Matt 236
I don't want to judge or expect anything from this just yet, but this could be something special. At least for the UK.
JoshuaA
I do have to give credit to Blackpool for making these great investments and not giving us cheap short lived investments like Thorpe are pumping out right now.. I rode Skyforce a year so ago and overall I feel like its a quality and very re-rideable flat ride and Icon is going to be awesome from the looks of it! Despite my utter despise for Infusion, I think Blackpool next year will perhaps be on par with Alton (if not better) and easily better than gimmick island. Coaster
BPB posted a (not quite) 360 degree image of Icon today, here's a few screenshots; Source: https://www.facebook.com/blackpoolpleasurebeach/ Also there's an article with a few more photos here; https://bdaily.co.uk/articles/2017/12/14/take-a-look-at-blackpool-pleasure-beach-s-new-16-25m-rollercoaster It's crazy how they've had to build the support structure for the Immelman! JoshC.
Seeing track installed and in greater chunks is making me warm to the colour scheme a bit more which is good. Nothing else to say other than it's looking great!

Mega-Lite
Is it just the way the pictures are taken or is that Immelmann non inverting? Doesn't matter, either way will be great, just curious.

Coaster
It is classed as an inversion, albeit very brief. Another image has been posted online today by Amanda Thompson on Twitter; https://twitter.com/MandsThompson The presence this thing has in the area is insane, looks so good! CharlieN
It looks terrific - the only 2018 project that’s really exciting me. I really must get up to Blackpool next year. And as for that Immelmann, it’s certainly quirky...
Mega-Lite
I've got to admit the realisation that the Immelmann is non inverting has once again improved this coaster. It's changed from an inversion for the sake of an inversion, into something much more silly, I love it!
JoshC.
Have some Mack goodness, courtesy of the park themselves...

Coaster
Really nice to see Pleasure Beach taking care of their Derby Racer organ.

Coaster
I'm very sorry and absolutely distraught to have to say that the Wild Mouse has been demolished. 1958 - 2017 CharlieN, alexander and JoshuaA
Mark9
NOOOO! (If True) then this is very sad news. I loved that ride.
JoshuaA
Shocking. I guess it might of been hard to maintain and its probably run its course but its such a classic I never thought we'd see it gone this early. I'm gonna miss it so bad next season, its just such a crazy and insane ride that leaves you with the "WTF?" feeling after every ride. RIP
Coaster
I can't express how upset I am, Wild Mouse was an absolutely incredible coaster, completely unique and a credit to the UK industry. It also means that; Pleasure Beach lose their title of the most wooden coasters in the world Pleasure Beach no longer have the most roller coasters in the UK Picture source: https://www.facebook.com/Themeparklogic/ In addition, I am extremely disappointed by the way Pleasure Beach have handled the closure. In my opinion, an announcement should have been made after it was demolished, it's much worse that this has come from people finding out in other ways rather than the park officially announcing it. Shows that they don't care
Marc
Was there not rumours of this happening a few years ago too? Pretty stunned they removed it without at least some kind of announcement :s Coaster
Mattgwise
Is it definitely "demolished" maybe, just maybe it was dismantled as a lot needed doing and we could see it put back? I know I am wrong, but can hope! Surely a small chance. What makes it even worse was it was about to be celebrating it's 60th birthday this year!!! Marhelorpe
Would've thought considering Icon is going to attract a fair number of guests to BPB this year the park intended to keep this open a little longer. Given I've heard great things about this coaster and 2018 will be my first visit to the park, this is gutting. Coaster
Matt 236
So it looks like the Mouse has now (finally) closed indefinitely Very sad to hear this. I get the impression the park aren’t fully to blame on it’s closure as I’ve heard stories on the difficulty insuring the ride due to safety measures. Apparently Dipper, Grand National and Flyer are listed (with the Ark building and Flying Machines) but the Mouse isn’t.
