Posted January 16, 20187 yr comment_255278 Surprised we don't have a thread for this yet... To kick this thread off (since opening times are being talked about elsewhere), it has been revealed that, as expected, the Annual Pass Day this year will be on Sunday 18th March. Yay. Use this thread for any discussion of the 2018 season generally (shock horror!)...

I'm sure that when they do release them they'll give a warning a couple of days before. 9 minutes ago, Kerfuffle said: Still haven't heard from Towers regarding preview dates and that's all I'm interested in for now. Are Towers doing a preview day this year? They don't normally do Annual Pass previews, only staff and John Lewis usually.

February 21, 20187 yr Author comment_256066 There'll also be no Fastrack sold on the AP day. In other news, parking now costs £7 per car this season.

February 21, 20187 yr Author comment_256070 Fastrack is there for hotel guests, but that's only till 11am as per normal. And the VIP holders will have little impact Fastrack-wise.

The VIP holders are too busy in the marquee enjoying their free dinner buffet and what have you to really bother with the rides. On these days there's usually quite a lot about, but you don't really notice them..
February 21, 20187 yr comment_256089 Have they brought back the car parking staff to justify the increase as I believe they were cut last season?
February 21, 20187 yr comment_256090 I was parked by staff the majorly of the time I visited last year.

February 21, 20187 yr comment_256094 I love rocking up at lunch time, slithering my way at speed through the stoney bit dodging bad parking and rude boys, to get onto the sweet sweet tarmac.

Same! And therefore not get stuck in a 45 minute queue trying to get to the barriers
February 22, 20187 yr comment_256103 Tickets for AP day were released at 10 and sold out by 10:20! Another batch will be out on the 24th. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/2018-pre-season-day-at-thorpe-park-resort-tickets-43025616778 This is also a nice little touch Quote Also, for one-time-only, join us in the marquee throughout the day for eXpo:\2018 – a celebration of the iconic X coaster! This unique event is exclusive to Annual Passholders and is the perfect chance to bid farewell to the coaster in its current form, as well as getting a sneak peek of what’s to come in 2018. Check out guest speakers, including Lead Creative John Burton, take advantage of rare photo opportunities and bask in the nostalgia of this awesome attraction. PLUS don’t forget to grab your limited edition pop badge to mark the occasion, available on a first come first served basis!
February 22, 20187 yr comment_256104 John Burton, from 15 out of 10 on scare scale fame? That’ll be fun ?
February 22, 20187 yr comment_256105 Wonder how many of the pop badges will be on Ebay next day......
