themeparkmad
They look horribal get rid of them.Basically, for the sake of a few small water squirters, this has made part of Tidal Wave's area completely ruined!Wise move Thorpe Park! :PAny other ride areas that you want to ruin? This doesn't completely ruin Amity Cove as the area has been on the down for years now.
TimR
I still have no clue what they are there for. .

esp3001
I think its a terrible idea to put up those shields, if people want to use the pistols to get riders (more) wet then they themselves should be able to get it back. Protecting them from the splash made by the boats is stupid. Perhaps we can lobby to get Thorpe to install water pistols that are mounted and aimed at the original pistol shooters... Fight fire with fire (or water with water).
TimR
to stop people from throwing things at the people squirting water This probally sounds stupid but how do you fire water at people if there is a huge shield in front of them. A-Kid
That plastic sheet is just pathetic. God, atleased make it look like you tryed...
Jamie W
TBH, I don't think the sheets are that bad, especially when you compare it to the crates of lemons and the cheaply painted over 'Extra Wet Soak Zone'. Seriously, the've already killed tidal wave, and I couldn't care less what they do to it next, whether it's a refurb or crappy looking plastic sheets. (Hang on...) rossafc
I dont like the look of the plastic sheets, but when I actually saw them they were not as bad I thought. although they do not look good
TimR
Yeah they aren't as bad as I thought aswell.
Sidders
But surely in doing this they've stopp something like a third of the original Soak-Zone from getting wet at all now? To me, they look so flimsy they could almost fall over with the next small gust of wind.
rossafc
The water that goes to the soak zone comes from over the Photo booth, the plastic sheets do not reach that height
holtjammy16
I went on june 29th and this ride made an amazingly big splash, it went all the way over the soak zone and almost hit the stone thing people sit on. it was so cool because I was running from the splash but it still got me soaked

holtjammy16
I went on it today and we got splashed 3 times!1 - when we were on it.2- when we were still on it but it had stopped outside the station building while another boat went down the drop and the splash got us more wet then it did when we splashed.3- we were walking out the exit and next thing we know we hear a sploosh sound and the wave hit uss!Amazing ride though! Rich
I for one dislike the ride, even when it's boiling hot! It gets you too wet and I don't do it unless I'm dragged on it!
Sam P
I only go on it when it is boiling hot
themeparkmad
The only bad thing is...When it is baking hot, I have seen the queue sign saying 120 mins.I don't know about others, but I could not stand in a queue line for 2 hours with the blazing hot sun for a really short ride.I know it is not as much fun, but if you are really hot, stand in the Soak Zone! TimR
I agree Rich, its too wet even if it is very hot, I'd rarther stand near the soak zone so I can decide how wet I get.
themeparkmad
Does anyone know, or have any ideas, why Tidal Wave is unavailable as it has not been unavailable alot this season compared to others.
