Benin
Rather unexpected turn of events tbh... Irl pics: I want to be the person who takes off the protective covering... And those Mack restraints are actually gonna make this pretty damn good... pognoi
JoshC.
Feel like this could be in a similar vain to Intamin's wing riders (Skyrush) than B&M's ones. Not that that'd be a bad thing. Totally called it In all seriousness though, I had been expecting a spinner for a while now, so this is a pleasant surprise. The things I've heard of Skyrush have all been ridiculously positive, so a Mack take on that, seemingly crossed between a Eurofighter, has the potential to be incredible. Really looking forward to this! Also, Mack have said over Facebook that these cars are their 'BigDipper' cars. Will no doubt be seeing a few of these spring up soon I'm sure. pognoi and Glitch

holtjammy16
The fact that this turned out not to be a spinner confuses me, alot of the layout seems kinda plain and pointless? e.g the wild mouse turn and the general drawn out-ness of alot of it Also the trains looks odd on the huge track, like a rct3 ctr
JoshC.
The first drop looks fab, and I imagine the airtime on the first hills will be too! The weird, ever so slight, outward banking on that turn before the MCBR is just plain odd though.

I'm a bit unsure on the theming still; some of it looks a bit tacky I think, but some of it looks pretty awesome. Hopefully when it's finished it will come together quite well. Also, some of the soundtrack has appeared... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLKzEdAl4Ck
Benin
If Lost Gravity is the answer, just what WAS the question? That first drop though <

EC!
Official music video for the Lost Gravity soundtrack. I feel based off the music video and the ride itself, that the whole experience is themed to what its like during an acid trip...
Matt 236
With it being the Netherlands, that makes perfect sense. It could well be themed around the experience after eating a few magic brownies now.

Mark9
Very stereotypical. Not far from the truth either. KingNemesis, holtjammy16, Cal and 1 other
JoshC.
So this opened yesterday, and seems to have good reviews so far, despite some awkward pacing during the ride. For anyone interested, I'd suggest looking at the park's Snapchat (walisnaps), which shows the opening ceremony. Fireworks, confetti, dancers, actors, live performances, the lot. They certainly know how to open a ride it seems!
JoshC.
Goliath, the park's headline coaster, is getting a repaint to help celebrate the ride's 15th birthday next season... I like the colour, though some of the community seem to be a bit wary of the loss of the iconic green. In other news, the potential new ride for next year (which was said to be a thrill ride replacing the old 4D theatre near Lost Gravity) might not be happening. One of their Halloween attractions, The Clinic, used the space this year, and had a lot of money thrown at it apparently, and is also returning next year (if you're a fan of scare attractions, I'd recommend looking it up!). But given that this is Walibi, who knows what they're planning... Kerfuffle and pognoi
Matt 236
At least the ride is going to look fresh again next year. Was a fan of the green, but that may be due to my obsession with RCT2. So 2018 is potentially now their next big thing if next year's investment isn't happening I guess? Benin
2019 is the next big addition, they kinda announced that the other day as well but no mention of what it is aside from being big...
JoshC.
The park's director said back in February that 2019 would be a unique coaster costing more than Lost Gravity (though there's been no mention of how much Lost Gravity cost). 2017 was said to be a thrill ride, though no sort of monetary budget was rumoured. JoshC.
There's good news and bad news coming out of Walibi Holland... Good news: Speed of Sound, their Vekoma boomerang, is being repainted, with the same colours. Bad news: (H)El Condor, their atrocious Vekoma SLC which causes pain to every inch of your body, and should be ripped down as soon as physically possible, is also being repainted, also with the same colours. Source: http://www.looopings.nl/weblog/6497/Walibi-Holland-verft-deze-winter-drie-achtbanen.html I wonder if all this money bring used for repaints has come due to the presumed non-appearance of the 2017 attraction? Mitchada04
I didn't think that paint on either of those rides looked bad at all. And to go with the same colours just seems like throwing money away but hey, that's the weird wacky walibi way. J.S217
Matt 236
Suppose this can be seen as a good thing. Seeing most rides typically look much better after a repaint instead of being left in a grotty and neglected state. I'm yet to experience the terrors of that SLC, but can't say I am excited if and when I do.
JoshC.
Snazzy photo update: Source: http://www.looopings.nl/weblog/6638/Fotos-zo-ligt-de-Goliath-in-Walibi-Holland-er-nu-bij.html I really like the blue over the green! Though in some ways, the green and blue combo works really really; shame they couldn't do some Lost Gravity style design. Charlesberg
Looks good, I prefer dark blue to green so I'm satisfied.
Matt 236
The dark blue colour scheme is very striking indeed. Id love to see many coasters out there receive paint jobs like this.
