Canada’s Wonderland is perhaps the biggest and most famous theme park in Canada, who are part of the Cedar Fair Group. In 2019 the park will be opening Yukon Striker, their brand new dive coaster which will become the longest in the world. Valravn at Cedar Point currently holds that title. Promotional video and animated POV Not sure on the name or the second half, but there are some interesting elements in the ride’s layout. The drop going under the water which interacts with their swinging coaster Vortex, is probably my favourite looking part of the ride.

  3. A surprise recently when I got the chance to ride the Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce. Always had wanted this and suddenly, there I was. This is a brilliant wooden roller coaster that ascends a climb hill through trees across boulder strewn terrain, to then descend around the wooded hill then hug it's contours. Racing between the trees, and bobbing around corners reaching speeds of 60mph. Great airtime and with speed at low level it creates a fantastic ride. Hope I'm allowed to post this link?

Yo I'm off to Thailand and Cambodia this summer. Since I feel like I can't go abroad without a cheeky theme park day or two I am wondering if anybody knows of any theme parks and water parks that are worth a visit in these countries. Chaars

  5. I didn't really know where to put this tbh, but seeing I couldn't find an existing/ appropriate topic, I thought I would create one. Sad news has been announced at Universal Singapore today it's been confirmed their roller coaster Battlestar Galactica will be closed for good. The ride, the tallest duelling coaster in the world, has been plagued with operational and technical problems since day one when it opened in 2010 and will be replaced with a new ride at the end of the year. Full details about the article can be found here https://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/what-is-buzzing/troubled-universal-studios-singapore-ride-battlestar-galactica-closes-084334087.html

Flying Turns is probably one of the more infamous bobsled coasters to come from America. A custom made ride by Knoebels in Pennsylvania, the coaster has been plagued by problem after problem after problem, and has been under construction since 2006. However, yesterday, pigs flew after the ride had finally opened! Couldn't find a topic so started on. Hong Kong Disneyland has always felt the small, overshadowed and forgotten Disney resort (though Paris is also debatable). However, this looks likely to change through a major new multi-year development scheme. One of the main main and most interesting parts of the scheme will see the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which will be transformed and aesthetically changed. Source-TDR Explorer The castle looks to adding to the castle rather than completely rebuilding. Still a first in Disney as this will be the first castle in park history to be extensively changed since opening. …

I don’t think there’s a topic on this park yet. This may well be the most beautiful theme park out there! The theming is just next level, it’s such a pretty park I am very glad I took the day to go. That said you probably don’t need more than a day. I hear they are expanding the park in 2022 with a new ‘port’, themed on tangled, frozen and Peter Pan, so that should help with the crowding. Some of the food options were very memorable including garlic shrimp popcorn and potato churros. Journey to the centre of the earth was a fun ride, and both Indiana Jones rides were quite dull, so it will be interesting to hear what rides the new port will ha…

  20. The mysterious pink track outside this park has finally been given some recognition. The new roller coaster will feature the name "DC Rivals Hypercoaster" which is a bit of a dull name but nevetheless, it still looks to be a great success with all the airtime and especially that bright colour.

2 new huge coasters have been built in the States, Intimidator at Carowinds and Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion. Both open today. The main one I wanted to talk about is I305, its the 2nd/3rd (If include one in Japan) Giga coaster built and it looks incredible. The amount of airtime and the quick transitions look fantastic! Shame we'll never see anything like it in this country. Only POV I could find was this one from TPR, so thanks TPR. What do you guys think ?
