Marc
Is it not a RMC/ Tussauds ride.. kinda?
Fred
They no longer exist.. however you could apply that to vampire Arrow Dynamics.. so hmm. Screwed.
Theme Park bloke
Still scares me when it bumps in to the rock thoughI've never known it to do that. Which rock, any paticular rock on any particular part of the ride?Is it not a RMC/ Tussauds ride.. kinda? I think the ride was installed by the Pearson Group, and is an original ride from when the first park opened - am I right?
Fred
Pearson owned tussauds group, and rumba was built when thorpe park was very much owned by ready mix concrete!
furiouspanda
Anyone noticed how the queue line lizard has moved this year? It's alive!
Paul
I love the ride! . It is a great water ride, and I expecially love the tunnel part with the purple fountain! I also love the view of Stealth after exiting the tunnel. Does anyone know what I am referring to when I say that I love the sound effects in the tunnel, the sort of popping and strange whistle noises? I love them and everytime I hear anything similar, I think of Rumba Rapids! And no, I havn't seen the queueline this year. I will take a look soon. TimR
Rumba is very quirky, which I love, although I would love it if they could get the shower working and its great how they have added a fastrack queue line, as it can get very busy on summer days, anyone know what the throughput per hour is on this? noob230
Where will the new fastrack queue line be?will Thorpe make anew queue line?or will it be like X:\NWO were the fastrack queu is outside the pyramid?
Ryan
The main que is split in half I think.
Dan9
Where will the new fastrack queue line be?will Thorpe make anew queue line?or will it be like X:\NWO were the fastrack queu is outside the pyramid? The Fastrack queue line was put in last year, it is a red fence splitting the queue line in half, and nearer the turntable (before you go up the hill), the two queue lines join up again as the path then becomes too thin for both. So really Fastrack for Rumba Rapids is only something to use when the queue line is at the entrance, otherwise you're only saving about 10 minutes for yourself. Skunky
Rumba Rapids was open today having had a piece of work done on it. The Waterfall near the start has been completely taken out of it now and it is just an empty space where the rock used to be and waterfall. Johnny07
Hmmm thats odd. That waterfall was good when it was working.

Theme Park bloke
Waterfall - I'm struggling to think which one we're on about here although I'm sure I'll notice it tomorrow when I go, as I'll probably be somewhat drier when I come off the ride! Dan9
Waterfall - I'm struggling to think which one we're on about here although I'm sure I'll notice it tomorrow when I go, as I'll probably be somewhat drier when I come off the ride! You can easily tell which one has been removed. Firstly think of all the waterfalls on Rumba Rapids. Then you just need to see this...and it is just an empty space where the rock used to be and waterfall. And now you should be able to know which one we're on about. Daniel
You can see where the waterfall was located in these pictures:© Thorpe Park Mania 2009Also does anyone know why the waterfall has been removed and if it will make a return? James6
Just a guess but maybe for the same reasons as the power shower? But then again if that's the reason then you cant really have any water effects as there's always going to be people who stand up to avoid them, unless they added lap bars! James6
I thought that but in pictures I've seen it before last year I think. and I may be wrong but wasn't the rock itself always there, they just added the "water" part to it last year? TimR
That was only new last season wasn't it?It was there in 2007 but the water only worked at the start of the season.

Sheepie
It had been there since the start of Thunder River (I think). Used to be a waterfall back then, too. Then I didn't see it work again until 2007 (for about a month). Wasn't Rumba shut during the week? Maybe it was to remove this?
