Emma1980 Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 I would love an actor sitting next to me on the ride it would be ace lol Quote
Benin Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 The idea of "Edir Eht - WAS" horrifies me beyond compare... The idea of actors does not factor logically into not have stupidly long queues... I thought the park were meant to be reducing queues? Quote
Deleted Users Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 I would love an actor sitting next to me on the ride it would be ace lol And how exactly do they act when they have no hiding spaces, effects to use oh and are strapped to a seat? Emma1980 1 Quote
Ricky Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 I very much doubt they would pay someone to sit on SAW for 7 hours, it would be a massive waste of money! It will be interesting to see what comes of this #FrightNights marketing picture. Quote
Coaster Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 The occasional (and I mean very occasional) actor filling a spare seat on Saw would be fine (quite funny tbh!) Quote
Emma1980 Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 And how exactly do they act when they have no hiding spaces, effects to use oh and are strapped to a seat? Because they would just be there saying nothing staring in the beginning stages of the ride or hanging around the stairwell - now that would **** me up cos I always hate the stairwell queue for saw lol The occasional (and I mean very occasional) actor filling a spare seat on Saw would be fine (quite funny tbh!) Yep ;-) Quote
Coaster Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 One thing I would like to see at this year's Fright Nights is scarier looking actors. The roaming actors last year were very scary looking (in comparison to the ones in the mazes), but the actors in the mazes didn't really look very scary to be honest (mostly just white facepaint with blood on). A few of the actors wearing masks would make the mazes a lot scarier - I reckon this is likely to happen this year because the actors are going to be representing horror film characters. Quote

JoshC. Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I'm surprised I'm posting this... http://www.thorpepark.com/frightnights/ Huh? Been like that since the announcement, and Marc posted it then... Thorpe Park and Lionsgate UK present Fright Nights! http://thorpeparkmania.co.uk/news/22-08-2013/THORPE-PARK-and-LIONSGATE-UK-Presents-Fright-Night http://thorpepark.com/frightnights/ Quote
Benin Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Fair enough, I don't exactly come into this side of the forum often (because I don't care) and never saw it discussed... As you were... Quote
MarkC Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Never go to the basement. Never. #FrightNights Quote
Coaster Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 ^ Cabin in the woods! If there is a basement scene in the maze I can imagine it being very effective. Quote
Glitch Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 ^ Cabin in the woods! If there is a basement scene in the maze I can imagine it being very effective. It won't feel like a basement though as were do TP have stairs in there mazes Quote
Altitude Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Just blindfold guests and make them walk on inclined treadmills? Basement = Done. Quote
c1hrisin Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 They wouldn't have stairs.. They would have to light it and stop people from being scared (by actors or distractions) so they don't fall down. H&S and all that shizzle Quote

JoshC. Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) The Sanctuary also uses stairs. All well and good suggesting using stairs for a Thorpe maze, but what place is suitable for a maze and could utilise stairs? I can't think of anywhere. For a Cabin in the Woods maze, I wouldn't be surprised if it just focuses on what section of the film - either just being in the cabin, just being in the woods, or just being in the laboratory thing. Edited September 5, 2013 by Tommy Not everyone has seen the film! ;) Quote
Coaster Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I've just had a thought. Thorpe's official website hasn't even revealed the lineup for the event yet, so only facebook fans (and a few others who have heard) know the lineup. It's surprising that their main website hasn't given much in the way of information about the event yet - surely by now (with less than a month to go) the mazes should be on the website? Actors clearly told not to go near them to induce a shock and someone falling! c1hrisin 1 Quote

stretchy Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Stairs aren't unheard of in scare mazes. Both Terror of the Towers and Sanctuary have stairs in them at Towers. Quote
Dodge2002 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 So its perfectly acceptable to literally shove someone into a 1m x 1m hole and make them crawl through it, but heaven forbid someone go anywhere near a staircase! Quote
EC! Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Watched My Bloody Valentine, god what a rubbish film that is, so predictable, that maze I will have to do to see if its as bad as the movie! Quote
