Posted January 5, 201411 yr comment_174170 What is your opinion on Ghost Trains? Personally I love them! My favourites are Hinzen's haunted mansion that is from holland but comes to winter wonderland and Horror Hotel at Brighton pier. I think a ride like the haunted mansion would be good to replace SAW alive cause it's a unique ghost train in the fact that it's suspended
January 5, 201411 yr comment_174183 I really enjoy ghost trains that are done well (BPB's one, Terror Castle at Brean etc) but funfair ones with virtually nothing in them leave a sour taste in my mouth. Overall I'm a big fan of them though!
January 5, 201411 yr comment_174192 Dark rides such as these really need to start making a big comeback in the UK theme park industry, when done right they can be exceptional thrilling fun
January 5, 201411 yr comment_174200 If ghost trains are executed well then I will generally enjoy them. However, the general funfair ghost trains are almost empty and are just awful. But I heard the one at brean was good so if they are like that then I certainly don't have anything against them...
January 6, 201411 yr comment_174216 Would be great if Thorpe got a decent dark ride - especially as they are now targeting families. Wicked witches haunt was really good and such a shame that it burnt down. I haven't been on many ghost trains so am far from an expert but I really enjoyed the one at Adventure Island - probably because I had really low expectations of it, with it being a fun fair type place. But it really surprised me - also it had the longest queue that I saw in the park that day!
January 7, 201411 yr Author comment_174299 To those that know of winter wonderland the Haunted Mansion owned by family Hinzen of holland is probably the best funfair one there is. It has decent scares and sometimes has actors!
January 7, 201411 yr Author comment_174308 As it's my favourite ride I thought I might start a topic on it! Has anyone been on Rock Rage before? if you don't know what it is this is it : http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QN7rS7ytIE4

Has anyone been on Rock Rage before? if you don't know what it is this is it : That's a mobile link so I'm not sure if it will work on many computers... Anyway, yes I have been on rock rage and if is superb That one should work... I know it's a diff vid but I'm just using your great vid instead of the one you loaded up
January 7, 201411 yr comment_174315 I went on Rock Rage about 16 months ago and thought it was pretty average! For what it was seemingly capable of, it seemed very lacklustre.
January 7, 201411 yr comment_174319 Am I right in thinking that "Ski Jump" at Winter Wonderland was a similar thing? - Never got to ride it but it looked quite good, though I am a bit iffy at times with things that spin

I went on Rock Rage about 16 months ago and thought it was pretty average! For what it was seemingly capable of, it seemed very lacklustre. Where did you go on it? It sometimes depends on where you go on it as at funparks the cars aren't flipped very much and stick a lot. Also, if the ride is busy, the cars again sticks and you get a very short cycle. When I have been on it recently, I had a great cycle where my car flipped loads and I just really love the ride- especially when it goes all the way over
January 7, 201411 yr comment_174429 I'm not going to lie, it looks like a smaller version of Danter's Air.
January 7, 201411 yr Author comment_174434 My rides on it at Goose Fair and winter Wonderland were both mental! It's different to danters air the arm swings faster and the seats flip a lot more violently!
February 17, 201411 yr Author comment_176666 Has anyone been on a Extreme/Orbiter ride? What did you think? here is a video of my local Extreme on it's debut to the Goose Fair last year!
February 17, 201411 yr comment_176674 Yes, it comes to Loughborough funfair every year. Once it gets up to full speed its just insane, then they through the strobe lighting at you to make it even more mental. Bit of a ball crusher as well.
February 17, 201411 yr comment_176747 I love them... Funderworld (Bristol), and Bristol Balloon Fiesta!
February 17, 201411 yr Author comment_176751 Parrish extreme comes to the bristol balloon fiesta! It depends on what extreme you go on some are operated really well and some can be total rubbish -.-
February 18, 201411 yr comment_176753 As per my profile one of these beauties is what really kick started my ride obsession. I love them and think it is a real shame the rides like these as fillers are so rare in theme parks. I know not everyone round these part would agree with me but not everything in a static park has to be unique or new or even heavily themed, just being fun is enough, and these certainly are.
February 18, 201411 yr comment_176771 The best one I've been on was an extreme down Plymouth for the fair at the national firework competition... I'm sure it lifted at a higher angle than others, and went backwards as well!?
February 18, 201411 yr comment_176824 Fantastic rides, I love them! The speed they reach towards the end of the cycle doesn't half have a kick to it, very unique experience & as Pluk said, it's a shame our parks don't have more unique thrill rides like this (they have good capacity too, 36), if one were to ever be themed I'm sure it'd complement X-Sector well with an industrial look. I'm quite happy with the ones on our fair circuit at the mo though, they're all brilliant.
February 19, 201411 yr Author comment_176831 I think if you put a extreme where Samurai is it would look awesome and it could be themed to SAW as well!
February 21, 201411 yr Author comment_176963 Fabbri have made a brand new ride which will be going to spain this year. It looks like a portable version of their dragon claw ride
February 21, 201411 yr comment_177002 I've been on one smaller than this in Gt Yarmouth. It had only a lap bar, but was very fun!
