Graw reacted to pluk in Adventure Island - SouthendClaw has moved to where vortex was, Vortex has gone apparently.
A shame, I quite liked it, but it never seemed popular. You'd think Scorpion was closer to death than Vortex though, and would have been a better option if one had to go.

Graw got a reaction from HermanTheGerman in Musicbecause he's stating that women in the music industry 'dress like prostitutes', and insinuating that that causes their success rather than their talent. not only is that shaming people for what they wear (and specifically women, in this case), it also insinuates that women who choose to show more skin than Adele are popular not for their singing ability, but due to their sexual image. thats just outright sexism and 'slut shaming' or whatever, lets be real here. people can where what they want, and it has no impact on their success or talents. women in the music industry can dress like Adele and be popular and talented, cool, but so can people who choose to dress differently and show more skin.
or they should be able to at least, without receiving criticism for it or being labeled 'prostitutes'. thats all I'm saying .

Graw got a reaction from HermanTheGerman in Musicoh, shut up. this such a gross, offensive and misogynistic point of view. people can wear whatever they want, and the amount of skin (in this case) a woman shows has no correlation to her talent or success. thanks.

Graw got a reaction from HermanTheGerman in Fright Nights 2019 - General Discussionas others had said, I'd just love to see a complete revamp with 5, even 4 just really good and decently long mazes. one outdoor one would be fine, but I really miss the intensity of the classic indoor attractions. I'd love saw alive to go (as fun as it is), and see a different maze in there if possible. a non TWD maze in the back of X with the quality of cabin in the woods in 2014/15 would be great. I could actually imagine a revamp or vulcan being great though tbh - the concept is one of the only unique ones they've had recently, every single maze is just zombies or serial killers - thorpe should really start branching out with themes tbh.
imagine what they could do with a swarm maze, or a technology themed maze or just something different - having humans in bloody makeup screaming 'ahh' or 'help me' in your face for 3 minutes hasn't got anymore entertaining in the last 8 years lmao. they need to step it up to match towers in terms of intensity, I'd rather be pushed around a bit or have some unique scares than just being screamed at in the face by every single actor. also, keep up the levels of roaming actors - I remember in 2013 actors were literally chasing ppl through the queue of asylum and chasing after them all the way into the toilets, but every year after that I've been I've hardly even seen any actors.
I just think they need a complete revamp, new themes, less boring scares, more intensity, some decent parkwide theming and just.....make it more of an event?? rather than an average thorpe day with some shipping containers plonked near Colossus

Graw reacted to JoshC. in The Walking Dead - The Ride: SPOILERSLots of improvements and subtle changes made to the ride lately:
-New siren in the pre show area.
-Walkway from pre show to station is darker and more intense.
-New dispatch sequence (lights dim to near pitch darkness, plus either new audio or louder audio)
-New speakers on the lift hill
-Lots of special effects at the end of the ride (generator), with flashing lights, loud audio and air blasts.
-Even LOUDER fog horn in post show
-Changes to the exit corridor, with more stuff throughout
It's great to see lots of tweaks being made to get this right. For me, the corridor between the pre show and station is a real highlight - genuinely unnerving walking through near darkness, hearing that each area you walk through had been compromised, and all lights going out behind you.

Graw reacted to Mer in Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the DemonThis was my thinking too (and yes it does appear to always do the same movement)! Plus I just didn’t think that Thorpe would actually pay someone to do that when they could just use an animatronic Kudos to them if they actually do

Graw got a reaction from JoshuaA in The Walking Dead: The Ride - Speculation and 'Construction'that actually looks so ****ing stupid lmao

Graw got a reaction from Olistjj in The Walking Dead: The Ride - Speculation and 'Construction'I only ever went on X:NWO about twice, and this was just before it changed to it's current form, so there wasn't many pre or post ride experiences. I'm aware that there used to be fake lifts before the station, but just out of interest - what were the original pre and post ride experiences?
(also the post above me if is incredible)

