter the same way as me with their regular tickets as I don't really want to split up from them. Many Thanks

Hi, I'm quite a large female, but also on the shorter side and was wondering about the chest/thigh restrictions on Thorpe Park Rides. I've been to Flamingo Land in Yorkshire many times and had no worries about fitting in rides at all and not even needed help from the workers. But there seems to be a lot about size restrictions and people being turned down in Thorpe Park, even if they are below the restriction of 51 inches stated on the website. So was just wondering if anyone has been on any rides in Flamingo Land (as this is my most recent experience; and I went on them all - Kumali, Mumbo Jumbo etc) with no problems at all. Don't know if I'm just worrying for no reaso…

  19. Hey guys, I have now been notified that merlin staff can attend the preview day aswell with their friends which is a shame because I have missed the day now! Just for future reference: Will there be a 2014 friends and family day? How many friends/family can the staff take? How to get tickets for the day and do you have to pay? If there is one next year I may get a good chance to ride the 2014 ride with a short queue

Hiya Guys and Gals, I gonna be coming up to Thorpe for opening day, but its my first time using the thorpe bus service, so Ive got a couple of questions. 1) How much does it cost for a return fair? 2) Can someone explain the departures bit to me on this site, I'm only gonna be at the park for a couple of hours because Ill be going to London Dungeons later in the afternoon, so do the buses actually take people back from thorpe park to the station before 3:30pm? http://www.thorpepark.com/downloads/plan-your-visit/bus-950-timetable.pdf 3) How long does the journey take roughly, so I get to the train station on time. Thanks jjh123horry

Anyone who has visited the Park during the summer season would have noticed that pretty much every member of ride staff wears a pair of Ray Bans, are staff given a pair or do they go out and buy them themselves?

  22. Hi guys, I'm just about to book a ticket for my friend at £30.24 for the opening day 14th March. Now I read that friends and family can get 50% off the ticket price when a MAP books. I've tried the THorpe Park number to enquire or even book a ticket for my friend but it obviously says Thorpe Park is closed. How can I enquire/book if the park is closed ?! I'm happy to book online but I just wanted to see whether it was cheaper booking over the phone. Does anyone have an alternative number? Can I book via Merlin rather than THorpe Park itself? CAn someone reply ASAP as I'm on my lunch break waiting to book.... Ta x Emma x

Hi guys, Have been catching up on the Swarm backwards thread and the possibly renovation of X:/No Way Out and its getting me excited to get back to TP when it opens on 14th March! So my question is, from previous experiences - what is the first day open to the public like? Is it quiet? Busy? All rides working? Everything finished and running I.e. no overlaps with works etc? Its my birthday on the 12th March so I'm using it as an excuse to go TP on the first day it opens. I might as well get as much use out of my AP before it expires in August! It won't stop me going either way but just intrigued! Thanks guys x Em x
