paige
I think that Shoutbox should either be moved back onto the homepage or you should get a little notification-type thing which says how many shouts have been made; similar to the red marker which says how many people are on chat or how many messages and notifications you have- as it just seems to be a bit of a pointless feature now as noone really uses it. Kerfuffle
...otherwise, just rename it to the Silentbox
kinnaird
The like button is very cartoony I like the old one
Coaster
Is the Shoutbox coming back?
paige
It does actually still exist haha, it's got it's own tab but noone seems to bother going on it anymore, bar CoasterDude. Altitude, Kerfuffle and Coaster
Coaster
Just found it, didn't know that!
Olistjj
I dont know if its possible but I think it'd be good if you were able to choose which threads you see, for instance I never read the Chessington one and I always just press the read button so on mobile the blue symbol goes. So rather than do this it would be good if I could just get rid of it so I don't have to see it. Other than that the forums at the moment are pretty sweet! paige
Is there a way to make the links shared in posts automatically open in a new tab? As it's a bit of a pain on a laptop and sometimes I don't think and end up losing my place in the thread I have been reading. Mer
It's probably in your browser settings
Smidget
Failing that right click and "open in new tab". Kerfuffle
paige
No I do do that, but I was wondering if there was any way in which it could just open in a new tab automatically, as I'm lazy.
kinnaird
middle mouce button does it as well
paige
I am also aware of that but my main point was that it's awkward on laptops etc.

paige
Huh, never knew you could do that, thanks Matt for encouraging me in my lazy tendencies. pognoi and Kerfuffle
pluk
So I'm having a little tidy and reorganisation of the off topic section, trying to make it a bit more user friendly. Firstly, sorry if goes a bit all over the place while I do it. Secondly, any feedback or ideas around it are always welcome. Thanks!
JoshC.
I'm liking the look of things so far. One thing I'd change though is the Site Adverts bit; doesn't really fit in the 'Site News' subforum really. Stick it in 'Stuff' or 'Nonsense'; makes more sense that way! pluk
pluk
Thanks for that, I didn't know where to put it but didn't mean to leave it there! JoshC.
Kerfuffle
Can't the Shoutbox go back to where it started? Hardly anyone uses it anymore!
Altitude
Is it possible to show when people have edited posts after the next person has posted, like on other forums? Like "edited by _____, at 16:45 on 24/8/09"? It works on other forums so people can't subtly add things to posts to make other people look silly! Kerfuffle
^ I think that can be altered in your profile's settings?
Altitude
^ Ah, I didn't know that! I meant make it enforced for everyone though
paige
I believe on some forums you can only edit posts within half an hour of posting it or something. I only edit mine to correct my spelling and grammar really, but I have seen some edit their posts to cover their behinds. pognoi and Altitude
InfernoMartin
Didn't know where to post this, but will do I guess. Today each time I try to go into the chat room I get this error: 'The chat room key has expired. Please notify the administrator.' I don't know if its just me getting this error or not, but it just wont work for me anyways. EDIT: Is now working again!
