May 2, 201312 yr comment_158108 Transportation to the park would depend on how much faff you want to do... Booking a shuttle would be painless but expensive... Buses/Trains/etc would be painful but cheap... Europa themselves say: Fly to the Aéroport International Strasbourg and from there use the shuttle train to reach the main railway station in Strasburg. From there, take the train to reach Offenburg railway station. Continue your journey by regional train to Ringsheim railway station and, by bus transfer, to Europa-Park (see TGOKombikarte (combined ticket) Europa-Park). To find out more and for booking information visit www.strasbourg.aeroport.fr

Buses/Trains/etc would be painful but cheap... Europa themselves say: Train is the best way from Strasbourg in my opinion. You need to be warey though, when I went three years ago you have to to buy one ticket from Strasbourg to Offenburg and then when you are there you buy the next ticket to Ringsheim. You can't buy a single ticket from Strasbourg to Ringsheim.
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158944 Sorting out how much money to take etc. People that have been before, is stuff on park expensive in comparison to Merlin parks? I mean food, merchandise, ride photos etc etc. Any help would be appreciated!
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158954 No more expensive than over here really... But then for the most part the stuff is slightly better quality... Take a few hundred...
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158959 Just imagine if Merlin spent the money on Thorpe, it could too be like Europa Park

May 14, 201312 yr comment_158965 Any park could be like Europa park depending how much money is put into it to be fair!
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158967 Thorpe's probably had about £80 million invested since the turn of the century. It's where the money is spent that would make the difference, not the amount thrown at it.
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158968 And to the majority of its guests Thorpe is a very decent park... And are europa not owned by Mack anyway? So I'm sure they get a "good deal" on the majority of their rides and enable them to spend the rest on other things!
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158970 Indeed Europa are run by Mack, but for me, the real clincher is how they treat guests, with a fantastic viewpoint on throughputs, and the overall feel and cleanliness of the park... They also have something for everyone, and it's not just the rides that are the focus, the shows, the vibes, the look of the park are what set it apart from the majority... In reality, they only have a few 'quality' coasters out of the 11, but they are perfect for their guests... But for those who don't like big rides, there are walkthroughs, hidden dark rides and of course the shows... They just seem to know what people want from the park, hence why their 5 hotels have a 98% occupancy rate, meaning they need a 6th hotel to be built...
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158974 In Thorpe's defence, they're going in a complete different direction to Europa, aiming at a different target audience. It's Towers on the other hand that need to take a look at Europa and improve drastically if they want to be one of the top theme park destinations in Europe.
June 13, 201312 yr comment_160694 As I'm going for my first time in august, what are the best rides to start with and which are the best to ride just before closing, just so I can plan my day! Thanks
June 13, 201312 yr comment_160695 Best ride to start with - Blue Fire Best ride to do second - Blue Fire Best ride to do before lunch - Blue Fire Best ride to do after lunch - Blue Fire Best ride to do before park close - Whale Adventures, then Blue Fire Hope this helps...
June 13, 201312 yr comment_160700 I guess you could ride Abenteur in between the constant Blue Fire riding then...
June 13, 201312 yr comment_160711 Benin I would but my sister might get bored lol Very unlikely. Very, very unlikely.
June 13, 201312 yr comment_160713 Well are there any others APART from Blue Fire that are good to go on, on the day?
June 13, 201312 yr comment_160716 Sure, I'll list a few *ahem* Silver Star, Euro-Sat, Euro-Mir, Wodan, Whale Adventure, Poseidon, Pegsasus, Scweizzer Bobbahn, Matterhorn Blitz, Cassandras Curse, Universe of Energy, River Rapids, Alpine Express, Silver River Log Flume, Vindjammer are just a few that you should ride during your day. Queues are something that are non existant at Europa. Just visit and enjoy the magic of high through put, fantastic rides.

July 16, 201312 yr comment_163347 So Europa are all like, you know what we really need? A virtual pop band based off the characters in the park... They started that last year with a collab with some random bloke (probably famous on the continent) but now Rustis are going forward... For the serious amongst us, the following link is a Swiss article about Europa and the Mack's in general, which is quite interesting and it proves their knowledge of the industry and why their park is quite frankly the best in Europe... http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zeit.de%2F2013%2F28%2Feuropa-park-rust-schweizer%2Fseite-1
