Following @Inferno's excellent write up about their Face it Alone experience, I've been inspired to talk about my own. For those who haven't seen Inferno's write up... To those unaware, Face it Alone was a VIP extra available at Fright Nights between 2013-2016 where, after the park closed, - you guessed it - you could go through a Fright Nights maze...alone! But it was more than that, the run throughs were much more extreme and personal, and unlike anything seen at Fright Nights before or after. --- I'll take the opportunity to discuss my first ever Face it Alone experience, which was in Saw Alive in 2013. But before…

Hey all, I'm currently working on an accurate and somewhat complete X playlist, for all the songs that played in the queue line and the pyramid itself. I'm wondering if anyone could send over any personal or online clips from X with music playing in the background. (These songs played between 2013 and 2017 and some may of been removed and changed as the playlist was changed every couple of seasons) My current song list is: - Sweet Lovin' Sigala, Bryn Christopher - Salsoul Nugget (If U Wanna) M&S, The Girl Next Door - Infinity 2008 Klaas Vocal Edit Guru Josh Project, Klaas - Show Me Love (Extended Mix) St…

Hi, I went on the ride X no way out on September 28th 2015 at around 8 o clock, I was accompanied with an ex partner and another couple. It was Fright night. The ride is what you would expect to be although seemed cheap compared to the rest of the roller coasters there. The restraint was a waistbound bar lifted down from overhead that locks In place. The ride begun and was fun with the drops, twists, lights ect, then the cart come to a slow halt and stopping before the exit. Panic grew as I was aware a few months prior at Alton Towers, a couple crashed in to a cart in front, before exiting, my fear latched on to …

We're just over 3 months to Fright Nights 2024 and we don't have a thread? We're slipping guys... Nothing is confirmed for the event, so for now, everything is speculation / what you want to see... My Predictions The return of the 3 mazes Trailers, Survival Games and Stitches Return of Lucifer's Lair and Amity High (in some incarnation) Something new in Death's Doors' location Mysterious new attraction The glaring omission here is The Crows. I would love to see them return in some way, and I think the scare zone works well. But the simple issue is for now: Hyperia. The area is being used for Hyperia's extra qu…

Just wanted to start the hype for Fright Nights this year. What mazes does everyone want to return? Personally I would like them to go back to the roots of Fright Nights with the likes of Asylum, The Curse etc. [EDIT] : By saying I would like them to go back to the original mazes I mean more of a straightforward linear path with proper jump scares.

speculation has already started for the ride after WC. Personally I absolutely love the idea of a ride like this coming to the new island at thorpe, but at the same time I couldn't see it happening...

Hi,as some of you may remember up until 2010 Thorpe Park had an area called Octopus Gardens. Featured in Octopus Gardens was a mini Ferris Wheel called Swinging Seashells. Upon the resection of Octopus Gardens Swinging Seashells was relocated to Weymouth Sea Life Centre. During 2016 Weymouth Sea Life Centre removed all their rides. Ironically 2 were relocated to Thorpe Park as Timber Tug Boat and Lumber Jump. Timber Tug Boat was removed in 2021 in preparation for Project Exodus (Hyperia). Lumber Jump was relocated and rethemed at Thorpe Park as High Striker. High Striker is located more or less where Swinging Seashells was. Swinging Seashells is the only Weymo…

There's been some speculation about the key referring to the Netflix series Locke and Key, but that skull and horns doesn't seem to fit with that? Interesting!

Hi, I'm Danielle, and as you can see from my username, I love X:/ No Way Out (even though I've never rode it and live in the USA.) I specifically like it pre-2007, though, before they changed the storyline and sound effects. The computer virus theme appeals to me, because it reminds me of the Toonami miniseries "Trapped in Hyperspace" (am I the only USA person here who knows what that is?) I want to make a ride like X:/ and Outer Limits: Flight of Fear over at Kings Island and Kings Dominion in the USA had a baby, themed after that miniseries. So I want to ask, what was the experience like pre-2007? I know there was a huge queue with interactive rooms that sta…

Hi friends! One for the oldies here, does anyone else remember the “Ride it First” competition game on the Saw mini site back in 2008? If my memory serves me correctly it had some relatively crude 3D graphics and the goal was to recreate a *particular scene* from the first film as quickly as possible. I remember being quite taken aback by how grisly it was, but that may have just been my 10 year old brain. I’m sure if I saw it now it’d seem pretty quaint. Does anyone else remember this? Better yet, does anyone have any images or (Even better) footage of it? Or has this tiny little piece of Thorpe Park history become lost media.

Who remembers the black spot? A long time ago, a bit sketchy in my mind.I seem to remember the train to the farm being diverted occasionally, some went straight to the farm, others got theatrically 'hijacked' by pirates where a kind of show was put on by actors when the train stopped. A few terrified kiddies were pulled from the train to be used in the show and at some point a black spot was put in the palm of the hand of one of them. They would then be told they would die a slow and painful death because of their black spot(!), but be given a voucher for a free ice cream to make up for it. Such a good idea and I remember loving it as a child. Why was it gotten rid of? Wo…

Fright Nights 2021 is the 20th anniversary of Fright Nights. The park haven't been shy about acknowledging that fact either, and have a level of form in doing something on park to celebrate some events.. -In 2011, they mad a big deal about it being the 10th anniversary, with the first set of proper roaming actors at the event (clowns with a birthday cake), and the naming of Experiment 10. -In 2014, they again acknowledged the 13th anniversary, with the naming of Studio 13, which also happened to be their 13th Fright Nights attraction. -In 2016, we got Platform 15, and the roamers were dedicated to different old mazes (The Freezer, The Curse, etc) …

Due to brave it alone no longer being offered I was wondering if people would share their experiences. I never experienced it and would like to learn about what it entailed.

It felt like the park found a specific niche for itself. Big, loud and fun. It described itself as Johnny Knoxville if he were a theme park and knew exactly what it wanted to be. The park was always busy and was an incredible day out. Even the fright nights was one of the best, debuting the first roaming actor team which were the clowns. Saw was the only IP they had and it was an absolute blast and the mazes were unique to their own original design. My memories of visiting back then are always positive whereas now it’s hardly the same feeling I get and my passion for visiting has massively gone down. The park doesn’t ever know what it wants to be and mo…

Hi guys. Sorry to bother you all, but I've recently been re-reading Making Thorpe Park by Chris Atkinson (an excellent read, by the way!), and when discussing the earlier years of the park, it talked quite a bit about Treasure Island, a pirate-themed train ride and show (I think?) that the park operated under RMC. The land is allegedly not in use anymore. So my question was; where exactly was Treasure Island, and does the park still own the land? I'd also be intrigued to know about Thorpe Farm, but I know that was near Canada Creek/Old Town, as the Canada Creek Railway used to run to Thorpe Farm until 2006.

My favourite ride in the country. I once went to the park and rode it all day and went on nothing else. The ride is great but it could be longer. On the day where I rode it all day, I sat in the log for about seven runs at a time as the park was very quiet. Discuss Thorpe's oldest thrill ride here.

Fright Nights may have just ended, but we can still start discussing what could 2017 hold for the event! I do seriously hope all of the Lionsgate mazes go; they are all getting rather stale now.
