Quick Questions

  1. Hi all, My annual pass will be expiring in less than a months time and I was wondering what the best and cheapest way would be to renew it. I currently hold a premium pass, but due to greater expenses this year may have to downgrade to a standard which is something I don't really wish to do because it would mean paying for parking and £5 every time I visit a fright night. I wish to pay at least 30% less than full price, what's the best way to get pass reductions at this time of year?

Hi, I'm going this Saturday and need to pick up annual pass tickets and fastpasses from the annual pass place and the advanced sales building. What time do these ticket offices open (already got a MAP) and will the park open before 10? Thanks in advance!

  3. Hey, I just bought (off my credit card) a 5 pound ticket for FN on October 12 for me and my friend. I also got us a Director's Cut fastrack ticket each. The time on the Director's Cut is "15:00-15:30"... does this mean we're gonna get on all 4 mazes in half an hour, or the first one starts at 3? There are no other times booked for us, just that one...? Also, do I pick up my MAP holder tickets AND the director's cut fastrack tickets from the Advanced Sales Building or the MAP tickets from the Annual Pass buidling and the Director's Cut from the ASB? Thanks in advance, I really need these questions answered .

Hi guys The concrete parking outside the front of Thorpe Park is that for staff? Premuim holders? Anyone? I've been there early before and still been told by the stewards to park on the gravel part.... Even though the concrete central part is free.... Any ideas? Em x

This is mostly aimed at people that have worked at TP in Rides & Attractions. What are the best bits/worst bits about the job? Is it fun? Got any pictures? I'd like to see some pics of control panels. I know there's already a post for this, but most of the pics are unavailable. Thanks

  12. Hey First I'm sorry if this comes off weird or even self centered I just want a better idea then some other forums I've seen where people go " I wear X size clothes and I fit fine " xD Basically I want a kinda honest answer here, my partner and I and some friends wanna go to Thorpe Park in the next coupla of weeks but I am scared my butt aint gonna fit in the rides! It's embarrassing sure but I would rather just straight up ask y'all who have a better idea then me of sizes in the rides, then get there and do dreaded walk of shame if I dont fit! Last time I was at a theme park was about ten years ago and I was a skinny little teen, 2 kids and junk food since I am not…

  14. Hey guys, so I have a premium annual pass (merlin) and I am taking 2 friends to thorpe park on the second of september. I booked tickets through the family and friends passholder perk, and we bought fastpasses. I wasnt aware that chessington had early ride times, but they bought it up. I now know that both chessington and Alton towrs have ERT, but I was wondering if thorpe park does, and if (through the way I booked the tickets) my friends can have it too? Thanks!

  15. Hi guys and gals, Have been lurking on these forums for a good while. I have just received confirmation on an audition and interview for fright-nights actor. Has anyone ever been to one of these or annother interview run by TP? Could anyone tell me some tips and or what to expect for one of these. If all goes well hopefully ill be there making your nightmares real!

  16. Started by LeeP,

So I went to Thorpe yesterday and found the queue times to be massively unreliable - some queue times showed 30 minutes but we queued for 10 minutes and some rides said 30 minutes and we queued for over an hour, I don't think there was a single ride with accurate an accurate queue time which made it really difficult to plan our day. Is this a normal occurrence or was I just unlucky on that particular day?

I'm not sure if anyone would know... I got tickets for the summer nights on friday 2nd august, which gates open at 7 and rides 7.30... I am also planning to go in the day, and seen that the park closes at 7. so how do thorpe park know who to let on the rollercoasters after 7.30 etc. if I am already in the park? and as you don't have to pay for parking for the summer event, if I stay there all day and for the summer nights thing I don't have to pay for parking. so confused. any help would be grateful, thanks.

  18. Hi guys So my Merlin Annual Pass is up for renewal next month. I found out it will cost £111.something to renew for the year. Now, having had the pass nearly a year I've been to Thorpe about 15 times and once to Chessington. Bit of background - I work during the week and always go to Thorpe then and take a day's holiday as I have a quite a few to use up. I have a little girl who is 2 next month and only 90cm tall and a husband that hates theme parks. This is why I go to Thorpe with a mate during the week when a) its quieter and my little girl is in nursery when I'm at work or taking days off. Now I don't tend to use other London attractiions as I work in London a…

Hi, I'm going to Thorpe tomorrow with my brother. We've been to Alton Towers a fair few times but he's bored of there so wanted to go to Thorpe. We're going on a Sunday because I read in a few places that it's generally quieter than Saturdays. However with the weather and school holidays I expect it to be busy so looking for any tips to get as many rides as possible! Am I right that there are no SRQs and they push fastrack quite hard? We object to the idea of fastrack so will avoid it. At Alton it's fairly predictable which rides will be busy early morning/quiet late in the day etc. Are there any rides at Thorpe which stay busy all day? Recommendations for rides to get…

  20. Hello, first of all I am Spanish, so sorry for my bad English I'm planning to visit Thorpe park on June, I can go from the 6th of june to the 11th, I don't matter when, but I have read that maybe in june, in week days there are a lot of school trips... is it true? Maybe it's better to go on Sunday, for example? I want to wait the less ques as possible. Thank you very much.

  21. Hey guys, I am visiting thorpe in 13 days and just have a question about which rides let you take off your shoes etc. I understand that the flat rides like samurai, vortex, rush and detonator allow shoes off but are there any other rides which allow you to do this? Many thanks

  22. Started by Faethe,

Hi I'm a manual wheelchair user planning to visit Thorpe Park for the first time in a couple of weeks. What is the access like around the site? I.e. how hilly is it? are the rides far apart? I've been to Alton Towers a couple of times and I think their ride access passes are the same aren't they? The website says that the ride access pass is issued to anyone with medical evidence of why they can't queue. Are any of the queue line areas wheelchair accessible? Because I can queue like anyone else if I can fit in the place where you're meant to queue, and it doesn't take me up steps etc... If the queue areas aren't accessible then presumably evidence that I have to use a…

  23. Hi, I went to Thorpe park with a friend in the Easter holidays, and because it was so cold we get to go again! When we went, he went on some rides, but not on others. I know that he will love it if he goes on, but I'm not sure how to persuade him... Thanks
