Topsyturvy15
With the new season fast approaching what addition would you add to the events calender for 2012? For me a 'Fourth of July' fireworks and late night event would be good as although it is an American event it would still add a good feature to the calender in a time with little else on. Lewis.
The park to be closed to the public on the 11th June for my birthday so that me, my friends and family can have the park to ourselves :PEvery year.
thorpeparkjack
Something other then the HEAD RUSH, that event is now a non event as everyone expects it. Makes no sense from my POV.

Coaster
THE SWARM PREVIEW DAY!A preview of the Swarm (for AP holders and friends) where you get a tour then get to ride it. This could be before the main season and as it gets dark early it could be open an hour into darkness.

pluk
I don't like the idea of that one. A major opening like this should be an event for everyone, not just the few that can visit often enough to justify an AP.Says the man without an AP!! JoshC.
It sounds a little bit like the planned Th13teen event, which was meant to cost, what, £300?Thorpe wouldn't give a tour like that for a small cost when they can do £300pp
Fred
Thirteen event cost err... £110 or sommet? It was relatively cheap and worth it, and I paid.. and ultimately got money back!
JoshC.
Oh, that's quite cheap actually... :$I thought extra costs though, like the need for having to stay at one of the park hotels bumping up the cost or something? I do remember the sole reason for me not going was the cost, then to hear about people getting money back was a right kick in the teeth!Still, Thorpe could make a whole lot more charging a hundred odd quid pp for a tour-like event, than turning it into an AP day like event.. Rollerjunkie
I like the idea, but what would you expect from the tour?Personally, I'd like tho see more tie-in themed events. Like how Legoland had the star wars event(s). Just little things during the year to change things up a little. RJ
Marc
More events with the style of blows it up, they proved Thorpe park radio park wide works and it works well, more like this throughout summer please!
JackR
Thorpe just posted a poll on their Facebook fan page. The question was: Hey thrill hunters! We know you love the events at THORPE PARK. Which one of these would you most like...The options included: Wakeboarding competition and show Wrestling event Skate/BMX competition and show MotorX show Foam Party Nice to see the park actually are planning some new events for the upcoming year. What would you like to see the most and how do you think it will all turn out?
Mark9
Do the foam party. Do the foam party. Do the foam party. AdamY
Bubbles1
what about a mixture between a foam party, AND the wakeboarding show. just chuck 3 tankers of imperial leather into the lake :Dno, but seriously, how would they do a foam party, have a golf cart drive round the park spraying people?ooh, they should do that in the summer, but with water! DanMn
I think a motocross stunt show would be something new & original
th13teen
Ideally I would like to see the 'All Day NightClub' event.Which would go long into the night, probably start at 4-5 in the afternoon and would finish around 10 in the evening, The Arena would be the main source for the Night Club/Live music event. All this aswell as Rides in the surrounding area open, blasting out the music with temporary lighting, the other stage areas including the showcase would show up and coming acts, in essence turning into a mini-festival within a mini-theme park.I see Thorpe Park being an excelent live music venue, but needs a good execution;also as I have said before a beach party dishing out the latest tunes by some decent DJ's on the beach, not just a random live act but something on the scale of one of the american spring break parties on the beach! (Excluding most of the alcohol for obvious reasons) :)Yes its never going to happen, but they are two events slightly altered, tailered to my own opinion. pluk
I don't see Thorpe having the space to put on live music on anything like the scale that makes it worth anyones while. What they have got is an awesome lake with an undeveloped perimeter, it screams out for . Phill Pritchard
Mark9
A summer event would be good. Thorpe does get in large numbers during the summer, and it can get awfully hot as well. I'm thinking of a name like Summer Scream 'n' Soak, but you guys can also dispense ideas as well. Ricky

th13teen
To celebrate The Swarm, during the peak summer, they could have a water stunt show, which would include fire effects and overall destruction in the theme of The Swarm!
GladiatorFanKyle
I'd love for thorpe to do an event like alton towers live. That would be really good and it would bring in way more people to the park
Matt 236
Well seeing as we have MOS during the whole season, Summer Nights and Sun Scream in the summer and Fright Nights at the end of the season, the park has quite a few events, however I would like to see any of the following happen in the future (or even this season). More dome events like the ones we saw quite a few times last year such as comedy nights, roller discos and music gigs return as they give a great variety of additional entertainment for the park. The return of the fireworks, which would be greatly received if done right with the new widened target audience and would end the park season literally with a bang. However, I doubt we would see this return until at least 2015 if not later. A half term event like towers again where selected rides are open. Despite not going too well in the 2007-2009 period it ran, I feel it could work much better now the park has a greater range of attractiones and also the addition of another indoors one too, plus the efforts we've seen I. 2013. However we wouldn't see this until at least 2015, if ever.
