  • I have discussed this with a few members recently, this isn't an experience, this is torture.

There's a video of 2 of the people going through the new 'maze' and the guy running it gets annoyed that they can't deal with it. Both participants look close to dying from hypothermia. No thanks.

  • Jesus christ, there's a members only facebook group for (I think??) people who have survived the manor (or it could be people who have been picked/near the top of the waiting list), and on it there's

An extreme-sounding, a perhaps somewhat similar, event is coming to the UK:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cracked-Survival-Experience/420966354723423?fref=ts

The creators say they're not inspired by McKamey Manor really, but want to create an extreme event in the UK.  Sounds...interesting; look forward to reading any reviews come April...

All of these survival (torture) attractions really don't do anything for me! I can see why people love them, I really can, but I think I prefer to be told a story and be scared whilst having a laugh.

I almost chickened out on Face it Alone so I doubt I'd even go near McKamey  Manor is the event Josh just posted :P

the no safe word/no quitting is what makes it so concerning to me. id perfectly understand if people looking for a very extreme experience did this with full knowledge that they could stop at any time...but not being allowed to leave unless you physically can't continue is ridiculous. the fact that this place can get people to the point where they may die or become extremely unwell/injured if they carry on is so ****ed up. its awful

This is not anything worth your thought or attention, this is not "horror" or really anything to do with scare attractions. It's simply sado-masochism and has been around for so long, why somebody is now trying to commercialise/brand it, and term it as a 'haunted house' experience  is ridiculous.

Some people in the world also do much worse things than this, seems they are going to keep pushing until the squeeze more and more shock out of people just to gain attention and satisfaction.

..Moving on...