New for 2019: My Chemical Romance: The Ride! To celebrate their long awaited and obvious reunion, the island transforms to celebrate the incoming Black Parade - the bleak progression of the dead take over the park and infest their souls into the pyramid (another obvious horror theme, maybe Merlin should hire me (I really hope they do I heckin' need a full time job)).
-
Graw got a reaction from ProudToServe in The Walking Dead: The Ride - Speculation and 'Construction'my guess is living nightmare extreme won't be an actual extreme FIA type thing, but will probably just be an improved and maybe scarier/more intense version of the maze. after all, they want it to get the crowds in - the majority of people would much rather a scary, intense yet normal maze rather than being thrown about in handcuffs and have fake ****e thrown all over them for 10 minutes

Graw reacted to JoshC. in Fright Nights 2017I didn't watch it (18+ only), but I seem to remember that actors and special effects were advertised, but they never actually appeared. It ended up just being some clips from the first 5 films (of gory traps) and the trailer for the new film (Saw VI I think?). Quite disappointing.
If memory serves me correctly, there was an 'Ultimate Horror Movie Bites' show in 2002 and 2003, which showed assorted horror film clips and the finale was Texas Chainsaw Massacre with an actor with a chainsaw appearing. Not too sure on that though. Wasn't that popular and replaced with Circus of Horrors.

Graw got a reaction from Josh3103 in Favourite Scare Attractionthe sanctuary at towers 2014, and cabin in the woods last year are definitely the best experiences I've had in a maze. cabin last year on my run through was actually insane, shame to hear it wasn't as good this year

Graw reacted to Mitchada04 in ScarefestScarefest is just great! The park audio changing, the theming, just the overall fun vibe. Even little things like changing of some shop signs right down to all staff having a green name badge instead of the usual blue.
The Ancestors are great, the flash mob is good fun and I just love the interaction they have with everyone, even when they go down to Gloomy Wood and just chat to people down there. Great fun!
The kids line up seemed the same and popular so that's probably a good thing for them.
Scarezones. I remember saying last year how Dark Appocalypse had more of a complete package than Thorpe's mazes. I'll stick to that I think. It has a story, effects and all just works. Simple but effective. Now Nox Infernus however was awful so I'm glad that's gone, and freak show is a fab replacement. Set pieces, loads of actors, brilliant music, lighting, and interactive actors. Great fun and so easy to do.
Also think there were more actors at points in this than there were in some Thorpe mazes.
The coasters looked great in some cases this year! Oblivion was lit with an orange glow (I'll put photos in a blog at another point) Rita was greeny, Galactica had the blue glow and portal, Smiler was cool with just the Marmaliser emitting light and Nemesis looked amazing!
The mazes!
So I didn't do House of Monsters but have heard rave reviews so there you go. I'll use them. IT'S GREAT. Done.
Terror of the Towers: I've never done this so actually quite enjoyed it. I can see how people would find it stale after however many years its been, but it's good fun and really well themed throughout. Decent length and has some decent jumps for a conga maze. The strobe is pretty intense too. Solid maze in my eyes.
Sub Species: After last year this had a lot to live up to. I was quite worried it wouldn't, but it did. It's the same assault on everything, being dragged about, pushed down different routes, grabbed, I got span around, just a complete mess with your senses. It didn't quite have the same wow factor because it wasn't new, but it was still stunning in every way. The only downside is the tunnel scene isn't as good now due to only one route so it's not a maze of tunnels. The one ending in my eyes is fine as I never witnessed the illusive second ending anyway.
Mine Tours: I will spoiler tag some of this, but overall really well themed maze with some clever and different effects, and the same intense level of Sub Species actors in the grabbing pushing etc, just a shame about the ending!!!!
Overall another great year for Scarefest and I look forward to it growing even more!

Graw got a reaction from Matt A in Fright Nights 2016after seeing Blair Witch yesterday, I'm really excited to see how Thorpe have expanded on the maze. I'm hoping rather than just having a small shed at the end, they incorporate the actual house. there's loads of possibilities of new scares from the new film...I just hope they've done more than add an extra tent or something, which wouldn't suprise me

Graw reacted to FrightNights2016 in Fright Nights 2016There a nude woman in Saw last year, you have to sign a form before going in which basically states you may be exposed to nudity, strong language, violent scenes etc. and there not lying, It all depends which actors are in that maze on how extreme it is, out of all three I have done the actors in Saw last year were just on a whole another level and they did everything and anything they were allowed!
EDIT - I can confirm I was stripped to my boxers last year in saw and things just got more extreme as it went on
