Just tried to book 6 tickets for me and a group of friends to go to FN on 29th Oct and the price is £51.50 a head! It was £35 when I checked last week and I paid £25 last year! Anyone know why it is so expensive and how they justify this with even less attractions on offer?

Anyone got any info or tips on discount codes etc? Would be much appreciated!

It's the same for this Saturday - can only assume this is what they are charging for Saturday's as they will be the busier day, it maxed capacity last Saturday so can assume it might be close to capacity again so has reverted to standard price. All other days still on offer though.

I suggest trying to go with someone with a MAP who can get friends and family tickets for £25

Platform 15: in the light was litterally a walk in the park but thought the tunnel in platform was terrifying but this is only possible if your at the back and constantly turning around seeing the sillohette of actors chasing you.

Cabin in the woods:

abisal the first time round, there were no actors in the woods room or the ballerina room but this improved quickly after the second time round since actors were litterally everywhere but rlly no different to last year

big top: amazing and completely different and there actually being a chainsaw unlike the soundeffects from previous years made it even better. Finally made a half promising maze to replace the asylum ?

Blair witch: where were these new scenes? Just a few bushes pressed together and a few lights so no one missed the stick men that was it ! Only fun if you drop back abit and let the actors do their thing on your own.

All L in all a good fright night

Much, much, better atmosphere than last year.

As it was a Friday, the queues were not too atrocious and I only heard about one fight (Blair witch queue)

Only got on three mazes but that was because there was a large amount of faff from my friends.

Big Top: a much better maze than 2015. Got lost in the first section. Loved the touches like the old rangers in one room!

Platform 15: surprisingly quick queue. My friend thought the tour guide actor was part of our group for a bit. Beautiful scenery, brought back memories of when I was little on that train. Ending section, though boring, was a little disorienting and it was funny to hear all of us making stupid noises in pitch darkness.

Blair Witch: not very good, made better by my group singing All Star and the group behind joining in.

Going tomorrow as I haven't managed to get there before this weekend! I'm expecting a busy day. Has anyone got any recommendations when to get on the mazes to make sure I can fit as many in as I can? (e.g. which would be the best to queue for before it opens!) Thanks in advance

I would start off with Saw Alive as it tends to get a long ish queue. Cabin is always advertised as more than it is (I've never waited more than an hour for it even when it's advertised as 120).

Big Top will get busy but do it in the dark because light shines into the tent and diminishes the strobes. The queue moves very slowly which is an issue.

Blair Witch seems to always be busy mainly because it opens later and Platform will be quiet ish in the day and get busier at night.

Hope this helped in someway :)

Indeed, thank you! :)

Will post my thoughts after

What fight?

If we're meaning a fight that happened in the Blair Witch queue on Friday, my friends saw it happen. Apparently all the temporary queue fences were being shoved about and a man started strangling a girl. I joined my mates as the staff were moving the fences back. Most likely they were escorted off park.

My thoughts on the mazes from my visit tonight:

Platform 15- had a crappy run through, lack of actors, at points it was actually quite boring-2/10

Cabin- Awful, groups stacking has always been a problem, but stacking was abysmal.

The maze felt constantly crowded, and a lack of actors didn't help this-1/10

Big Top- Had two brilliant run throughs. The maze could do with a few more actors, but the actors in the maze where brilliant.

Overall the maze provided some good jump scares, and the strobe section was very confusing, so much that our group was left doing circles for quite a while-8/10

Saw Alive- Even though very short, Saw seemed short but sweet.

The maze seemed to have actors a-plenty, and scares where very good-6/10

New audio on park today! Not only Lionsgate horror movie scores...but also music for old mazes like Asylum and even MBV! The audio from MBV maze-wise is what was was formerly played inside the maze; the lovely sounds of Harry Warden brutally killing his victims! Creates a nice atmosphere but can get a little disturbing if heard for a long period of time, like a 30 minute long massacre.

Only problem I found is there are a lot of areas around park without speakers or with broken speakers. Nothing playing on detonator, quantum or Colossus station and queue.

I think they work but are a little quiet!

Also the green mushroom speakers around Bush BBQ which haven't worked for as long as I remember are now working - speakers on Old Town BK also working :)

Stealths area has also had some attention and is sounding good :)

Yes, actually I noticed those bush bbq ones working actually. Shame some are so quiet though, the atmosphere is so much better when music played loud over FN. Only place that I thought seemed to be of a decent volume was the big top and Nemesis Inferno station.

Hopefully you've noticed a significant difference in the number of speakers which do now work.

Dead spots are a work in progress!

Colossus Station & Queue will be rectified imminently!

Thanks for visiting Fright Nights 2016!

Thanks for the update, keep up the hard work. Is good to have someone actually interested in rectifying the issues with some of the audio :)
