    2019 Season

Wow... some of their social media replies really are shocking, you'd think this was coming from a fan account with 10 followers not the official Twitter page! Then again. I suppose it's better than nothing.

Source was an Eventbrite email for Friends and Family day on the MAP group. It also says Quantum closed (and Wet Wet Wet and the beach, obvs)

    2019 Season

While it's not for me at the mo, this is a very good idea! Hope it works out. I wonder if it's hit by bad weather they could move it in to pirates? Yeah, pirates. It'll always be pirates.

    2019 Season

I would assume this is what the Stealth tweet was referencing... https://thelunacinema.com/thorpe-park Outdoor cinema screening of Back to the Future and Bohemian Rhapsody during the May Bank Holiday. Tickets start from £27.50, including 2 hours of ride time on Stealth, Dodgems, Detonator and Teacups, with the film's starting at 9pm, and the screen being set up by Stealth. Interesting idea I guess, but no appeal to me personally

    Stealth

That's strange, as it's showing as open on the event page for Annual Pass day. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/2019-pre-season-day-at-thorpe-park-resort-tickets-56342094722 It probably isn't a huge issue for a coaster to be down for Annual Pass day provided that it's ready when the main season kicks in. However, it's poor to false advertise that the ride can be enjoyed on Annual Pass day if that isn't the case. It's all well and good saying it's a free event, an extra that they don't have to do, but if you look further down they're actively promoting the hotel, so essentially people could be booking hotel rooms and planning to visit on the basis that it'll be open when that might not be correct. I think it's probably a bit silly to list any rides as being available on there, considering the unpredictability of season starts in recent years and the fact that they couldn't guarantee any ride being available at the time of making the booking page public.

    SAW: The Ride

Whats actually scarier is that we had 4 coasters in 10 years.... now we have had 1 in ten years..... sums up the investment and overall feel of the park of late

    2019 Season

They are making the Stealth track and vehicles completely grey and then hanging a massive question mark underneath the Stealth arch for 2019 season.

  11. To be fair, when I was at Universal in 2017 the first thing that popped into my mind was “wow I like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Amazing Adventures of Spiderman but I really am missing DBGT and I’m a Celeb right now!!”

  12. So I visited yesterday and overall operations were kinda meh. Ride ops on Scorpion and Dragons were pretty slow with Scorpion dispatching every 3 hours. The winds didn't help either, a lot of the coasters were down (all 4 were at one point) so that didn't help the queues. Not bad though for the first day,, Vampire was running surprisingly good today, the staff really seemed eager to load the trains which meant the stacking wasn't as bad as usual. Room On The Broom was closed for technical issues everytime I went over there so didn't get to experience it sadly.
