I think I remember hearing the licensing for imascore stuff is a lot simpler in the way that they pay for it and that’s that (but I could be wrong)

I’m sure they do still have the rights to the imascore stuff seeing as they still seem to have a continued relationship with them

Inferno is down for unplanned maintenance according to Thorpe Park themselves. Possibly a lift hill issue, people are speculating.

Inferno was absolutely flying when we rode in May, ruddy fantastic couple of rides!

For how long?!?! I’m going on the 22nd and don’t want it to be closed then! Haven’t got on inferno yet this season

As long as it takes I guess. Depends on what the issue is.

Sorry for the double post…

Seems like inferno is opening tomorrow though, can’t have been a massive issue with it then.

Also it triggers me that the park itself are calling nemesis inferno just nemesis, it’s not right in my opinion…

Right thorpe were quite obviously wrong with that comment...

Do we actually have any idea what is wrong with Inferno and if they will fix it anytime soon?

I wonder if this is going to end up in a situation similar to Colossus...

Not heard anything about that. Definitely hoping it’s not.

Got a good view of the ride on detonator on thursday. There were no ladders or anything around the track, transfer track was off to the side though; maybe an issue with one of the trains? We’ve had no communication from the park so it could be anything being honest.

Rumors of a track issue?

I don’t know if anyone can confirm, but if it is. Won’t be open for ages

Pretty sure someone in the passholder group mentioned this and the park didn't confirm nor deny, just that they couldn't confirm the specifics - not that they would if this was the case anyway, I'm sure they'll want to avoid the mass hysteria from the general public.

The apparent rumour, I know the source is : trust me bro but it’s been said a few times now.

I don’t know how common something like this, but it’s not good. I saw a ladder at the turn around near the lift hill which goes against the wall. (I’m not sure what it would be called)

I think the only worry is that they are still not giving is a date when it will reopen. With Colossus they at least said late spring, but for this it could be anywhere from it reopening next week to reopening in september some time.

Thorpe don't want rumours about cracked track spreading let's be honest. Merlin and general theme park safety reputation since Smiler and Drayton's Rapids has been a bug bear for the tabloids desperate to cover anything that isn't how ballsed the country is.

Just have to wait and see. But the only Nemesis open this year now is Sub Terra, which no one really expected.

Sorry but not sorry for double posting, but obviously, if there HAS been a crack found anywhere, there's no way on earth that Thorpe are going to say "Yes, Premium MAP holder, much beloved for supporting the Merlin empire with your hot dogs in Thermos flask, the track has massive ruddy crack in it, sorry fella"

Honestly it sounds something more like the chain lift snapped or something. Probably not that, but something critical and consumable would of failed inspection and needed a order from B&M which probably wasn't on the shelf.

Thus a lead time to make, ship from Switzerland, install, test and inspect.

Still if the ride is cycling then fingers crossed they have sorted it
