July 12, 20169 yr comment_238389 So I've done a bit of research and the vehicles as it were seem alot like the vehicles featured in this show: http://m.imdb.com/title/tt5172468/ So not only are we getting yet another CBeebies ride but its on a show I've literally never even heard of until now.
July 12, 20169 yr comment_238390 That show has been running since last year so is a new show compared to when we'd have been watching CBeebies. So that's perfect, it's suited for the audience Towers are after, people currently watching the channel.
July 12, 20169 yr comment_238394 I'm shocked that a 12 year old doesn't know about a CBeebies show, SHOCKED I tell you!

July 13, 20169 yr comment_238408 In other news, Merlin and Towers have yet again proved their dedication to theming up areas of the park. Glad to see them keeping up appearances.
July 14, 20169 yr comment_238447 To be honest, i did walk past that bridge to see some child climb over the edge and drop onto the path underneath, which I thought was a bit on the dangerous side, but I am sure we should just ban the child rather than hide the universe behiind a fence.

July 16, 20169 yr comment_238557 Well at least the new ride will probably have a better throughput than Galactica.

July 25, 20169 yr comment_238904 Lots of "construction materials" lorries coming out of the car park today, anything to do with this perhaps?

July 27, 20169 yr comment_239039 I stand corrected. I'd heard that they werent allowed to start until the council had agreed the plans.

July 27, 20169 yr comment_239078 Pretty poor investment IMO. In recent years they have already invested in accommodation, also there in desperate need of Family rides/Flat Rides CBeebies Land is obviously very popular, but it seems like the park are investing in the polar opposite of what they need. What is they thrill flat ride lineup now? Enterprise, The Blade, (which is on its way out anyways)..

It's going by the other hotels The Birmingham Mail says it will sit amid CBeebies Land but then later it says it's going by the other hotels. We don't really know yet but judging by the noises I was hearing in Big Fun Showtime it could well be going there.
July 28, 20169 yr comment_239088 Just to dispell the confusion: The new cbeebies hotel is not going in CBeebies Land, it's behind The Alton Towers Hotel (next to the spa), with an entrance near the posh hobbit houses. These plans were aproved last year and are in construction as we speak. The name of it and the affiliation with CBeeBies was annonced this week. When the plans were originally submitted it was heavily rumored to be either a CBeebies hotel or a Lego one. plans -> http://publicaccess.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=84975 The plans for the Cbeebies expansion havent been aproved yet so can't be constructed. plans -> http://publicaccess.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=105655 There are no plans submitted to the council for any hotel within Cbeebies land. They would need planning permission to create any perminant structure in that area. http://www.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk/smdc-aurora So what was the construction you heard behind Big Time? It could be: a ) Repair work b ) Scarefest Construction c ) Towerstastic Summer construction d ) SWF Department (Alton Towers new Secret Weopon Fence scheme) But I can say with total confidence that it isn't them building a new hotel there.

A) There was nothing there before and a large construction fence around the area, which was near Tree Fu Tom, advertising CBeebies stuff in the main hotel. B ) Area seemed quite big, Id say too big for anything other than a scare maze which go in Towers C) I'm not sure, I didn't even know they did construction for that. D) It was all grass I'm pretty sure. Maybe it'll be the new ride?
July 28, 20169 yr comment_239090 Does the area cordoned off match the area on the plans? Regarding usage, I meant more that they could have cordoned off the area for the new expansion and be currently using that area for construction of things to go into other areas of the park. e.g. Scarefest wall panels or Towestastic Summer theming.
July 28, 20169 yr comment_239091 We didnt go in Tree Fu Tom so didn't see half of it, but the half we did see matches the long straight wall on the plans almost to a tee.
