September 13, 201212 yr comment_141150 Yes it has finished. I'd say that the volume of people at the park, a few of whom I spoke to during the long queues said they were using the free sun tickets
September 15, 201212 yr comment_141229 Another moderately busy day yesterday. Whilst slightly annoying, It's somewhat of a relief to see things are finally back on track as far as gate figures go. Hopefully its enough to compensate for the weak early summer period. Definitely something to do with the Olympics in my opinion. People were probably putting off their visits until it was all over.
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141377 Went today, dissapointed that there was no Stealth, Colossus, Samurai or Slammer but luckily the park wasn't too busy considering 4 good rides were out of use. Total ride count: Swarm 2, Inferno 2, Saw 2, Loggers, Rumba, Detonator, Flying Fish, X, Zodiac, Quantum, Rush, Vortex

That really is a very poor show Thorpe... Gone slightly off topic however :-s
September 18, 201212 yr Author comment_141381 THOSE DARN INTAMINS AGAIN I love the end of season Thorpe unravel actually. Without fail each season.
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141382 No stealth or Colossus for the whole day? That really is a very poor show Thorpe... Gone slightly off topic however :-s I think Stealth had 1, maybe 2 runs today, nothing from Colossus. Wasn't too busy though if people are looking to go and get a few more rides packed in than usual - if they are open!
September 21, 201212 yr comment_141506 Likely to be busy on Wednesday? Usually it isn't this time of year, but with the Sun offer running, the number of rides that appear to be struggling and reports on Thorpe's Facebook page of 90 minute queues this week, I'm starting to worry my visit next week won't be the walk-on-fest I was hoping.
September 21, 201212 yr comment_141521 I'm going on monday! PLEEASSEE ALL BE WORKING and don't be busy! Anyone been this week?
September 22, 201212 yr comment_141528 Why is Thorpe so busy? Went to Alton on wednesday and it was empty despite being the busiest day of the week?
September 22, 201212 yr Author comment_141537 Why is Thorpe so busy? Went to Alton on wednesday and it was empty despite being the busiest day of the week? You know when you are playing RCT2 and you put a no entry sign at the exit so no one can leave.. Yeah that.
September 23, 201212 yr comment_141600 Monday - thoughts? Weather will be average - most unis have gone back? But will it be busy?
October 4, 201212 yr comment_141991 Any ideas how busy this Sunday might be? I'm guessing, being a weekend, it's likely to be pretty packed... As I've not done The Swarm yet though, as long as I get to do that once or twice, I'll be happy. Any tips for the weekend - I'm assuming as long as I hit The Swarm first, it'll be all good?
October 4, 201212 yr comment_141992 It was pretty busy last weekend and both days were extended till 6pm, alot of it depends on the weather and what not!
October 4, 201212 yr comment_141994 As long as you hit swarm first you'll be okay, advisory to hit stealth afterwards as that gets pretty busy from 10:30 onward then head over to Colossus (if open) and SAW - The Ride.
October 5, 201212 yr comment_142002 Thanks guys. We're going to be getting the 950 shuttle bus to/from Staines station, which I believe stops running about 40 minutes after the park shuts. If the park hours get extended until 6pm, does the shuttle bus stop time change to reflect that? Also, how do you find out when the park hours are extended?

Yes the shuttle bus times will reflect extended opening hours. The service operates until 30 minutes after closing not 40. You can find out by Information Boards which will display ride closing times, and will have a message to indicate an extended oepning hours
October 7, 201212 yr comment_142122 How busy will it be on Tuesday? Shouldn't be too busy really being during the week and a lot of people will be saving their trips until Fright Nights, adding in the bad weather recently too. It shouldn't be too bad

Just back from the park now, and had a really good day out - much better than the other time I went when the park was packed! The park was really quiet today. After the initial morning rush, The Swarm had a maximum queue line of 10 minutes, Stealth and Nemesis: Inferno were max 20 minutes all day, and SAW peaked at 30 minutes. Longest queue of the day was Colossus at about 40 minutes. We managed to do The Swarm 6 times, SAW twice and Stealth, Nemesis: Inferno, Colossus, Rush, Storm Surge, Rumba Rapids, Detonator and X No Way Out once each - very successful day!

October 7, 201212 yr comment_142148 Bad weather and a weekday should be quiet, but if Colossus, Stealth and The Swarm are on one train operation, there will be 40 min queues for those rides. *Fingers crossed this wont be the case*

I thought Colossus had been closed for the past few days (according to the site ticker anyway)? We're going tomorrow so hopefully it will be open :-)

We're going tomorrow so hopefully it will be open :-) Not sure, but it was running yesterday all day with 2 trains. The only things which were closed were Slammer, Slammer and that weird Neptune's beach thing at the front. Oh, and SAW Alive - which I'm led to believe is now only operated over Fright Nights? If true, that's very poor show.
