February 10, 201411 yr comment_176260 Thunder River looks so much better too, with its nice misty cave. And all that greenery around the back of X No Way Out where Trappers Trail was, now all tarmac and fences... It seems Thorpe Park hit puberty really badly. Where did all the innocence go?
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176261 Thunder River's tunnel looked fantastic back then! Why remove that and leave the warehouse on show/have it in total darkness?
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176270 like everyone else says, thunder river looks amazing! I also niticed how amazing the show looked at the end, no cheap banners or a couple of ramps, that's how a show should be!
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176287 Well done for finding that OliIzzy! That is easily one of the best things I have seen in a long time.
February 12, 201411 yr comment_176347 I wanna ride the flying fish OUCH. I love the total unprofessionalness of this video. Must've paid some external company barely any money to make it. Brilliant.
February 12, 201411 yr comment_176360 My favourite part is when they enter Thunder Rapids talking some gibberish about designing reindeers, then the presenter almost walks into the cameraman and quietly apologises. Even in 1997 this would have been very bizarre video!
February 14, 201411 yr comment_176488 The 90s The hell happened to Thorpe is the best question... ...Chessington included
February 15, 201411 yr comment_176521 BRING BACK TRAPPERS TRAIL get rid of Fungle safari and put a large play area in that spot
February 15, 201411 yr comment_176537 The area where Slammer and the top end of Colossus is now. It was demolished to make way for Colossus, but most of the space was empty or used for storage until Slammer was eventually built there. There are still a few clues if you look around, although I'd imagine it's mostly unrecognisable without all the foliage and the new pathways.

There used to be one of the timber towers visible just next to the gates where Slammer currently is, but its long gone now. At least, I think thats what it was from. Bizarre thing to build otherwise! Back when it was a nice green lawn!
March 11, 201411 yr comment_177994 On a different point, I'm not sure if people have seen it before but I found a gem of a video from 2002...
March 11, 201411 yr comment_177995 Brill video! Wonder why the Freezer/Asylum music was briefly playing in the dome?!
March 11, 201411 yr comment_178001 Brill video! Wonder why the Freezer/Asylum music was briefly playing in the dome?! Probs advertising FN on the old giant wall of screens, they did that a LOT... And look kids, that's what Colossus looked like when it had been painted, you'll never be lucky enough to see it for real though, sorry...
March 11, 201411 yr comment_178005 Colossus looks so much nicer without all the excess foliage, rust, oil, mould... you get the idea.
March 11, 201411 yr comment_178017 Really brings back childhood memories Especially the farm and the model village.
March 16, 201411 yr comment_178428 Here's a video I just found of thorpe from the year I was born! The park has changed so much in 17 years
March 25, 201411 yr comment_179301 Just saw on Facebook that some of the old ride cars and information from Thorpe's history are currently on display at the park in the dome. Looks to be there until 28th March https://www.facebook.com/southparks
May 11, 201411 yr comment_182927 Just released my latest video. I was looking at old tapes in the house and found a video of the Park in 1992. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0h4aMGdgol4&feature=youtu.be
