RideAddict
Some great pictures of the merchandise on the Towers Nerd live page today, but this is one confusing clock!
Benin
That Corkscrew transition is VILE... Gerstlauer are the new Vekoma confirmed...
Luke_A
It's quite incredible really when you're in X-Sector and you look from where the 'knot' element is right up to the top of the site, this ride really is huge and has so much packed into it already from what has been constructed. It's totally gonna be my type of ride. Here's a little Vine I took showing The Smiler's site today. Link:>>>>> http://vine.co/v/bdExrvlP9A7 <<<<< Today a few more supports and track pieces went up as pics show... Also saw the construction workers lift one of the lifthill motors / assemblies onto site, which looked quite big. Looks like groundworks for where lift 2 is going is now also starting to progress a bit more. The 'Marmaliser' does seem to have screens on it. Something odd I noticed about the support structure going over the toilets, one of the supports actually partly cuts through the top of the roof, I do wonder if this was planned to have happened or not! (first pics below show this) Here's some other photo's from today that I got, I know most of the angles have already been seen haha but I thought I'd post these anyway. PS... There's a few noticeable large scratches on supports near the top of the site, let's hope these get touched up before it opens, which I'm sure they will; just saying. RideAddict
If they are scratched now then in a few years they probably will be by visitors!
Coaster
They are probably scratched because they have been left in a car park for months! I thought from day one that it was a strange decision to leave multi million coaster track outside where anyone could touch it etc.
MikeC
That toilet block roof worries me...
Benin
That toilet block roof worries me... Erm... Ok then... Care to explain this because I don't get why a support slightly cutting through a roof of another building is anything to care or worry about. Not difficult to ensure that the existing unmoveable building isn't affected by the actions of the ride supports (I.e. Vibration, stress, etc)... I look forward to seeing this with my own eyes today...
MikeC
It looks ridiculous and gives the impression that more priority is given to an outdated toilet block than a major world beating coaster. The original support work over the toilet block looked awkward anyway.
JoshC.
Personally, when I go to Towers later this season, I'm going to be awe-stricken by The Smiler. Don't think I'm going to be paying attention to a little bit of missing roof on a toilet block... RideAddict
MattyMoo
Is the toilet roof the next Loggers tunnel-gate?
Whiteknuckle
Is that a break run coming out the corkscrew in the foreground?
Luke_A
^ It is indeed, it's the brake run coming out of the corkscrew and into the second lift. These 2 above pics are from TowersTimes. http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/sw7/construction/ Another pic below from TowersNerd Live yesterday when the brake section was being lifted into place. http://live.towersnerd.com Whiteknuckle
Whiteknuckle
Construction is really coming along now. Thanks Luke
holtjammy16
The horseshoe roll part of the Knot element or whatever it's called looks sexy and the transition from the corkscrew into the break run looks like it'll be just as uncomfortable as the transition into SAW's final break run
JoshC.
Looks great. The whole comfort thing isn't a fear for me at the moment. The merch looks great as well. Seriously, fantastic stuff. I approve. My wallet, however, won't; the price of those clocks is £12..

TPGG
Which bit do you mean about the Corkscrew transition
SteveJ
I think it is very amusing. *SHOCK* In time it will become a funny little anomaly that people may notice, like so many others around the park...
Fred
As long as the toilets are still waterproof, that's all that matters. Smiler looks good.

Coaster
I think it will kill the adrenaline a bit braking the ride straight after a corksrew, but I won't knock it until I have ridden it! As for the whole ride, it looks great - but only if it has lapbars. With over the shoulder restraints I could see it easily becoming the most painful ride in the UK. (Ok, maybe not as bad as The Ultimate, although I still like that...)
