thorpeparkjack
Well I've clearly touched the nerves of the B&M fanclub this morning.Yeh OK not large elements, elements of the post I disagreed with. Strongly. Well if you are on park tommorow, enjoy your boring forceless ride on Inferno. Lets just pray that the Swarm delivers a little more... pluk
I would ask B+M if it was possible to build a coaster that all fan boys could agree on. tomglazed, ThrillSeekerMatt, thorpeparkjack and 4 others
Dan9
Most intense on park - get real that is just simply not true.It definitely is*. Inferno had a tough first few years but since I've been visiting Thorpe it's improved every single year. It's the only ride in the whole park which continues to make my eyes water after every ride, and as Benin said, it's the only ride I've been on in the world to have ever made me blackout. There's barely any breathing space...In my opinion.*bar maybe Detonator, but I presume we're only talking coasters. Saw was overhyped but still delivers far more than Inferno.I'm all for differing opinions and everything, but this one really does make me scratch my head. TraX
Saw delivers me an immediate headache and a trip in an ambulance for many others! HAHA
Lewis.
Any few seconds of Inferno > The whole of Saw. My question: What coaster are you most proud of and why?Yeah, crap question I know. I'm not exactly a massive Enthusiast though so, meh.

TPGG
For me, Inferno is easily the worst coaster in the park. I never feel a significant change in speed like I do the other coasters which just makes me think 'meh this is crap, why did I bother queuing 10 minutes for this when the banan boat is so near by?' JoshC.
Lookalike a bit of what should have been seen as banter in this topic went a bit far...Despite Inferno being practically my favourite ride on park, I agree with Jack in that it's not that forceful. The vertical loop and one of the turns (honestly cannot remember which one mind) bring force for me. However, that elegance, mixed in with forceful points, is exactly what I love about Inferno. I find Saw much more forceful (well, intense, for a better word) and have greyed out on it once before. I guess people react differently to G-forces on rides.Though, the really funny thing is, Jack moans that Inferno lacks any force, yet has no problem with Air and absense of any force whatsoever... ;)tl;dr: People are different! TPGG
The last corner up to the brake-run on Inferno is slightly forceful
JackR
I've always found the trough of the first drop and in between the loop and Zero-G quite forceful, and the turn after the Zero-G. A pretty average ride after that though.

Benin
A mod should probably be doing this, but I'm up and bored so...We've derailed the topic enough, someone was good enough to open a topic for the Inferno discussion HERE. Let's leave this for some good old fashioned question time. For example, THAT Dive Loop, who designed it?
Sheepie
Tell us a bit about the design process behind the ride; was the layout proposed by you as the manufacturer or a collaboration between Thorpe Park and yourselves? Has the layout undergone any changes during the design the process?
Sidders
A lot of these questions are really very interesting, and I'm sure I speak for the majority of the forum when I say I would very much love to hear exactly what B&M have to say about them. If only we could really ask them... *sigh*

tomglazed
Question for Carsten: How would you describe the feeling of seeing the final piece of a rollercoaster you have been putting together for weeks on end being set in place? Sidders
As Thorpe Park appear to have stopped the video interviews with the Construction and Design staff, this topic will be closed until - or if at all - further notification reaches TPM about the videos. Thanks to everyone for your contributions!
