January 11, 20169 yr comment_225936 he is going to try to make somebody believe that they have pushed somebody off a roof or something. I don't think any analysis in comparison to this ride is justified in any sense. Agreed it's not justified, won't stop people speculating though.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225941 He may not be the all out creator, but he's a smart man. He wouldn't put his name to something that he didn't think they could pull off. If anything the contract he signed was probably a lot like the one that lionsgate supposedly signed, where it was agreed the majority of effects must be maintained and active. And that's a good thing. By Merlin's standards Saw has some of the most consistent an well maintained effects in the country. Then compare it to the smiler where the projectors didn't last a whole season, the mist on the first drop disappeared quickly, and half the marmaliser is already broke. I think this is more than him just slapping his name on a ready-made ride. It just isn't his style...
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225943 Derren's main illusion designer, Paul Kieve, is involved creating illusions for the ride. I've known him for a few years and he's a true talent who's created some of the most amazing illusions I've ever seen.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225945 Did Dynamic Attractions just give the game away? Call me speculative, but the artwork used on their IAAPA booth look rather curious... (note the clockwork gears and pocket watch)
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225946 Jart, this does look like it could be for the ride and if it is then we've got Dynamic Attractions.(gasps with excitement) However, I don't think it would have been given away this easily. As previously mentioned, an agreement would have been made to keep things secret. EDIT: Jart, you have this incredible ability to pop up when we need you! Thanks.

Why thanks Oh look, is that a mystery Dynamic Attractions project for 2016? http://www.dynamicattractions.com/adventures/robotic-track/
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225948 Why thanks Oh look, is that a mystery Dynamic Attractions project for 2016? http://www.dynamicattractions.com/adventures/robotic-track/ If this is the ride type, wouldn't the throughput be horrific? There are 4 seats per ride. Although, the other picture with the gears and the clocks look very much like they could be to do with the ride.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225950 On Dynamic Attractions website... The throughput would be bad and the ride building looks relatively small to fit it in.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225952 Oh exciting.... This Dora the Brown ride should be good then.....
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225953 Why would the througput be bad? Forbidden journey is omnimover style, this could be that too.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225954 Excuse the phone screenshot, but exciting stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225956 Wait, what? You mean we're not getting a Darude Dark Ride themed around a Sandstorm? The throughput of that Robotic Arm Ride would be fine given a suitable number of cars. It looks like it'd be pretty awesome, but I don't think that's what this'll be. Would love to be proven wrong though.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225961 Did Dynamic Attractions just give the game away? Call me speculative, but the artwork used on their IAAPA booth look rather curious... (note the clockwork gears and pocket watch) Well MattyMoo is going to just love this Jart appearance. I'd cautiously say those images are startlingly similar to what we've seen for this attraction, and if it were to be this from Dynamic I'd be ecstatic, and shocked. The tower on the left depicts the development at Ferrari World, anyone know if this has a cog based theme? Anyone know what the images on the right hand tower are from and if the pocket watch relates to whatever hat is in any way?
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225962 The tower on the left isn't purely about Ferrari World. It depicts the flying theatre too. Anyway, I don't think the right tower is to do with any particular ride. It just looks like construction of various attractions. I believe The SFX coaster is themed around being inside a Ferrari engine and the specific parts that make the car. So cogs would certainly fit with the theme.
January 11, 20169 yr comment_225971 If this is what Thorpe Park are building, then humble pie I shall happily eat! I see people's point though, is the building big enough for this? though I suppose they could employ the same thing they do on transformers, and use one large screen for 4 different scenes, a quarter each. I am reservedly optimistic for the first time, but that Dynamic Attractions booth does look very similar, but could be a red herring.
January 12, 20169 yr comment_226011 Blimey! I was hopeful we may see an attraction using robot arms at Thorpe or AT at some point in the future, but I've always remained pessimistic! Keeping everything crossed. It seems right now somehow.
January 12, 20169 yr comment_226020 Perhaps the second generation has been designed to fit into smaller, tighter spaces. Can they really market it as the world's first second generation robot arm ride though!? Once again, I hope this is what is going into Thorpe, but I am really not holding my breath.
January 12, 20169 yr comment_226022 I for one am excited about this, as we still don't know much about it the speculation has definitely kept me entertained during this closed season. His show's on tonight and even know it'll unlikely have anything to do with this it'll still be an interesting watch! Let the speculation game begin
January 12, 20169 yr comment_226029 Tbh I not sure about this type of ride and if we're actually getting one. Considering how secretive Thorpe are being I doubt they would let it go that easily
January 12, 20169 yr comment_226039 Well MattyMoo is going to just love this Jart appearance. You know me too well. To be honest, I'm surprised Jart didn't come on here and tell us that Air was being rebranded as Galactic ahead of any official word.
January 12, 20169 yr comment_226040 Is anyone else watching Pushed to The Edge tonight?? Gonna be interesting how he's gonna convince someone to push another person of a roof.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

January 12, 20169 yr comment_226043 His show tonight was brilliant, my whole family watched and were so entertained!! Believe what you want to believe from his shows, but overall he is an amazing entertainer and really gets you hooked. Banana anecdote... Kept an eye out for anything that could be wc16 related but nothing stood out (the speculation game is still on though)
