JoshuaA
Babadook is bae I did think Annabelle: Creation was decent though. Yes it did overly rely on jump scares towards the beginning, but I overall loved the second half when they explained the backstory of the doll, and I thought the acting (even the child acting) was brilliant. Babadook is a really hard target to beat though.. As its one of those movies thats doesn't even have any jump scares but still manages to get under your skin. I'm only scratching the surface of how good that film is.. Its films like The Babadook that reminds me that not all Horror movies are mindless gore torture porn fests.. Benin
The VVitch is one of the most over-rated pieces of boring tosh I've had the misfortune to see... Can someone who loves it please actually go into some actual depth of their own opinion as to why it's so good? TarinMaria
Death Note...If we can't respect the source material at all, why are we making a live action version of one of the best anime shows ever?None of the important plot points from the anime were used, only one character even resembled what he should have been like, and I'm talking about the way he acts, not the way he looks, I wasn't even remotely bothered about that. I'm not angry, just very, very disappointed.3/10 Cian and Whatever
JoshuaA
Just saw IT last night and I thought it was pretty decent.. The film is pretty relentless, and there isn't really a dull moment in the first half. I just think the film drags on for WAY to long at the end, and I think they could of decreased the use of cheap jump scares in some moments.. The trailer for Jigsaw though was something I have to mention. Never have I ever seen so much laughter in an cinema.. It looks like a great unintentional comedy.. I have to say I didint find IT scare nor were there many jumpy bits, which I think adds to the film rather than doing a paranormal.... Charlesberg
After having ridden Saw - The Ride numerous times (and having gone through Saw Alive once), I thought it would be an idea to watch all the films to understand what the whole ride is about. So after having seen all 7 Saw films, I think it is a brilliant film series. I honestly thought (and I may get burned on a stake for this) that the films got better as they went along (apart from Saw IV) and I felt that the way all the films are linked is effective. Here is my ranking from best to worst: 3D VI V III II IV I I know, the original Saw in last place. It dragged on way too much for my liking. JoshC.
Saw V is my least favourite. The Hoffman backstory is good, but the traps are the most nonsense of the series and there's just not much too it. IV is my favourite, and has the best ending - SO MANY TWISTS. JoshuaA
IV and I are my favourites. I cannot stand the seventh film, the plot is just so stupid.. It makes a good comedy I guess.. The overload traps really is not for me.

The original three are the best IMO, first one is awesome!

Each to his own man, you like The Babadook and I literally couldn't sit through a repeat watch of that rubbish. Before you kick off, I imported a blu ray from Australia to watch it as soon as possible when it came to home media. Dedicated but in the end very dissapointed. 23 hours ago, Terry Terry said: Here is my ranking from best to worst: 3D VI V III II IV I I've always been a Saw 2 and 6 man myself. 4 and 5 were complete messes. 3 is bit too gross for repeat watches, ending is fantastic though. 7 doesn't even feel like a proper Saw movie, I can't explain it, just feels off. On a first time viewing Saw 1 is brilliant, but when you've seen them all at least 5 times it is the one that takes the longest to get going. The being said it's been at least 4 years since I've watched a Saw film, still hold a special place in my heart though. I find it amusing Saw: The Ride got you into the Saw franchise though, with how poorly the ride represents the franchise I'm surprised you were persuaded to make the effort! TarinMaria
Saw I, II, and III are my favourites, V and VI are my least favourite, but I like how all the storylines connect with each other by the last film.I like all the films, and I like watching them with people who have never seen them. Saw IT the day after opening, loved it, found the scares quite comical, acting was great, Skarsgård was fantastic as Pennywise, some bigger events in the books were covered in the films that weren't covered in the miniseries. My biggest issue was that it sometimes felt like you were just waiting for Pennywise to appear on screen, but that might just be a huge compliment to Skarsgård's portrayal of the character.Hoping to head back to the cinema and see IT again, so really enjoyed it! You could say that... But the ride was the first time I'd ever seen a glimpse of the Saw franchise (the first time I ever heard of the franchise was from TV adverts of the ride in 2009). So Saw The Ride kind of set the benchmark (which might explain why I loved the films so much). I know the ride doesn't perfectly replicate the films, but it's always made sense to me why: the films are an 18 (and that's what most of the franchise is) but the ride isn't, you can't really show a torn off rib cage to 10 year olds. Charlesberg
So I just watched the fourth Final Destination film thinking it was the first... For starters, why was it called “The Final Destination”? There was literally no way for me to tell it was the fourth film (seeing as there was no number in the name, and that every other sequel had a number). Mega-Lite
Watched Jigsaw at the weekend and rather enjoyed it. Best review would be, if you're a fan of Saw, you're going to have an enjoyable 90 minutes, if you don't like Saw, this isn't going to convert you, don't bother. How can anyone not like the first film?

TarinMaria
I don’t dislike the first film, but I preferred the others because the first one dragged on a bit too much for my liking. The first film is a film I would say everyone has to watch before they die, a masterclass in how to make an incredibly low budget film, that balances gore and psychological horror, it is my favourite of the series, but I always end up watching all 7 of them in a row anyway [emoji23]
Mega-Lite
Watched Thor Ragnarok at the weekend and it was good fun, I'd probably rate it exactly in the middle of the MCU though as tonal issues and a lesser than it deserved story left me feeling a little dry. I thought it was massively overrated. Hela lacked any development or layers. The plot was non-apparent and I felt like the humour was really forced. It felt so different in tone to the 2 prequals - even the way Hemsworth played Thor seemed to be totally different. Certainly not the worst Marvel film, but I can name at least 8 better and 4 funnier. Also must be said that I entered the cinema with such high expectations due to my love of Taika Waititi... In other news, I watched Chinatown a few weeks ago. This film stunned me. I began watching with very little prior knowledge but the artful direction, soundtrack and performance by Jack Nicholson were all enough to make it my favourite film of all time. It’s even led me to get into a bit of a film noir obsessed phase... such a great genre. Mega-Lite
