Last season I rode the rapids during end of june time. The usual rapids queueline/station theme was actually playing in the tunnel and out of all speakers around the ride. First time I had heard it. I guess it doesn't do it now. This video I found shows the theme clearly playing around the ride up until around the wave machine.

Not only is it terrible but it's incorrect IMO because the guy says the rides and attractions are now closed, when its only the entrances to the queues.
They better change it back, I think we should all do a petition saying we want the old one back.

Whoever thought that might have even possibly been a good idea / replacement for the end of the day music needs their head(s) checked.

The old end of day music is back now, I think they realised that a siren on a 30 second loop is not a nice sound. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

Sounds like I'll be taking my ear defenders from work in future. If they can drown out military helicopters at close range, they should be perfect

Nooooooooooo! How could Thorpe scrap that awesome ambient music for what appears to be this ridiculously over played announcement. I knew the end of the day music was numbered .

After a trip to Europa Park you'll wonder why any park actually bothers with tamed down funfair rides.

Cant beat coca cola freestyle machines. Wish they introduced it to the parks. The currently have them on trial in several burger king branches in london. Over 125 varieties in a single machine.

Thorpe make far too much money from Fastrack so as much as I would also love for them to abolish it, I can't ever see that happening.
But It was nice at Europa Park without fastrack. The queues moved sooo much quicker. But then again on most of the rides there they didn't bother to check the restraints so trains on some rides were sent out in a very short space of time. For example their Mine train ride Alpenexpress was dispatched in 25 seconds. That time included the people getting off the previous ride and the people getting in ready for the next.

The reason it always seems so full and the extension built was because the queue line was split in two to accomodate fast track. Up until about 4/5 years ago the queue was twice the width and could fit more people in. As Ricky says a full queue moves quickly. Probably 20 minutes tops.

I still can't see it lasting. Everytime they sort it out everyone gets excited and it Never lasts. A couple of months and most if not all of the misters are broken again.

Also apparently safari skyway is up and running too I think we could be seeing sea storm getting its gates flung open through this half term period!

Usually it is a fault with the pump or as an operator on Tidal Wave once told me it can be because the level in the lake/water pool is too low and the pump/pipe isn't reaching the water. I think this happens a lot on Tidal Wave when there has been a lack of rain.

Always the most unpopular to ride, but I must say it is almost certainly the most popular for spectators. Always huge crowds in front of them.

Spinning cars!!! Now that would work well all the twists and turns on X. But again it's only fantasising

Must add that several of my non enthusiast friends have also said this during this year. It doesn't help that Saw Alive and Canada Creek Railway (and Fungle Safari the last three years) are all standing as if they are rides that should be open, but simply closed that day.
On top of that one of my friends who had never been before commented on the poor condition of the foilage in Saw The Rides queue line and said "Are they that tight and money grabbing that they don't employ gardeners".
If time was spent making the place look nice and removing SBNO rides then I believe they could easily get away with not having anything new as people would want to return. The place looking run down And no new ride could possibly put people off.

But except for the day that video was taken has that actually worked. Hasnt't on any of my visits

No. That was Dead End, placed in Lost City, On the path near Zodiac that leads round to Vortex.

Of course I know that, I'm not a complete idiot! What I meant was the person probably meant to avoid extending the wait any more than it should as the whole problem was that far more fast track guests were let through than normal queuing guests which was not normal procedure.
