The first coaster I ever went on was the old Wild Mouse at Funland, Hayling Island with my brother, and hated it. The ride that got me hooked on coasters was Indiana Jones at Eurodisney. Was the first time I went upside down.

I guess my first big coaster was the one at Funland before Klondike (Pinfari zyklon or something), I still miss that coaster.

First coaster was The Scenic Railway at Dreamland Margate.

Followed by The Looping Star at Dreamland Margate

Then a big big gap. A visit to Alton Towers just when Rita had opened. Rita almost put me off for life. Nemesis redeemed me.

I'll never forget my first time on Nemesis Inferno! Mainly my reaction, going through the loop for the first time:

"OK, we're now off the lift hill! WHEEEEEEEEEEEE! OMG here comes the first inversion...

...WAIT - WHERE DID THE TRACK GO??? Oh what a peculiar feeling!"

That ride was my childhood. Never was I so obsessed about a ride before like that one, from its majestic queue line and station, mysterious soundtrack amongst the combination of roller coaster and dark ride.
