Theme Park bloke
I have a question. Are despatch themes (like Stealth's) played automatically when the button is hit to to despatch a train? Also, are ride themes (like Colossus' queueline), played off a memory chip or CD in a piece of equipment seperate to the ride controls equipment? StevenVig
Most ride announcements will have their own separate panel, which is controlled manually. For Example, the announcement you hear when Vortex Starts. The operator will have to press two buttons at the same time, one for the announcement, one to start the rides sequence.Area Music is controlled by a central computer and is rooted out to different areas of the park. The computer is programmed to know what files to play where, and at what time. So things such as WWTP Radio, Lost City Music etc, is all controlled automatically by one central hub. This is commonly known as Project Link. This kind of music is out of the operators control, however, they do have the power to make an area wide announcement through the queue line and surrounding areas. Chloebell
Does anyone have any SAW audio? Just wondering, as I couldn't find any anywhere
Johnny07
Not currently. There is a link a couple of posts back with high quality recording of area music, but the actual sound files are not around yet. I suspect there is a bit of a thing with Lionsgate owning all the audio?
James
Nope. Lionsgate don't own any audio or videos for Saw.

Vortex is an intense ride. Vortex is an inside ride. Vortex is an intense ride!"Then "Hold on tight. Hold on tight. Hold on tight. Hold on tight."I is easily amused :POccassionally the ride wouldn't start, so the floor lower music would start but the floor wouldn't move, and it was really confusing the first time it happened to me! Johnny07
The new stealth side loop is very much needed, pleased about that It's a shame the original loggers announcements don't play anymore.

Sam P
Any more new songs played on the new Amity Speedway loop?
Whiteknuckle
Same songs I'm afraid. Just some of the talking is different.
James
It's a 3 hour loop, it contains all the original talking segments from 2006 with all the adverts and many new songs, I will not be happy with anyone who dislikes it :(
StevenVig
There's only one part I dont like about it and you know what that is James, haha Oh god, the fun I had with that PA "Vortex is an intense ride. Vortex is an intense ride. Vortex is an inside ride. Vortex is an intense ride!"Then "Hold on tight. Hold on tight. Hold on tight. Hold on tight."I is easily amused :(Occassionally the ride wouldn't start, so the floor lower music would start but the floor wouldn't move, and it was really confusing the first time it happened to me! Haha, I knew you would have to say something about that Michaela, that was the only real example I had since I have seen you do it, haha. Johnny07
Has the introduction of the new loop stopped speakers cutting/not working or is that unrelated?
James
Thats an unrelated issue, when the decibel level gets too high on a speaker it will automatically cut out and reset it back to its set volume. It still does it a fair bit I'm afraid.
Johnny07
Ahh, how annoying, at least we have a nice new loop though, one step at a time aye?
Todge
Vortex has audio issues, it might be the one James was talking about when it cuts out.Very funny yesterday at Colossus, we were just about to leave then some pre-set voice on the speakers kept saying "welcome welcome welcome welcome welcome welcome" for about 2 minutes then it says "Colossus is about to restart so hold on tight" Restart? I didnt know it had stopped?
Dan9
On Sunday I didn't hear any of the audio cut out once. Even queueing for Stealth, not one time did I hear it cut out. So I guess if it does still happen, it seems to only happen on certain days.
James
Well the old loop wasn't as problematic it seems. Vortex just sounds like an operator pressing the preload announcement over and over
