February 20, 201510 yr comment_203193 Interesting comment, given that Twister has plenty of airtime throughout the course... It sure does, but for me the restraints dampened most of that airtime by pinning you into the seats - little chance of bum-off-seat action to be had. It's a shame to have awesome layouts coupled with trains that prevent you from fully enjoying them. I've had similar experiences with the Maurer X-Car trains. Those too are comfortable and can offer a smooth ride, but the huge weighty lapbar tends to mean more suffocation and less floating That said - am still excited to have a new woodie being built so close to us in Ireland!
February 20, 201510 yr comment_203194 Guess it depends on how much stapling is involved then by the staff, though with the likes of Abismo and Shock the lapbar also wasn't completely tight on me, perhaps body proportions is a big thing about it...
February 21, 201510 yr comment_203284 Wooden warrior is great for all it's little humps. I could see this one having some fun bits too.
April 6, 201510 yr comment_206528 Photo update from just over a week ago: Sauce, with plenty more photos: http://www.themeparks.ie/europe/tayto/201503-2-construction-06.htm Still no sight of an inversion yet, but progress is being made!
April 6, 201510 yr Author comment_206537 Magnificent looking coasts <3 <3 some people are saying that this "inversion" is just a very overbanked turn and some are saying it's a corkscrew so we will have to see what happens in later construction updates but it already looks so so good!!
April 6, 201510 yr comment_206560 That's a lot of wood! toofpikk - I absolutely love Wooden Warrior, fantastic ride. toofpikk
April 6, 201510 yr comment_206562 It's looking all mighty and-well wooden. Hopefully get to ride this soon.
April 27, 201510 yr comment_208199 Something tells me you wont be waiting that long. SW8 should be ready early 2017 and it would make sense if that was a RMC.
May 27, 201510 yr comment_209614 That looks amazing, definitely hoping to ride this beauty in the near future.
June 3, 201510 yr comment_210305 I think we need cheering up, fortunately for that, we have Tayto Park:
June 3, 201510 yr comment_210313 Well it definitely looks a lot nicer than I was expecting, considering I was unsure of that front design to begin with.
June 3, 201510 yr comment_210319 According to reports....."Europe’s largest inverted wooden roller coaster". I can't recall if this has an inversion or not?
June 4, 201510 yr comment_210400 The trains look like a constipated HeMan that's had his hands tied behind his back... :/
June 4, 201510 yr comment_210417 Some positive reports coming out of the media day today (THERE'S a shock, especially with enthusiasts there)... Hopefully a POV will come out of it, though it does appear that the 'inversion' is a really over-banked turn (like, +90 degrees style)...
June 5, 201510 yr Author comment_210524 Cu Chulainn POV here, I think it does look incredible! Many, many airtime moments, twisty, doesn't lose pace at all by the looks of things and a he man train, best looking woodie in the british isles thats for sure!!
June 5, 201510 yr comment_210527 That thing is speedy! Although, the over banked corner an inversion is a bit... Um. Ride looks like a **** tonne of fun though
June 5, 201510 yr comment_210540 Inversion? Inversion? Where? It does look really cool. Timberliners are renowned for their ability to maintain a high level of consistent speed, but until recently they were always pocket sized coasters. This looks really fun though, looking forward to riding it.
