pognoi
Chiapas looks great! That last drop is ridiculous. You must fly into that final splash! Have you guys heard phantasias next ride plan? They want to build a gigantic B&M flyer. In. The. Middle. Of. The. Park. Where is the space coming from?!
pluk
Love the disco cave. EC! and OldFarmerDean

They want to build a gigantic B&M flyer. In. The. Middle. Of. The. Park. Where is the space coming from?! If this is happening, then the removal of Silver Mine (the old dark ride of looooong) will go a long way into creating the space... I think with Chiapas, I expected more dark ride stuff... As fab as the disco cave is, it really wasn't what I was expecting to see... But nothing hurt for a ride to have a very light-hearted take on matters, especially given the park's themes being rather dark (and Talocan already existing in the Mexican area)... I look forward to returning to the park this year, especially with Maus au Chocolat on the menu too... pognoi

pluk
That looks to me to be one of the best log flumes ever created.
JoshC.
Looks really good; loving the look of the final drop and the audio throughout seems pretty cool. Still don't really get the point of having a backwards section to the ride though; feels so pointless!
pluk
I love a bit of backwards, but on top of that I think it is a bit of necessity in the design for the footprint they've built it on. They wouldn't be able to actually squeeze in a corner, it's the only way of getting the boat travelling where it needs to!
Coaster
That looks absolutely amazing, as a big Valhalla fan I'd love to go on that! There aren't as many dark sections as I was expecting though. c1hrisin
EC!
I think a few have said about it not having enough dark bits but then they only have limited space so that is the best they can do, its a good type of best though
Benin
Talking of the park making space... Silver Mine is dead...
EC!
I'm guessing that ride wasn't popular then... So I'm also guessing they will be putting a ride there, something that blends in well with mystery castle.
GladiatorFanKyle
I noticed on a picture I saw of the new water ride's station that the ride has restraints as there was a sign that said please pull your safety bars down.
Benin
IMAScore did the music for Chiapas, and the soundtrack is purchasable at the park... Will go nicely with my Winja's CD... Can't tell on the restraint front, might be like Dudley Do-Right is now perhaps?
Tom
I pray it isn't; always found Dudley a nightmare to get in and out.
pluk
Whatever they are they can't be too restrictive or they wouldn't need the no standing signs in the boats.
GladiatorFanKyle
I saw a video of the new log flume earlier and all the restraint is a small bar which you pull towards you which I guess they are there for that insane drop cause I bet you probably get some good airtime on it. If this is happening, then the removal of Silver Mine (the old dark ride of looooong) will go a long way into creating the space... . The initial plans from the flyer began in 2005/6, and actuall incorporated the african tower of black mamba. To be honest the designer must have been insane, because it would have taken up all the mine train space, or where Chiapas currently is. However, I also reckon that the flyer plans could have been an initial design for Black Mamba, or could be following through now. In the picture, I see a small crystal like tower with a pretzel loop coming out of the side of it. Seeing as it's a while since PHL has had a proper rollercoaster, maybe they'll be developing one now, knowing their history to take time on things (but that is of course accepted as they have huge, amazing extensive theming). TPJames
Never been to this park but would like to, it looks very detailed and well themed despite not being very big. Still has some nice attractions by the looks of things though. Was just having a look at videos of talocan and it honestly looks amazing, the theming is excellent and the water and the fire effects are brilliant. It is of a really high standard like the rest of the rides in the park, wish merlin could have this standard of quality! c1hrisin
That ride is almost more of a performance than a ride. Even if ramesis is more intense I'd take that with theming any day!
Benin
Most Top Spins are more performance than actually being a good ride... Still, riding it tomorrow... So excite <
BenC
Talocan is sublime - certainly the most impressive flat I've ever ridden. Wonder how much it costs to run..? If Phantasialand's expansion plans get the green light (and it continues with the level of detail and themeing to date), it will grow into a truly world-class Park over the next 20 years. pognoi
Yes talocan is one of the best experiences ever... Facing the front. On the back you choke to death in smoke and just see walls, but its still quite fun. BenC
