jom222
Is there going to to an annual pass preview day this year??
Inferno
Yeah they've been telling people on Facebook and Twitter that there will be 2 Passholder days on 15th and 16th March. There aren't any details yet though.

Matt 236
I plan to visit on the 15th. Should be interesting to see how Angry Birds construction goes ahead and if there's any other park ride changes bar the stealth improvements and cantina extension. Cal
Never been to an annual pass day because I always thought they were packed haha, but apparently last years wasn't to bad? I'm hoping to go on the 16th.
Mitchada04
It was snowing at last years AP day which may have put people off going Merlin do seem to have a better system in place for AP days now than they did before though. EC!
I wouldn't think it would be packed as the GP won't be there and the weather we've been having at the moment would probs put off more people.

General Public do have annual passes too! It depends how they do it really, if it is the same weekend as the Chessington pass weekend and you can't bring mates for a fiver then it'll be alright. JoshC.
Unless I'm mistaken, 2011 has been the only bad AP day Thorpe have had. 2009 there was a mini-AP day (well, afternoon), which was executed well. Was mainly for a Saw preview, but some other rides were open and all went down well! 2010 was reasonably well done and rather quiet from what I heard. Last year seemed to be okay, though the limited backwards Swarm seats seem to cause some issues. Nothing drastic mind! So yeah, 2011 was the only bad AP day. Having an AP weekend now means it will probably be an alright weekend to go on park. Inferno and Ryan

Coaster
I'm thinking about going on Saturday afternoon (need a thrill fix ASAP, it's been far too long). 2011's AP day was dire so I stayed clear of last year's, but I'm going to give this one a go I think. EC!
TBH I'm fine if its quite busy, after going on the busiest day last year and on a day when all the schools were there, its safe to say a slightly busy AP day won't really bother me. I don't mind slightly busy, but 2011 saw 60 minute queues for the donut shacks, 3 hours for storm surge and big coaster etc, it was awful! EC!
Why was it so bad then, was it because of that let friends in for a fiver and the fact it was only on 1 day not 2?
Coaster
Why was it so bad then, was it because of that let friends in for a fiver and the fact it was only on 1 day not 2? I think a combination of both, they were letting in friends for £10 each etc plus it was advertised heavily.
EC!
Ahh yeah fingers crossed they dont do that, or atleast if they do make the friends charge abit more then that! Does anybody know what the parks opening hours be on those days then?
BigBobJones
Last years AP day was one of the best days of the year, if anything one big thing I noticed as how nice everyone was, no queue jumping, no smoking in the queues and the toilets were not trashed with urine on the seats like every other day. If anything most pass holders know the rules and stick to them and be nice to each other.

From what I hear, there were some people there who were incredibly rude to the staff members for no good reason whatsoever. Simply thought that because they were a passholder and had 'gotten there first', they were entitled to ride Swarm backwards or something. pluk
Did they not do some sort of pre booked ticket allocation for park entry on the AP day last year? That's the sure fire way to control the numbers on what is supposed to be something of a warm up for the new staff.
Cal
I wouldn't think it would be packed as the GP won't be there Well with Thorpe Park dishing out their annual passes with a free fast track for only £48, I don't think many people won't have them anymore. I think one of the days should be for people with Merlin annual passes only. JoshC.

Such self-entitlement from one of the worst enthusiasts I've personally come across... I completely forgot I went last year... Shows how memorable it was... EC!
I would suggest book them now because the fact you have to have tickets means that there is limited space I think. Edit: Booked!!
